It was a beautiful morning as the sun shined it's rays across the lands surrounding Santalune city. Serena and her pokemon Fennekin were currently enjoying breakfast on the pokemon center's veranda after spending the night at said center.
"So nice." Serena said after sipping her tea. "No early morning Rhyhorn racing practice for me and no Fletchling waking her up, such a relaxing way to start the day." Serena stretched Fennekin took notice of and imitated her trainer's action which resulted in her falling backwards some, the blonde girl chuckling from the fox pokemon's silliness.
"Fennekin did you get enough?" asked Serena. "Fennekin." the fox pokemon said, confirming that she's full from their breakfast. "I did too." Serena said confirming that she's full as well.
"Ok." Serena continued as she picked up her backpack, she went to the door to thank Nurse Joy for the lodging and breakfast. "Let's go." The trainer said as she swung her backpack on while Fennekin hopped on her back as well.
"Santalune city is really close, just a little bit further and I can finally get to see him!" Serena said as she and Fennekin continue towards Santalune city to try and find her old friend Ash ketchem.
The trainer and her pokemon first had to pass a small through a small forest that rested on the outskirts of the city which would be an easy task for them, however, unbeknownst to Serena and Fennekin something rested within the confines of the forest, something that will change the course of their journey and their lives.
As they were making their way through the forest Fennekin spotted something lying in the grass. "Fennekin." the fox pokemon said as she lept from her trainer's back to investigate. "Fennekin?" Serena said as she watched her pokemon stare at something on the ground. "What is it, did you find something?" She went over to where Fennekin was, then after picking the pokemon back up in her arms Serena looked down to see what Fennekin was looking at.
