Professor Leigh has a way that keeps everyone interested and involved in the class, both nonhuman and human. That was another surprise. You were expecting this to be a course took strictly by nonhumans. You assumed all the human students would know their own history, and instead focus on other subjects.
As it turned out, some humans took the course because they did think they knew it all, and thus the course would be an “Easy A.” Professor Leigh quickly disabused them of the erroneous preconception. In a few weeks, the only humans who were left in the class were the humans fascinated by the new perspective Professor Leigh gave them on their own history.
