| Proverbs 15:16-17 16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. 17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Many times in our life, we fail to be thankful for all that we have been given. We want material things that we think will make us happy. Sometimes having a little, makes us far more richer than having a lot. When we struggle to pay bills, experience pain and sorrow, we stay close to God. If we had every thing that we thought we needed, we would drift away from God. Sometimes a little contains a lot more than we realize. When we stay close to God and hold onto Him, we see what blessings we have truly been given. God provides for us in ways that many would not think possible. He gives us a family and fills our home with love. He provides the home we live in. He provides the love that dwells within our hearts and homes. God provides the meals that are prepared with love. He provides the house that we call home, He provides clothing and shoes.God gives us heat to keep us warm in our home that He provides. When we think about all the many blessings that God has blessed us with we are far richer than we could ever imagine. God provides us with a washer and dryer to do a laundry. He pays the bill for the water and electric that is required to run the appliances. God has blessed our family greatly and I just want to give Him all the praise and glory for all that He has done. God let us wake up to see another day, for that I am thankful. He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, for that I am most thankful. Our salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ makes us far richer than any silver or gold this world contains. Sometimes the simple things in life, bring more happiness than we truly realize. Sometimes a little contains a lot more than we think God holds our hand daily, when we are about to sink No matter what problems we may face God will lead us by His amazing grace No matter where we may be in this life Don't stress just follow Jesus Christ God blesses us with everything we need He is great and worthy of our praise indeed Having a little can mean we have more than enough When God provides all things when times are tough When love, laughter, family and friends are held close to our hearts The love of Jesus Christ, and the promise He will never depart No silver or gold of this earth can compare with the little things God provides salvation and all things we need, it makes our hearts sing |
| Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Many times life can be cruel. Things happen that will make us question our very existence. Things happen that cause us so much pain and grief. Sometimes events can break our heart, and cut us to the core. Changes in our life can shake our faith, and make us lack trust in God. We begin to tell ourselves, it is hard to live our life for God. We begin to think that everything is easy for Him way up in heaven. We begin to think that God doesn't understand all that we go through, God does know and He understands our pain. He sent His only Son to live on this earth, Jesus experienced pain and suffering. He was isolated and rejected by many. He was denied by His own people. We must put our trust in God completely. To let Him take care of all things, regardless. He will lead and guide us. He will carry us through, if we just trust and obey Him. To submit to His will, and trust that He will deliver us no matter what happens. Trust In The Lord Lord, in You I place all my trust To place it in Your hands is a must No matter what happens today You will always lead the way No matter what happens You are there All my burdens with You I will share Through all my grief,sorrow, and pain You wipe my tears that fall like rain In You I place all my trust, now and forever One day in heaven, we shall always be together I know many times my faith is small But I know that You are Lord of all I know that many times, I begin to question and doubt That is when I know with You, I truly can't do without Father, in You I will place my complete trust To trust You all my life, is an absolute must I could never make it one day without You All my problems in life, You carry me through |
| I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. 1 John 2:12 We need to remember daily that through the blood of Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. That by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, all sins are forgiven. It is not anything that we have done, but all that Jesus gave to save our soul. We need to praise God for sending His only Son to die for our sins. Every day we need to tell the world of what God has done for us. To let them know the joy that we feel inside. The peace that Jesus has placed within our heart. Through the blood of Jesus Christ we are saved. Jesus gave His life on Calvary to save a lost sinner like me. What love He showed for all sinners. Let us give the credit to Jesus every single day, for the mercy and love that He extended to all sinners on the cross. Let us praise God daily, for the sending Jesus to die for our sins. Jesus paid it ALL, we owe everything to Jesus our Lord and Savior. Let us give praise to God thanking Him for forgiving our sins, and saving our soul from Hell. Jesus paid it all, and He paid a high cost for our sin debt. Jesus paid the debt for our sins He went to Calvary to cleanse us within Jesus died on the cross He come to save the loss He suffered so much agony and pain So that Heaven could be our gain Jesus paid it all, all to Him we owe No greater love could we ever know Jesus loved all sinners, His mercy and grace was revealed The darkness that covered us, has been removed we are healed |
| Psalm 38:15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. When we are so burdened, sometimes we feel like our situation is hopeless. Let us always remember, that God knows all that we go through. He will help us no matter what obstacles we may face. When we feel like our world around us is falling in, God can and will send a miracle our way. We may be unable to meet the demands of paying bills, completing a project that the boss requires, or trying to juggle home and work. Sometimes we feel that there is no end to our problems. When we get discouraged and overwhelmed we need to turn to God in prayer. To discuss with our heavenly Father that we need help in solving our problems. We need to lay our load at Jesus' feet, at the foot of the cross and leave it there. God will provide us a solution, because He knows our every need and will always meet it. So when a check shows up in the mail, or someone gives you extra money, always give God the praise and glory for He delivers right on time. He gives us so many blessings that we could never count them all. Rest assured if we are having money problems God knows, He will provide for that electric and water bill. Just step back and give it all to God and He WILL show you exactly how powerful He truly is. In the process He will use our story to help others who are struggling to trust Him. God Will Provide God will provide your every need He hears our every single plead God will provide food for you to eat He will give you a bed so you can sleep He will record your name in the book of life If you will believe and accept His only Son Jesus Christ He will give you love and provide, all the things that you may lack He will give you comfort, when all the clouds in your life are black He will give you a place to live Just ask and God has the power to give He will give you shoes to wear He will carry your cross when it’s load you can no longer bare God can provide anything in your life that is required He will meet your every need, but not your every desire God will provide for His children He is to be admired I’m glad for my soul Jesus was hired |
| Ephesians 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. In this passage Paul tells of how God called him to preach. Paul knew that he could do nothing without God. Paul told that through the risen Savior Jesus Christ who lived in him, that this was the only way he was able to bring the Good News to many people. God through the Holy Spirit, gave Paul the words to speak. Just as in Paul's day, God will use us if we submit to do His work. God's power will enable us to serve Him. Whether it be teaching a Sunday School class, help prepare meals, or go to visit and tell others about Jesus. God will lead us to where we need to go, He will provide the words we are to say. Follow God's Lead Thank You Lord, for enabling and letting us to serve Thank You for so many blessings, that I don't deserve We want to work for You To do the job You need us to Father, to Your will let us commit To Your will I will always submit I want to obey and follow Your lead To do the job where You have need Father, use us to bring glory to Your holy name If I fail You, I have only myself to blame Let me go and walk that extra mile To reach others and make them smile Forgive us where we have failed in the past By not doing Your will, and putting You last |
| Luke 12:35-40 35. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36. And ye yourselves like unto the men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself; and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known the hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. As children of God we must keep watch and keep our light burning bright. We need to share the news of Jesus with others so that they in turn can be ready also. Here is a poem titled Be Ready Be Ready If Jesus came to today would you be ready? Are you keeping watch, are your footsteps steady? Are you keeping oil in your lamp? Has your life got Jesus' approval stamp? Are you keeping watch through out the day? Jesus could come at any moment, He could be on His way Are you ready for the Good Shepherd to return? Keep your light on, for Jesus let it burn Tell others so they can keep watch for the Master Of His return God in Heaven is the only forecaster Like a thief coming in the night Jesus will return even if it is dark or light. |
| Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. We need to walk and talk daily with Jesus. To pray for His guidance in our life, for Him to protect us from Satan's evil influence. We need to pray daily and talk with our Father in heaven. Some days unexpected things happen that take us by surprise. We may get the job promotion that we have been praying for, or be able to pay a bill that was long over due. A family member recovers from a serious illness. Let us always remember to give God the praise and glory for all that He has done for us. To thank Him for all the many blessings that we have been given. To thank our Father in heaven, for all the prayers that He answers so willingly. Thank You Father Dear Father, let me talk to You everyday So that You can guide my steps along the way Father, let me walk daily by Your side In Your arms let me always abide Let me sing praises toYou all of my life To give thanks for You sending Your only Son Jesus Christ Let us thank You for all the many surprises we receive They are blessings from You, that I truly believe Let us give thanks to our Father, for all of our many blessings Telling the world everything we have is from You, I am confessing Father, Thank You, for taking care and keeping watch over our family Father, You have blessed us so greatly, You have bestowed so much love on me |
| Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. I love this verse, we live in darkness until we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Our sins are so dark, until Jesus removes them from our life. It puts me in mind of how the lights in our car blink at various times. After my husband lost his dad and brother, one day I was praying in the car. I prayed Lord if there is something You need me to do please let me know. All of the sudden the lights started flashing, and continued to do so for quiet a few minutes. After that moment the lights flash at various times. When things are so crazy in our life, they blink and shine bright. When we pray for a miracle they blink. They go off in the middle of the night, shining like someone has opened the car door. There is no key in the car and no one is around it. Mechanics can not find a problem, I feel there is no problem. It is God's way of showing us that we are never alone. He is with us no matter what we may face. Back in the winter our heating unit went out and needed replaced. We did not have the money and felt so helpless. We prayed to God for a miracle for Christmas for a new heating unit and God answered that prayer. When I was looking out the window that night the lights begin flashing in the car. It was God's way of telling us that it would all be okay. An hour later a deacon from the church stopped by to let us know that the church was going to put in a new unit at no charge. God answered right away and 10 days before Christmas. Many times God knows the storm clouds in our life are so dark, He uses the lights in the car to shine His love on us. Let us strive to stay in the Light of Jesus Christ. To stray from the darkness and evil that Satan can provide. Let us always seek Jesus in all that we do. He will shine His Light and direct our path. We will never be in darkness if we follow Jesus Christ. The Light of the World The Light of the world Is Jesus Christ my Lord The Light that will forever shine The one who comforts me, when I have to much on my mind He is the Light of the world ,so I will never be in darkness I’m safe from Satan’ sword, and all of it’s sharpness Jesus is the Light that shines, so I can see the path I am to take He is the Light no one can break Jesus is the Light He lights my world, when I am filled with fright The Light of the world is my shield He is the Light around which my life is built He is my Light When I close my eyes to sleep at night He is my Light through all my life, even when I fail Jesus’ light shines in perfect detail He is the Light of the world, His Light shining is not brief His Light is there, whether I’m happy or experiencing grief Jesus is the Light of the world from the bible that is what I’ve been taught And by the Light of the world my freedom from sin has been bought |
| Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. When I think of what Jesus means to me, so many things come to mind. He is our Savior, Redeemer, He is Lord, most of all He is the great I AM. He is our Redeemer, He saved all sinners that accept Him from hell. As we study the bible we come to know more about Jesus, as we grow in Him, our praises for Him increase. Because we learn of what all Jesus has done for us. We acknowledge Him not only as our Savior, but also as Lord. Let us spend time learning more about Jesus everyday. To make a list of things to guide us, and to express our praise and gratitude for all that Jesus has done in our lives. One day when Jesus returns every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Most of all let us sing praise to the One who saved our soul. Jesus Christ Is Lord Jesus, how we love Him so More about Him we want to know Our Savior, He reigns supreme Jesus' love went to the extreme Lord, He is the Great I Am He is God's perfect Lamb Jesus is our best Friend He will be there until the end Jesus is complete true love He was sent by God above Mediator, for all, He pleads our case He helps put Satan in his place Jesus is our Shepherd, He leads us to the fold We are His sheep, He will lead us to the streets of gold Jesus is our Redeemer, He saved us from hell Jesus gives us peace, and all is well |
| James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. Have you ever found yourself responding to a comment someone has made without even thinking? We start speaking our mind, and the words just out of our mouth, without one thought being given to the damage that can be done by them. Let us begin to practice listening to others, to make sure we think before we respond. To be calm and slow to wrath. Not to act and speak in anger. To bite our tongue, when we are about to say something that will hurt others. Let us use our mouth and tongue to praise God, and tell others of Jesus Christ. Not to cause destruction and hurt that can never be repaired. Bite Your Tongue Lord, help us to listen to others, and open our ears Let us shut our mouth, if our words may cause tears Let us think before we speak Your guidance let us always seek Let us be careful of what we do and say We don't want to hurt others in anyway If we are going to say something hurtful, let us bite our tongue We don't want to hurt others, by what we have said or done Let our knowledge in You flourish Controlling of our tongue, You can nourish If we listen to what You are telling us Learning to bite our tongue is a must |
