"We can't be sure it's someone friendly. We don't even know why people never make it back from here," Valery said.
Turning her wheel, the ship too a sharp left turn towards the pale glowing.
As much as Jasmine wanted to argue, she knew that there was no grantee, just as Valery said. Then she felt Valery pulling her closer.
"Whatever happens, I'll be here to keep you safe."
What that, Jasmine's worries were set aside, since it meant being so close to her captain.
Once they entered the pale light, they couldn't see much of anything. The black skies were replaced by a thick white fog. After a few moments of sailing, they had no ideas what direction they were going. But they soon came across something. Out from the water were sunken ships. Their figureheads and masts sticking out of the waters surface. Some looked really old. Usually Valery would have thought to check them out for treasure, but now might not be the right time.
"I'm thinking you might have been right Jasmine," Valery told her.
"I agree. This place doesn't seem too big we could maybe return to-"
Jasmine's plans were interrupted them she looked out and saw a large shadowy figure coming towards them. It wasn't a monster, it looked like... a ship. It was slight bigger then their own. The figurehead of a beautiful woman was the first to appear before the rest of the ship came into view.
When the two ships were side by side, the wind suddenly died down, leaving them both next to each other. They couldn't see anyone, no one at the wheel or walking along the deck.
"Maybe it's... runs by ghosts," one if the crew suggested. It sounded ridiculous, but Valery had heard of strange stories.
