I love your story setting in Greece. Your details seem to be quite accurate. I think you might wish to change the name of the family from DuPont to something fictional. The DuPonts are quite well known and this could be confusing. Perhaps a Greek surname. The story has captured my attention and would like to read further. I am hoping it involves a Greek myth. Happy writing. I am thinking that the mansion might be more realistic if built/furnished in a Grecian manner. Just my humble opinion.
I am intrigued by this brief foray into your sci-fi omniverse. I also detect hints of subtle humor throughout--this lightens things up a bit. Like the idea of the sanruphrups and healing hounds. You clearly have a grasp of now and future technology. My only suggestion is that some of this new technology needs to be fleshed out further for the reader to have a better understanding. Happy writing!
am eagerly awaiting more of this story. Animals, pets tug at our hearts because they are the epitome of love and kindness. They love us without reserve. I am sorry you suffered at the hands of a governmental agency. Banish the patriarchy and government, I say. A rare Bengal tiger was killed at our Naples Zoo because some fool thought it was a good idea to put his arm in the cage. Stupid humans. May 2022 be empty of stupid humans and full of magickal pets. Blessings.
I enjoyed this thought/image. For some reason I immediately thought of an actual thing that some county fairs hold--table decorating. There are many arcane rules and regulations. I love vintage tableware, pottery, flatware and linens. I would love a contest like this---however, not enough space to store all this "stuff". Already have too much "stuff".
This review is for "I Write in 2020", I have difficulty writing forms with rhyme and meter restrictions so always impressed by those attempts. Some of the meter in this seems a bit "off", but I am hardlt one to judge this. A valiant description of our current situation. Happy writing in this time of pandemic.
I am reviewing as your entry came up for I write in 2020. The hymn mentioned "it is well with my soul" is one of my favorites. I admire your devotion and steadfastness to your faith. We all need a faith anchor to hold on to through these perilous times. May your life be filled with grace and health.
Well Hoovsie--I always enjoy your little ditties. And an Irish limerick just in time for St. Paddy's Day! So you are greeting Galway with just a smile and a sweater? I sure and would like to see that. Is that a blue ribbon tied round underneath that kilt? Happy writing.
Thank you for introducing me to a new band that I wasn't familiar with. I saw Ford vs. Ferrari and don't recall this song making an impact on me. All I recall is a tune on the radio that Ken Miles and his wife danced to. I drive a 2016 VW Beetle Convertible names "Silky". My driving music is more Van Morrison. Happy writing.
Well I appreciate your little pop-up poem though I am not certain how well it fits the picture prompt. I would like to see an elaboration of the choices that you ultimately did make. We all do the best with what we know at the time. I would like to know how you feel your life is at this point. Happy writing.
Well, Kare--I think if you had the setting correct your entry would have won. I love singing--don't do anything with it these days.
chorus in high school-----when I attended church sang in the informal church choir. I too was too shy to solo. Until many years ago I took a voice class at Unity of Naples. The instructor encouraged me to sing, felt my voice was lovely--I did for a while--not much now. I have thought about learning the ukelele--I have short, stubby fingers. I am not good with instruments--tried guitar, then dulcimer, not likely to try the ukelele.
