Chapter #7

a young beautiful Germanian woman

    by: Sung'manitu Author IconMail Icon
The word "statuesque" was invented for women such as the one leaning over the desk in front of you. She had the broad yet feminine shoulders, large breasts and long, pale braided hair one expects of women from Germania.

You notice the woman has two open tomes in front of her, one in Latin and the other in Greek. "They're going to get upset at you for bringing Latin books to the Greek side."

The German woman made a note on the large paper she had to one side before she answered, "Then they need to come up with a better way to organize this library other than just dividing things by the language they were written in." The German woman looked up at you and smiled. "It's good to see you Delecta."

"And you as well, Brüstilla," you answer. The much, much larger German woman (standing more than six pedes/almost six feet tall) stood up and embraced you, crushing your head to her impressive bosom. You're happy when the hug ends so you can catch your breath.

"So what has you mixing books?" you ask with a slight smile.

"Do you know what a aeolipile is?" Brüstilla asks. When you shake your head in the negative, she explains, "It's a ball suspended over steaming water, with the steam used to turn the ball. Both Heron and Vitrivius have written interesting descriptions on the device. It's given me some ideas."

You shake your head in wonder. If Brüstilla had been born a man, she'd be designing war machines for the Empire right now. Instead, she was allowed to spend her time in the Library studying and designing by an indulgent father. There were a few, such as yourself, who availed themselves of Brüstilla's unrecognized genius from time to time.

Such as now, for instance.

"I have a little project coming up that I might need your help with," you tell Brüstilla. "Will you be available?"

Brüstilla answers

You have the following choices:

1. Of course! But does it have to be right now?

2. Absolutely! When do we start?
