Just to be clear, neither the Bureau of Giant Affairs nor the NGO you volunteer for, The Goliath Project, think you’re going out to meet a Raptha alone. The Bureau thinks you’re heading out with another Goliath Project worker, this one a retired Bureau agent. The Goliath Project thinks you’re going out with an experienced Bureau Agent.

You’re not sure how this misunderstanding arose. Truthfully, you’d rather not be alone during your first encounter with a Raptha. But you’re afraid that if you tell someone about this snafu, they’ll cancel your encounter all together. So you keep your mouth shut.
