It took them months to come, but came they did. The first sign of the change was a pop-up indicating the Quest had Failed.
For a brief moment you hide yourself in the backroom in panic. Thinking Raven had betrayed you. However...
For the first time, you are greeted by familiar faces of Players. Dressed in high tier equipment you couldn't have dreamed of acquiring.
As Raven said, they came with the intent of restocking on potions, and at least a few of them seem on good terms with the bird.
You can't help but wonder, if your friends survived. If they did you do not see them over the course of the day, as more and more flock to Raven's shop.
Eventually, you find yourself staring into the Sapphire eyes of a anthromorphic lion, clad in mithril full plate encrusted with Sapphire stones. His name is Leon, a member of some alliance named BarStoolWarmers.
Apparently, these were the "good guys", by which Raven meant they didn't actively partake in the trade of other players hide. On the contrary, they had clashed with their rival alliance Maleficent just a couple days ago, freeing half a dozen players in the process.
The Paladin, is accompanied by a human Artificer, a exceedingly rare class that was comparable to Raven's own alchemy. And a small female Sparrow ranger.
"Huh, so Raven took you under his wing? It's unlike him to give you shelter for nothing."
"Yes, well I can't say it was for free." You say, motioning around the shop.
"Ah, well hopefully your new skills will serve you well." He says handing over a bag of coin. "Added something a little extra."
You look at Leon suspiciously, watching him leave. "Until next time. Hopefully under better circumstances."
You wave and sigh, closing the shop for the night. Raven left hours before, being invited to a celebration. Although, given the potions he took with him a d the clothes he wore, you half expect someone will be succumbing to one of his games, or a half dozen eggs.
And frankly, you can't say you didn't enjoy them. Learning of others misfortune was an escape from your own burdens, and the deprived acts of beast and player was much less shocking after serving the mounts for months.
You open the coin pouch counting 250 gold pieces. 50 more than the full sum, pocketing them you find a note.

You consider it for a moment, if Raven could have some leisurely activities. Why couldn't you? Maybe this was a business proposal,or a guild invitation?
You knew the Guilds were always in need of alchemists, even low level ones.
