1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Recently I was watching a special presentation on the news. It was telling of the failing housing market. They reported about 2.4 million families have lost their homes to foreclosure, in the past two years. That number is expected to double in the next few years. Many people are losing their jobs, due to the uncertainties of the economy. Everything being unstable is causing a domino effect. In such times like this, it is great to know one foundation remains strong, Jesus Christ. No matter what we may face, or trials that we go through, Jesus will remain by our side. We must keep the faith that God will carry us through all adversity. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we will win the victory. By keeping God's commandments and believing in Jesus, we can win the victory in any battle. Great faith is the key to getting through any and all situations. Jesus will be with us no matter what obstacles we face in life. God will provide our every need, we must keep the faith and pray believing God will deliver us through all things.

Great Faith

When we become weighed down with worry and strife
Let us go to Jesus in prayer, put Him in charge of our life

When it seems like we are lost in the sea of doubt
Call out to Jesus, give Him a loud humble shout

Through great faith we can win the battle, and declare victory
Only because Jesus Christ died because He loved you and me

When trials and troubles bring us down
Call out to Jesus, He is always around

Keeping the faith, will definitely help win the war
Jesus overcame the world, He lives forever more

In our weakest moments, remember Jesus is strong
No matter what we face, we are never really alone

No matter what our battle, through Jesus we can win
He can do all things, He won the battle over sin

Keep the faith and carry on
Jesus Christ will keep you strong

2 Kings 4:26
Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? and she answered, It is well.

This passage in the bible amazes me. The woman has sent for Elisha because her son is dead. He sends a servant to ask her, is everything well. Even though the woman's son is dead, she states it is well. This is a strong testimony. That no matter what was wrong in her life, the woman trusted God and knew that all was well. Our family has experienced many trying times in the last few months, when I heard our pastor preach on this verse, I had to say it is well. That no matter how much sorrow, grief, trials and problems that we experience all is well. The reason all is well, because God is in control. His will is going to be done, but He will always take care of us. He will place no more on us than we can bear. We also have Jesus Christ as our Anchor in life. He is our Lord and Savior, and has provided our salvation by dying on the cross for our sins. Praise God He arose on the Third Day. By accepting Jesus into our heart and believing He is God's only Son, I can say It is Well. Jesus will carry us through any storm that rages in our life, by the love He shown we will one day see heaven's shores. So I can truly say, through Jesus Christ's love It Is Well. I know that our family will face many obstacles and that Satan will try his best to make us stumble. Through Jesus Christ we will over come everything. We will give all the praise and glory to God, and sing It Is Well With My Soul.

It Is Well

Lord, so much has happened in the last few years
That has filled our eyes with many flowing tears

Many times our mind has been filled with dread
With wondering what we may face that is ahead

Then to You we have turned and prayed and cried
To help us through this storm, to please be our guide

Then sweet relief comes to us from within
Knowing You are with us, on You we can depend

No matter what we may face through out today
I can honestly say It Is Well all of the way

You are the Anchor to which we cling
All is well, because You are our King

You will help us face the problems that arise
All is well, because You dry the tears from our eyes

No matter what problems may appear
Lord, we know that You are always here

Through You any mission we can achieve
Because in You we truly and honestly believe

There is no mountain that You can not move
There is no heartache that You can't soothe

With Jesus by our side, anything we can defeat
All of our fears and sorrow, Jesus can always delete

With Jesus as our Anchor, I can say It Is Well
Because Jesus saved my soul from Satan's hell

Revelation 3:20
Behold,I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Jesus is calling unto us. He wants us to come to Him. He wants us to be saved. Jesus is extending an invitation unto you, if you are lost. He wants you to accept Him. To believe that He died for your sins. He wants to see you enter heaven's gates one day.If someone out there is lost my prayer would be, that you experience the love that Jesus has to give before it is to late. Tomorrow may never come, any of us could die today. So please if you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior, please accept Him today. That is my prayer and greatest wish for anyone who is lost. For them to experience the greatest love of all.

The Invitation

Dear Lord I heard you calling
I kept standing in the pew stalling

I heard you say come to me, you were pleading
Your invitation I heard, and was what I was needing

But still I kept standing, I couldn't get my feet to go down the aisle
I kept on standing and waiting, the invitation ended after awhile

Dear Lord the next service, I heard you call a little louder
Your voice was all I could hear, nothing else mattered

Lord still I couldn't get my feet to move at all
Even though I could still hear your voice call

The invitation ended, I went home
I had never felt so empty and alone

The next service I heard you calling, and saw the tears you wept for me
You gave me the message, this calling was my last chance to be set free

I stood in the pew, I was nervous, my heart was beating fast
I couldn't pass up your invitation, knowing it could be my last

I went to the alter, and you opened your arms
I knew I was safe from satan's harms

I fell to my knees, and begin to cry
I finally realized, why Jesus had to die

To save a sinner like me, but He arose and went to His throne
To knock at my door, so one day I can receive my heavenly home

So if you hear Jesus pleading, and don't answer the call
Remember on Judgment day, He will say I never knew you at all

The Parable of the Mustard Seed

31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, 32 which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

Many times in our lives, our faith becomes so small. So many things can happen at one time and we feel so overwhelmed. We get so distracted by what is going on that we just completely push God out of the way. Then when our conditions continue to worsen then we realize what we have done. We have let our faith die down to the size of the mustard seed that Jesus talked about in the parable. Isn't it great to know that is all that it takes, for God to come in and take us in His arms so we can find refuge in His arms. That by believing that God can make a difference and change things in our lives, He truly will. Many times I have been guilty of casting God aside, but then when I realize what I have done to His arms I run. Just a little seed of faith is all it takes, and then a whole forest can become the end result. It starts out small and God makes it grow.

FAITHFUL SERVANT

Following Jesus is what I intend to do
A faithful servant I want to be and do Your will too
I want to be Your faithful servant
The way You need me to go, I will be observant
Holding onto Your hand
Fulfilling the things of me You command
Until You call me home, a faithful servant I will be
Live by Your word until one day my Jesus I will see
Singing Your praises all the day long
Everyday waiting to go to my new home
Reviewing the bible to study Your word
Vowing to tell others of Your love, in case they haven’t heard
Always try to do what is right
None is more righteous than Jesus He is the Light
To pray always and do, Thy will till I see You in my sight

James 5:13
13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms.

No matter what we may be going through, let us lift our voice to heaven and sing God's praise. If we are happy, let sing songs to God. If we are sad let us sing a song unto our Father in heaven. That we know that He will carry us through every rough mile that we must travel. As Christians let us praise God everyday. Let us praise and bring glory to His holy name in all that we may do during our daily lives. Today, I want to praise God for the beautiful flowers that are created by His touch. To Thank Him for placing beauty for us to admire, and that it brightens our sometimes gloomy day. To Thank Him for the flowers He places in our lives that help us to bloom. Many times God has placed a person in our life for a short time, that has made a huge impact on my life. There are many people He has placed in my life, that we the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I want to Thank God for the people who stand strong for Him, they set a good example that I wish to follow.

Thank You Father, for the flowers that bloom
They bring me comfort, when I feel such doom

They brighten my day, and warm my heart
They bring beauty to help another day start

Thank You, for the flowers of people You place in my life
That bloom and help us deal with so much conflict and strife

Thank You Father, for the most beautiful Rose of all
Your only Son, Jesus Christ that answered all sinner's call

Thank You Father, for Your Flower Jesus Christ that will forever bloom
That He loved us so much, that He is more precious than the finest perfume

Thank You Father, for loving us so much
The flowers in life You add Your loving touch

John 5:24
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into the judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Many times we hear the phrase "leap of faith". It puts me in mind of standing on top of a mountain and looking over. We have to overcome the fear of getting to close to the edge to enjoy the beauty. It is that leap of faith that leads us to be able to make our way to the edge to see the beauty that lies below. Many times people just take it one step at a time when deciding to climb down to see the beauty. They take slow steps because their fear of falling is greater than their faith of making it to the bottom safely. Others just jump right in and take off. That is what we call a leap of faith, when we experience the love of Jesus. If our faith is rooted in Him, we can take that step in one giant leap. We will know the excitement and love of accepting Jesus into our heart. With that leap of faith we will know that He will carry us in His arms daily. That we will have a home in heaven above. Let us not be reserved to accept Jesus, let us take that leap of faith, and with that tell others about Jesus daily. To jump right in there and tell the world of the love that Jesus has given us. That it is extended to all sinners. That Jesus died for everyone, and whosoever shall believe in Him shall have eternal life. It just takes that leap of faith, knowing that Jesus can and will save your soul. Just by us turning to Him when He calls. Just by confessing our sins, and believing He is God's only Son. Let us get busy telling the world that Jesus saves, take the challenge look over the edge and tell others of God's love for us. Tell the lost to just trust and believe in Jesus and take that leap of faith. It is a decision you will never regret. You will find a love like you have never known in Jesus Christ.

Leap Of Faith

Father, let me take that giant leap of faith
Not to judge others, and brush them off in haste

Let me take the leap of faith to tell the lost of Jesus Christ
That He can save their soul and give them eternal life

Daily let us tell the lost of Jesus' love
So they may one day have a home above

Let us take that leap of faith to do Your will each day
To tell the lost about Jesus and His loving ways

Father, let me stand on the mountain and declare Your glory
To shout from the top, about Jesus and His wonderful story

Whisper the words that I need to say to someone who is lost
Let me witness to them no matter what be the cost

Let me never be afraid to tell someone about Your only Son
Let me take the leap of faith, so Your will can be done

Let me walk in Your way no matter what I do
All of my days let me tell the lost about You

John 8:36

36.If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Today, I am thankful for the freedom we have in the United States. That we are free to worship as we please. That we can carry a bible and tells others of Jesus Christ. In many countries people give their life trying to spread the word about Jesus to others. I am also most thankful for the freedom, that we have received because Jesus Christ died for our sins. Through Jesus' blood our sins can be forgiven, by accepting Him into our heart. I am truly thankful that Jesus loved us so much to set us free. When we accept Jesus Christ, we truly do have a new life. He sets us free from the restrains of sin, He becomes our very best Friend. Thank You Jesus, for the freedom we have been given. You paid a very high price to set us free. For Your love and sacrifice I am truly Thankful.

Dear Father, Thank You for the freedom we have today
That we can tells others of Jesus, to Him we can point the way

That we have the freedom to go to church, to worship with others
That we can celebrate and rejoice, when Jesus finds a lost sister or brother

Thank You Father, for sending Jesus Christ to die so that we could be free
Thank You Jesus, for loving us so much, no other love like Yours could ever be

I Thank God for His love, mercy, and grace
Without Jesus this world would be a dark place

Thank You Father, for sending Jesus, He is the Light
That set us free whether it be day or night

1 John 5:14
If we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.

Many times we set plans for our lives, without consulting God in prayer. We start making plans, and leave out the main person who would share them with. We need to let God give us His input on our plans. Let us remember when we start to make plans, to pray to God for guidance. To make sure that it fits into His plans, and will for our lives.

Gods Will

Let us consult God about our daily plans
So He can let us know, where His will stands

Before planning out our entire day
Pray to God and let Him lead the way

Let us include God into our plans to do His will
He will lead our journey, and help us climb the highest hill

If we don't confirm our plans with God
How can we tell which road to trod?

Let God be our guide, so we can do His will
He has many plans for you and me still

Proverbs 14:5, "A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

As I read these lines I think of how many times in my life, that I have been false. When someone asks me a question, and I don't know how to respond, basically telling them what they want to hear. I don't want to be false, I want to tell others about Jesus Christ, so I must remain truthful in all that I say and do. Many times someone has asked my opinion on a matter, and I tell them what I have learn in the bible, then turn around and do just the opposite of what I said we are suppose to do. I have asked God to forgive me for my short coming and sins on this matter, I don't want to be a false witness. I want to be a positive influence, and not lie just because it is easier than telling the truth. In God's eyes a lie is a lie, even if spoken to spare ones feelings. I have thought about times that I have said something, and not even mean to tell a lie. Satan will edge his foot into our lives if we allow him. Just one wrong word to someone on a subject and we have lost our credibility forever. I pray for all of us to be a faithful witness, to speak only the truth no matter what someone may ask. If for some reason the truth would be mean, and hurt the person, I am going to remain silent. Now if it is pertaining to God's holy word, then I will pray for God to give me the words that He would have me to speak. From this moment on I am going to examine every word that I intend to speak, before it is spoken. To make sure that it is the absolute truth. I want to live my life according to God's will, I don't want to make someone stumble along the way. In other words I am going to strive to practice what I preach. I know at times when I have messed up, it shows that I am human. Many times it was unintentional, but many times could have been prevented if I examined myself honestly. Keep me in your prayers that I will let God lead. I know I will stumble, but I pray to be a true faithful witness, not a false witness and tell others lies. I want to be true to God, and a faithful one at that. With God's loving hand, I will watch what I say and do, and my actions will show it also.

Father, forgive me for being a false witness and telling lies
Father, help me to do Your will and not hide in disguise

Forgive me Father, when I fail to practice what I preach
If I don't follow all Your ways, then how can I teach

By example others see how I truly live my life
Let me follow the example of Your Son Jesus Christ

Father, forgive me for being a false witness at times and fake
Father, search my heart and a lot of changes Father please make

Father, forgive me for doing and saying things that are wrong
Forgive me Father, and make a change in my heart that is strong

Forgive me Father, for doing You wrong, I know I hurt You
Forgive me Father, and show me the things I really need to do

Luke 24:6
He is not here, but is risen: remember how He spake unto you when He was yet in Galilee.

I see the Dogwoods blooming, the Bradford Pears are in full bloom, everything is coming back to life. I think of Easter as a time of remembering that Jesus arose from the grave, that He still lives today. Let us not forget how Mary and Jesus' disciples must have felt when they found the tomb empty. They felt such sadness, then the angels reminded them of what Jesus had told them. That He would Rise from the grave on the Third Day. As we celebrate Easter let us focus on God's love for us. That He sacrificed His only begotten Son, so that all sinners could be saved. Let us never forget that Jesus is Risen and He lives today. Let us tell the lost of the love that Jesus showed toward all sinners. He gave His life on Calvary, so that you and I could go free. Just like the season of Spring Jesus lives, bringing new life to all sinners who will believe and accept Him.

Father, thank You for letting all sinners proclaim
That we have been saved by Your Son's holy name

Let us not forget that Jesus lives today
Let us walk by His example every day

He is not in the lonely grave
He lives and has come to save

Lost souls He comes to seek
When our lives seem so bleak

He will take our hand when we draw our last breath
He will meet us when we cross over Jordan into death

Through Jesus we can have eternal life
First we must accept and believe in Jesus Christ

One day with Jesus we will sit and dine
He is the Light that will forever shine

So remember Jesus lives today
Tell everyone in all you do and say
