This choice: she was having a "lucid" dream (unaware) • Go Back... A low groan rose from Wednesday’s throat as she ‘awoke’ to light and the sounds of home. The distant, shrill screams were the most comforting sounds to her ears after weeks navigating a shared space with Enid. Wednesday, supine and groggy, indulged in the horrified shrieks for a few moments longer before deciding to greet the day. She reached for where she thought her alarm was to stop its incessant screaming, only to feel something hard press against her fingers too close to her body to be the nightstand she grew up with. In fact, now that she was thinking about it, the bed was uncomfortable in all the wrong ways! A prank? Perhaps. That made the most sense, didn’t it? “Impressive they got me sleeping,” she grumbled as she opened her eyes, ready to disassemble her captor’s contrived countermeasures…only to be stopped dead by the vision before her.

Slowly sitting up, Wednesday saw a cityscape stretch out before her, perfectly proportioned to leave her normally petite frame towering like the monsters that normal people were so terrified of. She frowned. “I didn’t know I was prone to such fanciful things,” she said as she slowly began to rise to her feet, her boots sinking into the asphalt unready to bear her new weight. “There should be more screaming if it’s going to be my dream,” she said, slowly raising her right foot before bringing it down on the abandoned cars in front of her, feeling one of them crunch and crumple under her foot like an empty soda can.
Fire erupted from under her boot as the car was engulfed in flames. She could swear she felt the heat under her boot as she kicked the wreckage at some of the fleeing vermin around her. Turning her attention to the wonderland her “dream” had constructed around her, Wednesday decided she might as well make the most of this adventure as she….
