This --- n whispered confessions under moonlit skies,
She bared her scars, her soul laid bare,
He penned her tales with tear-stained eyes,
Their love a fragile, forbidden affair.

An encapsulation of love and just a tiny part of a very finely crafted poem!

Oh my gosh!!! So, so, SO good!!!

THis:
Game pieces sliding on concrete tables,
re-cementing checkered lives
with silver-white tactics,
cantankerous grins,
and hierarchy's strategy.

Brilliant on numerous levels! Well done!!!

There is much truth entangled within the poem. I especially liked this verse:

In the tapestry of love, threads of pain,
A complex weave, a soul's refrain.
Yet within the agony, a beauty lies,
A love that endures, though tears fill eyes.
