I am finding my stride and living life in a world filled with chaos and change.
This is a new sig, gifted to me from Kiya a party gift! from the Summer Potluck Party!

And here's my Simpsonized picture...Just for fun, I've been Simpsonized!

and my daughter, Baba. Isn't she cute? An image of my daughter as a character from the Simpsons

Actually, I need to upload the whole family, just for the heck of it sometime. Then, I'll always have them right here with me. *Smile*

This journal forced itself into being because I loathe, no, I mean, I love to write. It is a struggle to state what I am thinking inside so a daily blog is just what I need. Not because I want to, I must. My thoughts are begging to be heard before they are lost in the caverns of my mind.

This is one of my new sigs. Transported to the days on on the Nile...delicious!

My husband and I were speaking on how our Christmas gift giving has gone up, in value, it seems each year and it really feels nice. This year our daughter received so many gifts from us and even though that is not the measure of our love for our child, it just felt positive to get her many of the things she asked for. *Smile*

And hey, Santa, aka my hubby, sure did surprise me this year with a Kindle Fire! Now that was an unexpected surprise. :D Hope many people were surprised by the generosity of loved ones this Christmas season as I was by my husband...now I've got to learn a new technical device again. *Smile*

I just had to share this. My friend in college suggested to me that I take this labor studies class titled, "Equality vs Inequality". It was a 16 week seminar that looked at the structural issues within the United States from a historical standpoint. It totally changed my thinking on so many levels. I now know that I wasn't just thinking that something was amiss...whatever it was that I could "see" but just could not understand, nor explain, they were not just in my head.

I am so happy to know that now.

I just posted, well, yesterday I posted my first two items in my portfolio in over a year. It might actually be more than that but I'd like to stop at that number so I can save a bit of face in this matter. *Blush*

They are not much but I'm pretty happy to put some new work up and hope to add to it very soon. It feels good to write a bit more and my hope is, as the schooling endeavor slowly wraps up, I might get back to writing again. Lord knows, I have much to talk about here. *Smile*

Well, it looks like around 46 days ago, I thought I would start writing in my blog...unfortunately, I have not done so. I have rested up a bit, which I needed to do before I start summer classes in less than two weeks. *CoffeeGr* Looks like I'll be back to gulping down the coffee...again!

I did write a few poems that I want to put up today...hopefully. My daughter is entering an art project in our local 4H-Fair. It is such a blessing to have this type of outlet at her age. We are so excited and it really is building her confidence...but she is full this. *Cool*

I'll write more tomorrow...thank again for reading!

Well, school has ended as of last Tuesday and it's taken my hubby and me till today to feel like I have a bit of my bearings together.

Still feeling tired today but I think it will get better soon. And I wrote a few poems the other day. I need to upload them and share. Till later...

I cannot scarcely believe it but I am coming to the end of a long school year and boy, am I looking forward to a little R&R! Yep, it might be the right time to write a few things or read some good writing prior to writing a thing down. I am very, very rusty in my writing, which is to my shame. *Cry*

I am hopeful that once I can really take a look at a few writing ideas, I will finally begin to purge out the old writing and add some new things.

Oh, and if you are looking for a good book to read, please check out the new Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child novel, "Gideon's Sword". These authors are just amazing and their continued bursts of creativity is very inspiring. Well, better turn in but I'll be back soon.

Time really does fly, unnoticed, yet it moving swiftly and seamlessly by. Time has moved by so completely that me and my husband will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary on Tues! Are we going somewhere special? Yes, for us. It is the place that I wanted to go so many anniversaries past and my husband remembered my wanting to go there even when I had forgotten.

I am SO excited and eager to spend this time with him...alone, which is a feat that is understood for any parent with small kids around.

Our daughter is spending her first overnight play date with her cousin; our son is house sitting with his girlfriend and the grand baby, Ares.

It's amazing how much I will definitely appreciate this time alone, unlike I would ten years ago.

Right now, I am reading this awesome book for writers-to-be titled, "Elmore Leonard's Ten Rules for Writing" and I feel encouraged that at some point, some day soon, I might learn to write correctly too!

Oh, and if you are interested in writing the thrillers, you MUST check out the link to The Big Thrill blog in my blog links page. I know no one has a reason to visit it but hopefully, someone will. I am currently reading week's post on Story, character, dialogue and setting cliches. This is real good! Hope you stop by and check it out.
