I love how you begin each line of each stanza with the same letter and yet nothing seems forced. An absolutely awesome piece with wonderful descriptions and imagery. I adore monarch butterflies and plant as many flowers and plants to attract them and any other kind of butterfly that will come my way.I love all the nature references in this writing and can relate to most of them. An excellent poem laced with truth and humor. I absolutely loved ......But will snare unwary chaps. The thing that amazes me the most about spiders is the wide variety and sizes I see form time to time. I work outdoors and saw a gray spider last year the size of a baseball(the body the size of a quarter) walking across a lawn. I also saw a yellow spider hanging upside down mimicking a potentilla flower and waiting for its prey. Thanks for sharing you have great talent and a lot to share. Magoo

This was quite fascinating, I never thought of this comparison. It does give me some insight into the mind of women. I imagine you have received quite the gamut of opinions judging by the number of reviews. I absolutely loved the read. I imagine someone must have pointed out in the tenth paragraph that you omitted the word 'the' a couple of times......'There is much truth to 'the' adage'...and.....in 'the' case of a small minority'. This is truly written with a great deal of thought and honor. I did not vote him , but I will pray for him and our country. Your excitement is wonderful and your passion is envious. I want to thank you for not decimating George Bush, I was disgusted seeing a balloon image of him with a large nose and people gleefully throwing shoes at him. Very nice with a interesting twist at the end. Have you considered trying to balance some of the lines to help it flow better? For instance, if you eliminate' slowly' in the first line, the first and third verses would have the same amount of syllables, the same is true if you eliminate 'get up to' in the fourth line, it would have the same amount of syllables as the second line. I love poems about the outdoors, this writing has wonderful imagery. My favorite lines............A tender blushing cheek (an awesome description I can picture so well in my mind)............A lonely winter rose (I am an avid gardener and can appreciate how a snowfall can protect the beautiful bush from the harshness of winter). A very powerful poem. My favorite line--Even to make my begging round, I am rather too old. The plight of the homeless is tough enough, but the thought of them becoming too old to beg is heartwrenching. Great poem, I believe it will have a lasting effect on my life and thoughts for some time to come. Wonderful job.

I enjoyed reading your article even though I disagree with about 92 percent of what you had to say. I am an avid baseball fan and when I sit with a bunch of guys and talk about the game occasionally someone who knows some of the basics pipes up and gives his opinion. It is obvious to the rest of us that this person has no clue and rambles on about something he knows little about. I know nothing of hockey, but I could use the lingo and criticize the game and to true hockey fans I would come across as very uninformed.
