Speed Reading/reviewing- 1000 word story won't even take me five minutes to read, and you'll get a review within 10 minutes of me reading it. As it is, my reviews are usually around 300 Characters- minus my Review Sig. However, sometimes they'll reach the 1,000 Character mark. Depends on the Story/item. *Bigsmile*

Well, this is an interesting section of the story. The FBI agent is searching the latest crime scene, and is trying to take evidence. Meanwhile, it seems that another man seems to think that the FBI agent isn't whom he claims to be.

There are a few sentences where the boy is speaking but the first word isn't capitalized. Of course, this could be an indication of mumbling.

Thanksgiving - always a fun time trying to arrange things, even if the place you are going to isn't even twenty miles away, because of other things. Especially when you lack a car yourself. One sibling is coming up from 200+ miles to the South, another is out deer hunting, and everyone else is busy. Finally, things come together, see your grandma, dad, and over a dozen relatives you only see three times a year. Then the dog grabs the bird and you have to chase after it outside because someone opened the door at the wrong time! (Okay, that one never happened, that I know of.) Still, always fun.

Well, this is an interesting start to a story. First up you have a young man and his father trying to figure out what has been stealing their livestock. Next you have a federal agent dealing with the aftermath of an investigation. Looks good so far.

Well, this looks like the start of an interesting story. You have a young man who seems to be having a lot of trouble in school. He meets up with a young woman, who has a very jealous boyfriend. However, it seems that bad things are to happen to the young man.

Well, this is an interesting story. You have a young man meeting up with a mermaid. However, it seems that the mermaid's lake is cursed, as it were, for the members of the man's tribe, because of what a long dead seer has said. Things become more interesting when the young man's mother finds out.

This is an interesting poem, which seems to be about the life of your son, a young man with Autism. I can relate to this, in a number of ways, as I happen to have Autism myself. It can be hard dealing with those who can't, or won't, understand you. Good read.

Suggestions
I'd increase the Rating on this story to 18+, maybe even GC, due to violence and swearing, and said swearing includes a few uses of a big swear word around here - the kind that if used twice in a story of about 2,000 words would generally get it bumped to GC - substitute said swear word and you might be fine with 18+, although some might say otherwise anyways.

This is an interesting poll. It asks people the question about if writing in multiple genres is a Good thing, or a Bad thing. To be honest, I find this to be a good thing. If you can show that you are talented across multiple genres, it's a way of showcasing your ability and skills, and you're not stuck in only one section. Of course, sometimes one writes similar things in different genres, but the trick is knowing how to twist things right.

Well, this is an interesting contest. Create a story that has a Steampunk theme, and using the prompts to be utilized, you could get some very nice prizes, including the very nice Stempunk Merit Badge, which is nice to have if you like to write, or at least support, such things.

This is a fun group to check out. It's dedicated to that subgenre of Science Fiction known as Steampunk, where everything runs on steam, or looks like it was invented in the 19th century, instead of the 20th/21st centuries. Makes one want to do some thinking.

This is an interesting story. A woman finds out that her neighbor was the victim of a Halloween prank, involving a bunch of eggs. However, as she tries to help the guy, he begins to act very strange, especially when the garbage is mentioned, and makes a terrifying discovery.
