Then, I'll always have them right here with me.  A BIG edit on this journey. I'm forced to agree with the fact, yes, it's a fact that though I attempt to blog, I do so not well and in bits, so, it's MORE about how I am a bad blogger than about documenting this life's journey. | Today was a little bit "better" but a hole in my life is so present right now. I'm so used to him being bedside Or right under my feet, daring me to accidentally catch his soft paws. The constant begging for water, or treats, more food Never seemingly full, always ready for more in his food dish. I remember the morning that it hit me how special he was. I'd gotten up for a middle of the night bathroom stroll He follows me inside. I protest. He insists. I crumple. I chide him playfully, and rub him on the head before using the facilities. I hear a small motor start up. I am amazed. Why is he purring right now, I think? There's no food. I've not given him a treat. His eyes don't betray the happiness he feels inside. He sounds happy anyway. I go back to bed knowing that God sent the most loving cat into our home and that thought comforted me. Well, that was our friend, a member of our little family and his warmth will be missed. I guess he's spreading this love to our heavenly baby now. Sounds right. |
| Wow! Today was both sad and grateful. Our family pet, Chompy Chester Charleston the 3rd, departed from this world and from our lives this morning. It was very unexpected. I was so sure he'd make it through till the meds arrived in the mail. He didn't. Not this time. I was in the midst of editing and left out some parts of my newsletter. It couldn't be helped this time. My eyes were filled with tears. Fingers barely typed to finish. He was always moving even though he was elderly. Really gonna miss his energy. I'll remember his purring just because you spoke to him, or you picked him, and called his name. He'd purr at you just because he loved you. No treat. No kitty food. Just because. What a special cat we were blessed with!  Now, he's gone on to be with our son Cloud, my sister, my brother, my father, my husband's father in Heaven. We'll see you someday sweet Chompy. Thanks for all of the great memories and love you spread while with us these past 10 years. ♥ |
| So, the CEO of Burger King didn't check his email yet. lol As if I thought he'd see my email. There's 125k million billion emails and texts flowing in right now. Mine is last on their list but I still sent something in. Our poor kitty is feeling down today. He's got stomach and urinary upsets but I had to order meds to give to him. They won't be here till Tuesday (I always think of that 80s band), but I'm hoping and praying it'll get here tomorrow. He needs this at our earliest convenience, as they say. I'll keep my eyes out for that email response next week but more importantly, the meds for our dear kitty, our family friend. |
| Free Burger King Whopper gimmick fell so flat...again! lol I've been a fan of Burger King for more years than I should have invested in this brand but I was. Two days ago, our young daughter alerted me (and my husband) about a "free" Whopper promotion to just boost more customer engagement. I suggested this was fishy, at first. I looked on their site, Googled it, Binged it (lol) and when I checked the sources all stated that this brand, Burger King, was ACTUALLY giving their sandwich away without a purchase. It just didn't seem like Burger King. With ALL of their previous promotions, unlike McDonald's which consistently gives away food without a required fries and drink purchase, Burger King even on their receipt gives away the food (burgers/chicken sandwich) if you buy a separate fry and drink. But not this time. I was shocked. So we waited two days and today, in the afternoon, drove over to our local Burger King. I was puzzled by the lack of cars in the lot with the requirement that you walk in the building to redeem the offer but hey! I don't mind getting out of my car. lol Went in to the Burger King, waited behind a woman ordering a fish sandwich and coffee, and after she left with her ticket went to inquire of the promotion. I'm already bored myself with this drivel because I really knew that they'd never give away their food without a transaction. Ah! Well, guess I've got to write a letter . | Wow!!! It's already Friday again and it's pizza day, pizza time here. This week really went well and I had some new ideas that I hopefully can organize to share here but definitely positive changes are afoot! lol Our grandkids are returning to school in two weeks, well, our grandson for sure since he's a sophomore this year. He's growing up so fast I'm so proud of his work on his YouTube channel and he was so thrilled after seeing the new Spiderman with his family, oh, and I've got to see this too now, calling it the BEST Spider-Man of the bunch. I can't wait to weigh in on this new movie. My husband and I are both fans of this superhero. Fans for waaaay before Spider-Man looked this polished with the outfit changes and updated graphics in the movies and in the comics. lol Well, I'd better run now. Got pizza and drinks waiting on me. ♥ Later, Gators lol |

Well, something good seems to be happening lately. I'm blogging daily but I don't want to jinx myself by presumptuous counting but I am trying to document the changes as they happen. This is a change for sure. We removed some paintings from a few local businesses today and it was good, really good. Daughter has another appointment later this week. This one is unexpected but so as long as it involves helping this allergy which will grant her immunity from cat dander, then we must try to wherever and whenever it is possible. | Today was really busy but I think we're making some headway. I feel better about my time choices lately. There's much to do but if I continue to divide up the time better, I think more can get accomplished. Got a few appointments tomorrow. Take down a few paintings tomorrow too. Looking forward to it all. |
