Devotional Poetry

My Search

I

Into the mystic realm,
I let my mind take flight,
Over stone strewn highways,
I search the endless night.

I was the Wanderer,
Looking for a goal,
And the Seeker,
Searching for my soul.

I walked the roads of idle fancy,
Paths of material delight,
Stumbling over stones of vain imaginings,
In my search for the light.

A voice deep within me cried:
"Here doesn't lay your goal,
Upon these darkened pathways,
You'll never find your sou."

II

Into the mystic realm,
Again my mind took flight,
Over well traveled highways,
I search the misty twilight.

I was a Seeer,
Seeking an unknown goal,
And a Stranger,
To my own soul.

In this realm of half-light,
I strolled the roads of tradition,
Picking my way carefully,
Through the shadows of superstition.

Still from within came the cry:
"Not in this realm is your goal,
Upon these half-lit pathways,
You'll never find your soul"

III

Into the mystic realm,
Again I took flight,
And walked the paths,
Where God has shed His light.

I walked the hallowed highways,
Trod by the Prophets of old,
Strolled the ancient paths,
Strewn with nuggets of pure gold.

This is the wondrous realm,
Where all paths become one,
This is the glorious land,
Illuminated by God's sun.

Through the Word of God,
I have found my soul,
In the Messenger for this age,
I have found my goal.

Communion With God and Universal Prayer
January 14, 2019 at 4:36pm
Communion With God When conversing with Divinity: The name by which we address God doesn't matter, Vital is the spirit in which we utter the prayer. Great Spirit, Guide us today; Direct our steps To Thy ancient way! Deliverance comes through Obedience to the Unknowable Creator. O though Almighty Creator, Make firm our steps In Thy Covenant! Prayer Has deep meaning To all the Children of God; It is the switch turning on; An expression of love for the Creator. H... [Read more]

Body and Soul
January 11, 2019 at 11:27pm
Body and Soul Inexorable I stand split between extremes. Ego obstinately attached to the physical plain. Spirit unalterably attracted to Divinity. Inexorable I stand split between extremes. Consultation: Two Poems
January 13, 2019 at 11:05pm
Consultation: Poem One Consultation is a light! Is it more than a clash of ideas? A means of discovering what is right. Light of God's new age. Consultation guides the way to truth! Guides the path through the clash of wills. The torch that illumines the night of fear; the Way to solve the planet's ills. To God's followers it is a light. Truth emerges from the clash of wills. Consultation is the source of good and well being! Is it a buffer in the clash of force?... [Read more]

God: The Unknowable Creator
January 10, 2019 at 10:15pm
God: The Unknowable Creator 1 There is a timeless quality about life-- about living-- which extends beyond what I know, and what I feel. It extends into an unknown realm; existing between illusion and reality, between dreaming and waking, between death and life. There is more to life than anything I have experienced, anything I have imagined. It is not that I am missing something, rather something exist which I cannot grasp, and cannot comprehend. This something I... [Read more]
Christ Returned
January 10, 2019 at 7:03pm
Christ Returned I listen carefully to the words I read, Repeating them over in my mind, I try to comprehend the essence of His verses. I stand Alone upon the shore of God's Ocean, Watching the waves roll in, Listening to their roar. Written in the latter part of the nineteenth century, Baha'u'llah's words Are the blue print of God's new world order, The only hope for a world gone mad. I walk Along the water's edge, As gentle waves wash my bare fee... [Read more]

To A Dying World The world our parents knew is dead, The one we know is dying. Listen to the camel's call, And the lion's roar Telling us: "The time has come for man to sleep no more!" The desert winds are blowing, Its sands are whispering a song, The a world gone wrorng. You say: "The world is better!" But the tides of hate still flow. We must turn the tide of hate, Balance the scales of justice, And free the dove of peace. {dropnote:"Po... [Read more]

The Soul's Riddle

The Soul's Riddle I was created, Believing in mankind's spirituality! This is a creature, with unique abilities. A larva upon the material plane; At death become a butterfly freed from its pupa case. I stepped out of eternity, Born into physical reality! I became a creature blind to its own spirituality, The larva newly hatched from the egg, Sees the pupa as the end--not a developmental stage.
