The North pole now lays desolate,
The elves, now free, share their regret...this poem has a dark and kind of eerie twist to Christmas, and for Santa himself. Christmas forever frozen in time, and gifts become antique.. makes me wonder what happened, and keeps me guessing. Nice work. Drew me in from the first line, actually from the title. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
"the gentle, creaking sway of the
porch swing sneaks movement
into a still life".. my favorite verse. Brings back memories for me. Beautifully written. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
From ancient time to modern,
"The struggle continues.
Man wants to subdue Nature
But won’t control his own".. this is my favorite verse, and it is so true. Nice job. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
Jesus is always the answer, and you're right, He's always with us. I'm happy that you came to the realization of your talent and abilities. But most importantly, I'm glad that found Jesus to be real indeed. Sometimes, it's hard for us to accept things we can't see ourselves, even if it's obvious, or a million people notice before we do. But that's the beauty in discovering who we are, and what we're capable of. Of course, no one wants to fail, but in the end, those mistakes is what can help make us. We learn from our mistakes, and we grow. I did enjoy what I read. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I really did enjoy your poem. Liked your perspective, and your choice of words, and how you put them together so effortlessly. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I like how she tried to hide, but in the end, I believe Ricky knew the whole time.. yet, it didn't seem to make any difference to him. But I bet she was surprised to see him sitting there. Good story. Kind of reminds me of high school. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I'm definitely not a big fan of winter, I know too well what winter's wrath is all about.. plus, I'm just a cold natured person. But you drew me in from the first couple of lines. Nice work. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I work with people who have Alzheimers, and it is extremely hard to watch them go through these changes. I lost my grandma to the disease, but I can't even imagine having to see my own mother face that demon. I know it's not easy, and I'm praying. But do think this was beautifully illustrated, and well-written. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I always liked the story of Levi, in fact, my youngest son's name is Levi. How even the hardest of hearts could be changed, with only two spoken words " follow me". I enjoyed my read. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
I too lost my dad. It's been twenty something years since he passed, but I still miss him so. Your poem was very touching, and I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
As I was reading, I kind of got " a haunted mansion" type of vibe, like it could've been a movie. I like the idea. Good poem. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
" honest crusaders in the path of duty are destined to win" is my favorite verse. You definitely have a way with words. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
Sometimes we do have to choose a new path, and it's definitely a good idea to let God lead the way. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
True, and well-spoken. Very beautifully written. I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you for sharing God's word, and for letting His light shine through you in a world so dark. God bless you.
