I have Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorder and I am not homeless. I maintain a wonderful home. I use to be a paramedic but am retired due to getting injured on the job.

I really liked your article. It reminded me of my father. My father has unreal expectations of me. He is really hard on me. He is always demanding and wants me to do things his way. I am 45 now. He does not realize that I am an adult now and he has to stop being so unrealistic. I had a typical argument with him this morning. He despises the fact I smoke (I only smoke 5 cigarettes a day). I despise the fact that he drinks. I explain that we all have our vices and my vice is smoking. When I am overly stressed out that cigarette really helps me remove myself from the situation and think. Well our argument turned into me telling him not to talk to me for a while. I am sorry to dump all this on you. :) Thank you for posting your article. Keep up the good work.
