Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee! The Church was established in the joy of God's promises made to the Great Father of the Nation of Israel, Abraham. O yes. Consider where Abraham took his son, and the intervention God made on behalf of a Nation that had yet to be realized. Genesis 22:9 - 14 When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” From that point in history, centuries of mankind living and dying, up to this very moment in time, there has been a war for the souls of man. Man, corrupted by sin and condemned to die an eternal death for that sin could find no relief despite religious fervor to relieve themselves of the toxicity of iniquity. God Himself, as Abraham declared, is the One to provide the relief. He gave His own Son, even as the Ram in the Thicket, to take the sins of the world upon Himself, and offer an eternal home with Him, free from the toxic affects of sin's paralyzing corruption. For those who believe, those that have taken Jesus' free gift of salvation, now is the time of Joy! Joy! Joy! For everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord Jesus will be saved. Not just in this season of Joy and Light, but in every season in which God lays out before us all of nature that continually proclaims His Wonders and His Love! Joy! Joy! | The promise was pronounced weeks ago it seems. And to the forecaster's credit there were a few drops every other day or so. Some sun, then clouds, a promise, drops on the tin part of the upper chimney. Oh, then it, sweet water, glorious rain, slipped across my waking dreams...waking my imagination, my delight. Rain! Straight down it...wasn't blowing from the north or the south. No lightning or thunder. But thick, gorgeous drops of sky water, falling hard, steady. The earth slurped at the juice, too thirsty to care that the clouds were laughing, mocking at how greedy it's vegetation seemed, glad to be once more, glad to have roots and half dead shoots. Even the dormant bushes and trees, sleeping in the upright way God intended, were stirred in their earth bed for a moment, surprised to feel trickles of water filter down through the rock where their napping fibers shivered. Feel the earth fill up with the heavenly brooks. From the citadel where I do my work and pray, I hear the promise of children dancing to the bouncing rhythm; in the tender, loving drumming of water gorged spores. Hear songs celebrating springs alive once more, crawling across the draught scourged landscape; "Give us a tune, mighty rain storm and we will dance in the new strains of music you create." The Church, the body of Christ, that lives by the teachings of Jesus, the Son of God, stands stronger today than ever before. Even when the teachings of Jesus is rejected, scorned, and scoffed at by former believers; and even when thousands of false "evangelical" teachers arise. The One True Church of an awesome in power God, shines as a great beacon of hope and mercy for those who suffer in loneliness, hopelessness and despair. Never be ashamed of the Gospel. For it is the hope of salvation to a lost and dying world. To the Church this awesome reminder from James 5:7-11 Patience in Suffering 7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 9 Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. 10 As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. Because they where zealous believers in the Lord Jesus Christ as the messiah, Son of God, Son of man, they invoked the name of the Most High Sovereign God. They made a covenant between themselves and the God they served. They, by their very written words, proclaimed that they were on a mission for the glory of God; and despite a thousand different hardships, they founded a sovereign state that to this day, prevails against all efforts to dismantle it. The core of their beliefs was written into the constitution of every one of the 13 colonies, and remains in many of the state charters to this day.  The call to worship the LORD is written as a strong admonition to all the nations. No nation is left out. Even the ground, rocks, mountains, valleys and everything that is in them are to arise and give glory to God. Every nook and cranny where life is founded and sustained must be judged and the God of wholeness, righteousness and goodness is coming to judge everything. PSALM 97: 9-10Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth! Say among the nations, “the LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.” PSALM 97:12-13Let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for He comes, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness. My heart will be glad to speak His word, sing His word and praise the Master of every word that has been spoken. There are words in the books of heaven attributed to the mouths of men from the time of Adam through the last few moments gone by here on this earth. You, O Lord, are the judge of every one of those words whether they were meant to bring life or meant to bring death. You, God and King, are judge of every word, whether they were meant to harm or heal. You judge every word that condemns the godless, lawless man and the words that bring redemption from all iniquity. In the midst of the swirling guttural utterances of every tribe, nation and tongue, You live and have Your being. You alone are the ultimate judge of what the words actually meant as they speak from the heart and as they are recorded in the courts of heaven. If there is any light to be written, let me write it now. May the words be formed from the heart repentant of errant thoughts, words and actions, filled with mercy and grace. Every day is a blessing for it is made to draw me nearer the One who formed me. When I am not myself I am over committed to bitter little trifles that no longer mean anything. When I come to my senses I petition the Lord, through Jesus the one true savior, for forgiveness of every hastily conceived thought or word. May the evil words spent on empty air be deconstructed one letter at a time that they may fall meaningless to the ground. What is true is that God is loving, caring and kind and is the author of peace. His words to me are always peace. If a man claims to know peace and want peace, it is not a thought of his own, but that of God. God's thoughts are always for peace, and when the wonder of peace is more than a thought in the heart of a man but an arrangement of words that persuades one of His own to come into the Kingdom of God, then that is persuasion for which no man can take credit. Yesterday, at the close of my first class of 8 and 9 year old Bible students, Grace K. came to me to chat. She is not a shy child, or a self absorbed child. She is not even a timid child. Yet she was always distant with me. For nine class meetings I sensed she was an afraid child. She was especially afraid of me. I respect this discernment. As I prayed for her, my heart was growing more and more tender for her. I love the children God has giving me to teach. They are so tender hearted and beautiful. And some, like Grace, are warry of the stranger with too many years on earth, and too jolly an appearance to be real. An advantage and sometimes a danger of being of a certain age, is one can use the grandfatherly appearance to disarm even the most cautious of children. I am blessed when I know that parents have put a measure of fear in their children for adults they do not know. This is an incredibly dangerous world. This week I wrote a simple reader theatre play about cultivating the fruit of the Spirit: gentleness. Jacquie and I used a stuffed penguin and a stuffed polar bear as props in the play and this stirred something in Grace. It was the opening Grace needed to come and talk to me about her life. She shared about her likes and dislikes about things I can't remember now, but then we got into Christmas and the joy she is having decorating her room and helping with the decorations her parents are putting together. She, like most of my students is from a whole family. Certainly not free of the testing and trials of life, but they are a loving unit of hope and charity that faces the days ahead with courage and godly activism. In a sense, and may my words be kind as I write this, they are refugees from a school system that no longer supports their values. Even here in southwestern Missouri, a bit of left over country once known as the Bible Belt, the school libraries are filled with pornography. Every child on my block has been exposed to some kind of sexual "education" within the public school system. Either from course work or peers. When those who feel it is inappropriate for a seven year old to read "x" rated graphic novels they are told to shut up. When fathers take on the school board about curriculum that focuses on brain washing as well as reading, writing and math, they are, right here in Missouri, considered to be "terrorists." May my words be a bit harsher now. The parents of my generation were pretty ignorant when it came to the sexual revolution. They knew it was happening but they didn't investigate where the well spring of it was located. They searched a bit discovering a few sex offenders. Then they yawned, rolled over and went back to sleep while the youth of America cast off all restraint and went naked into the woods. Actually my parents thought it was funny as they drove off to their next square dance. So now may the school system that has become the religion of America be shunned. It will only marginally change and they have already polluted the pond of young learners. And as I recall, the young learners become the degenerate teacher of their peers out on the play ground or on the bus ride home. If I had young children right now I would not subject any of them to what is being taught in the public school systems of America. My neighbor across the street gave me graphic illustrations of what his 17 year old, 11 year old and 7 year old were subjected to in their classes and I can't write the words he told me or describe what he showed me in this post without putting an "x" rating on this article. I'm a seasoned veteran of some of the most disgusting stuff males can concoct and what he told me made me physically ill. In contrast, the children like Grace run free from all the gory stuff of the unfettered lusts of the outside world. Grace is a child first and always, and her innocence is hallowed and sacred guarded by warriors of the faith. By guarded I mean spiritually, Angels at the door of our facility, and physically, armed watchers over the facility and the surroundings. Has any school administrator learned anything from Sandy Hook? No. Ask the mourners in Uvalde. Grace, within the wisdom of her family, has been taught to be cautious of all adults, even in her "safe world." I am weeping right now, because in this day, in this time and season in America the trust of a child is worth a million pounds of gold. It is a sacred trust. And today Grace has placed in me a trust to be more than her teacher. I am her trusted friend and by the mercy of God her advocate in the courts of heaven. I hold this trust with great reverence, love and tenderness, because it could have only been awarded to me by God the Father. I receive this trust gratefully and pray that my study, worship, prayer and mediation each day will continue to help me be worthy of what the Father has entrusted to me. Psalm 89 I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations. The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours; the world and all that is in it, You have founded them. Of old You spoke in a vision to Your godly one, and said: “I have granted help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people...” “I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of heavens...” As I consider my ways today before the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, I am reminded of the words I may say with my mouth for the generations following behind me, of which there are five. I may say that the love of God is steadfast and that through His love He made a covenant that He will never break. Our generations, we five, will see the glory of the LORD manifested in earth as it is in heaven. God’s Church shall be a part of the New Nation, and Worship at the One True throne will be perpetual, with no flaws or avarice. So, I will begin my praise and worship today, and speak of the steadfast love of God in the presence of His enemies. To come into the courts of God, in His presence is wisdom forever more. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who imparts to everyone who seeks Him, His wisdom. To Wisdom, In Proverbs 8 it is said: (verses 8, 22, 23, 35) Hear, for I will speak noble things, and from my lips will come what is right, All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them. “The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His work, the first of His acts of old. Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth...” “...for whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD.” Wisdom has been present from before everything was created. At conception of everything there was the great joy of realization that anything and everything could be created for His pleasure. For those who find the same joy of cohabitation with wisdom there is the favor of the LORD forever. With Your Help O LORD, I will pursue wisdom and rejoice always in what the You impart to me from her. Thank You.   I pray O Lord, God of Heaven and Earth, for Your holy city Jerusalem. Psalm 87 we sing, Your City of Zion is upon the Holy Mount. You have brought soul after soul into the valleys of Israel and shepherding them like a loving father. You nurtured and taught and imparted to their spirit everything they asked for. And when they forgot You, You had mercy and left off what was happening in other places to assure they would turn again to Your will and Your purposes. You are a Good Good Father, and there is none like You in all the world. Bless the nation of Israel once more as they navigate the world of the Revived Church, who Love You, love Your Book, Love Your Son, Love Your Kingdom, Love Your Nation and Love Your City of Beauty and Life. Please defend Your city from the divisive men who want to rip Your city into two pieces. One for the Lamb, one for the Mosque. One for the Redeemer, one for the Ishmael. Let it not be so in the earth’s life time; no division for “Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you!” Thank You for raising up nations to say no to the woodsmen who would split Your Holy Mound with an ax of self righteous peace making. They are warmongers who want war, demand war and do not sleep until the blood of youth is mixed into the soil of sand and clay. You O Lord rise strong over the “United Nations” who love dictators, party leaders and socialists, and work to dissolve borders and the self rule of those who stand for You! Have mercy on the enemies of Israel, but shut their mouths! Close up the gaping canyon below the noses of their granite faces. Bring confusion of the hour and the minute of the day where the digits on their devises are in disarray and they can’t tell the time or the seasons. Give them a sense that their brother cares, but their minds can no longer discern who their brother is. They already dwell in darkness. Would Your holy light cause them extreme confusion? Bless them with Your Holy Light O Lord that they may see clearly the internal workings of their blood thirsty partners. You O Lord Love the Gates of Zion more than the dwelling places of Jacob. How much more do You love those who dwell in Jerusalem, the City of David. Give grace to all of Jerusalem’s inhabitants and make Your City, Israel’s delight. Make Your City the center of commerce for the whole world. Establish her wealth, power, and authority over all of her neighbors that if they do not have her favor, they are swept away with the storms from the desert. Today, May the true Church rise with Your promised prosperity that we, Your children would have the resources to help those losing their homes to foreclosure and past due rents. As the economy sucks their bank accounts dry may the Church have Your Kingdom Economy in place to relieve the suffering of no heat, no food, and no bed this winter. May the missions that are already filled with the homeless be franchised in every city to accommodate the thousands yet to be delivered into the streets with only a shopping cart of possessions left. Fund the welfare system of every Church to take in the broken hearted from the storms of winter. May the heart of Jesus be in every Elder, every Deacon and every family that names the name of Jesus. May our bank accounts overflow with the generosity You provoke in the 1% to give of their millions to save their lost countrymen, their distant kin. Open up new industry with higher wages for the uneducated and under served of my nation. Deliver every hungry soul from the evil of poverty and the depression of want. Meet the needs of my nation’s children whose fathers and mothers have departed mentally or physically. Deliver them from the hands of the abusers and the users. For the mothers who cherish what You have put in their wombs, may they have the fortitude and resources to raise their children in health and prosperity and where there is any lack may the churches and cities and counties of this land give all that is needed to honor the choice for life. Thank You Father for being a Loving God who desires none to perish. You alone are the author of life and You alone can stem the tide of irrational shedding of innocent blood. Our Supreme Rulers have spoken. Governors have responded. May the fortunes of those Governors who defy the new rulings from the Supreme Court on abortion be swept away into the hands of those who will sponsor unwanted children into loving homes. May the process of adoption be taken out of the hands of greedy lawyers and judges and put into the hands of agencies that can expedite at low cost the adoption of a parentless child. May every new born child be a wanted child. A loved child. May every newly formed child in the womb today be a wanted child. A cherished child. May there be no more birthed child under the skies of America until the value of the unwanted child raises to astronomical monetary value and every last baby is spoken for. Habitations past the womb for every infant is what I desire. Break the curse of abortion off of this nation forever Lord. I pray all of these prayers in the name of Jesus’ and to Your Honor, Glory and Praise! Amen. Tuesday, April 14, 2020 10:26 a.m. PDST My love is a Proverbs 31 woman. She is of noble character. She extends her understanding of life-giving boundaries set by God to everyone she knows. With words loving and kind she measures the distance carefully from one border to the next. We live safely within those borders she has explored. She explains to me the deep mysteries of our elders, the ones who have walked circumspectly before the Lord. They are the ones who have born the burdens of living for the sake of the Church decades beyond our own commitments to Christ. Their words are gathered in my love’s box of jewels until we together sipping coffee on the sun drenched patio examine each and every one. Proverbs 31:14 “She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.” Yes, this is exactly she, the one who tends our gardens, decorates our home and shields our children. The food from afar is the living Word of God.
