Nice entry. It, not having too large a group of friends, shows that you can see into people deeply and act sincerely in their presence.
I used to have several groups of friends when young, but in old age, life has thrown us all over the world and we can only communicate online and sometimes, not even that.

I love the idea of "caravanning" with very little to take care of. Maybe once my kids are grown up, I can do that with my husband. I also really like my heated hairbrush, though most days I let my crazy curls take over.

I can see that. A few decades ago, when we traveled a lot, I, too, could live out of one small suitcase.
But in old age and alone, my needs have multiplied.

You just reminded me of my mother.

She always had brewed tea and she even walked around the house, sometimes, holding a cup. She wouldn't drink other hot drinks, voluntarily.

I guess we think of climate change as the rise in temperatures, which we are certainly experiencing here, but I think it’s more about the rise in extreme weather events such as floods, cyclones and extreme cold too. It seems every country is experiencing these. The weather in the US has certainly made the news worldwide. Hope everyone you know is safe, Joy.

Now that Valentine's Day is near, what do you think real love is?

Real love is the one that survives the lows as well as the highs. As lovely as it is romantic love can’t last. But it can be replaced by something stronger. Loyalty is a kind of love and can’t be beaten in my opinion, because whilst flowers and promises are desirable, knowing that there is one person who will always have your back no matter what, is irreplaceable.
Of course one can never tell if your chosen partner will be the forever one until the journey is through, so it’s all a matter of faith, hard work and commitment. I guess I’m getting towards the end of that journey with my life partner after being together for 65 years, so hopefully we’ll creak to the finishing line together.

But maybe the only genuine love is the love a mother has for their child, it seems no one questions it, it is just a given.
