I don't like using a template. I don't like correcting spelling. I don't like correcting grammar. I don't want to be your editor. I enjoy discussing what I have read. I am very happy to tell people what I have liked and what I have disliked. There is not a lot that I dislike.

Review of Screen

I love it! The only thing I would criticize - and it isn't really a criticism - I would prefer that it just be written in stream of consciousness form rather than like a poem.

Very well written. I can see it the introduction to a story, or biography. Excellent! But I thought I was going to find out why you were a Grumpy Monkey.

I agree wholeheartedly. What do you suggest? What would you like me to write?

Interesting. I like it a lot. Trying to catch up on things. Getting back to life - certainly not going to get lost, and I am a good swimmer so I wont drown, and I certainly wont DIE!

Review of out to sea

Very nice Fraz - I'm glad I finally got to it. I love historical fiction and read much. James A. Michener is one of my favorite authors. Your story is excellent in its own way. I don't see any problems with spelling grammar or word usage or anything like that. It would make a great educational story for young readers.

Review of A New Dream

Very good Froth. Welcome to WDC! I think there were a few word usage problems but I don't pay attention to those - nothing interupted my enjoyment of your story, Your story-telling is great, and I could really see what you were describing. I didn't see the ending coming - I cheered! Great job!

Review of Tall Man

Nice poem Candy. If you think about it a little more I think you can put more emotion into it. It is nice the way it is, but you could continue it and allow your readers to see how your dreams turn out. Is it truly real or a continuing dream that someday becomes real, or a dream that is never resolved?

Review of Your Nightbird

Very nice Raven. I see Poe in your writing. The Raven is still quoting. I wouldn't call it a monologue. I would call it a poem. But I never did know the difference between a story and a poem. I know I do like this. I am getting tired of everything being about vampires. This is nice because it just hints at the vampire in all of us. God job.

Sounds beautiful. I have lived in many places. From the Caribbean to Alaska. Your description reminds me of Dominica.

Review of The Need
Review by Geoff
Rated: E | (4.0)
I have been searching my whole life. The need to know is universal, but many people don't bother to ask. The only way I have been able to become happy is to realize that their are no answers. Or there is one answer 'Because'. Things can only be the way they are. Perfection is what is. Why look for anything that is not?

Review of Choices
Review by Geoff
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
Very nice Cheri. Poignant. I like the short appropriate title. I am big on the problem of choosing. You show very well what can happen when our choices come out different than we hope. It is nice that you show the possibility of redemption. You can say a lot in few words. Very nicely done.

Very interesting. It sort of reminds me of A Zen Koan. I like it very much. I enjoy poetry a lot more when it forces me to think.

I don't know how I missed this one. It may explain some of the angst in your poetry. Your story telling isn't bad but I don't think it is quite as good as your poetry. Your poetry shows much more emotion, but I think if you tried you could probably get a lot more emotion into your prose. You really are a very talented lady you know.

Hi Ann, hope you are well - Great article. You are so right my brain is definitely aging, and yes I often forget that it is aging, ha ha, that's part of the aging isn't it? I try to do most of what you suggest. I agree that lifelong learning is the most important thing. I have spent my whole life learning. I graduated from Medical School when I was 52.
Keep learning and writing, Ann

I asked to join previously but I haven't found the time to get involved, and I'm not sure when I will find the time. So for now please remove me from the members list. I will be ordering more showers because I think this is a great idea. I am also including a donation to go towards showers for anyone who might need them. I don't mean I have noticed anyone who is especially stinky, just anyone who needs some reviews. *Laugh*

You're amazing. You obviously have so much emotion bottled up inside you it probably feels good to let it out through your poetry. Keep writing - you're great!

Review of The Herald

Thanks for letting me read. I love all kinds of weather, and I believe all weather can be felt in contradictory ways. Our emotions at the time of the experiencing of the atmospheric conditions can greatly color the storm. I see the dark driving rain, and somber grey and black in your poem, but it is nice to know that in the distance there may be bright flashes of lightening, giving snapshots of the beauty of nature. Beautiful poem Angel. I like it a lot.

Very Good! I don't see anything to criticize, and I like that - I dislike saying anything negative. Your story was believable from the first words, you are very good at drawing your reader into your reality. Now all I can ask is that you continue with the story. I MUST know what happens! Welcome to WDC!

Sweet and true. I also see some meaning in the third genre. I don't know if that was intended.

Beautiful! I love historical fiction and you put a huge amount of history into 100 words. I certainly can't criticize this in anyway - it is perfect the way it is. It makes me feel the grandfathers sorrow. It seems he is torn between his granddaughter knowing the truth of the past and not disrupting her idyllic present.. Wonderful Ikiya!

Whew. I'm shaking. I don't know what to say. You truly know how to express your emotions. I can literally feel them viscerally. I just hope the character in the poem finds their way out of the darkness. You are so so talented V. I would love to see a short story.
