He is worried about her and the baby. She is acting strange and won't listen to him. The environment wasn't good for her breathing. He was having problems himself but he was having to break down a wall as she requested. The wall had a hidden wall, crudely constructed. She demanded he break it down to see what was there.
Things went from bad to horrible as a secret is revealed.

The story comes together well.
The interaction between characters is good.
The ending caught me by surprise.

Well, here we have a new take on Mother Goose Land and its residents. Birthdays come and go but this one warranted quite a show. They gathered secretly so many well wishers. So much cooperation to go off without a hitch. No one counted on how the birthday girl would respond.

This is clever with a lot of imagination.
The ending came as a complete surprise.

Our author brings us a piece about tiger's eyes. When looking at a tiger look deep within their eyes. They in turn are looking deeply within yours. She is just taking care of her babies as we do. She is beautiful inside and out as we are when we remember God's teaching. The tiger is a creature worthy of respect and consideration. After all, if you are close enough to be in their territory; who is the intruder?

I like this part:
She isn't a predator like I thought, just a creature of the wild-
searching for peace and comfort like you and me-
for she, too is like a lost and frightened child.

A new mom and dad are so happy. They finally have their baby. It had been so long waiting but the wait is over now. The dad leaves the mom and baby alone for the night. Things don't go well. He receives a call in the middle of the night about his wife.
Together the dad and baby will have to go on alone.
The future is up in the air considering the evil surrounding the birth.

Reminded me a bit of the 'Damian' movie.

This piece is reassuring that love can last. Sure the new love or young love is full of magic and excitement but what is the glue holding it together. Those that have found the secret to everlasting love have built that love on a strong foundation. Strong enough to hold through any storm of problems that might surface. There might have been occasional fights but they won't really break any barrier they have built. Think of them in a castle with protective attitude as mortar. Be assured that they will not take each or granted but will cherish every day they have together and beyond.

A woman caught our characters eye. Comparing her to the wind. She is spontaneous and free and can go where she pleases.

"Shelly compared her to the sister of Spring"

So true. A woman is most beautiful when she can be herself and let freedom guide her.
Our character knows that she won't stay long but for now, right now, she is staying near. Why? There is no answer. How long? There is no answer. So enjoy her company and her vibrancy for as long as she sees fit. Who knows, she might just return to stay.

Our author uses a car to illustrate her on the road of life. There are bumps and the path is uncertain. She still goes on as the storms of life hit here and there. She isn't swayed by the uncertainty but thrives on it. Waiting to find out what is around the bend. She is unique and one of a kind. As the years go by she becomes more polished and more beautiful in His eyes; a jewel if you will. Sure she sees other travelers but this is her life and her ultimate destination is her heavenly goal.

Walking alone. The path took her to the waters edge. There she found a magical tapestry of God's creation. The water mixed with the sunlight casts such alluring images. Even an occasional tiny rainbow. Now, how could a person feel lonely after all these blessing where cast their way?
The flow is good.
There is a feel good sense to the piece.
A thankful sense as well.
The right walk, on the right day, to help her see the light.

You really had me going with this one. I was hocked lined and sunk. Reading along, expecting the worse, then the ending. Sneaky but good. Remember, I am an old lady and tricky stuff isn't fair. Thank you for the good write and surprise.

We have an old man loosing a picture. We also have a good Samaritan with hopes of returning it. As it turns out the good Samaritan comes across the cottage in the picture by accident. The man was there and was more than happy to see the man and the picture back with him.
There is a creepy catch though.
This is a little like Twilight Zone stuff. Thank you for sharing.

This is a fishing trip that won't be forgotten. A conflict takes place with one loud adversary. Without hesitation our character thinks there is a way to make the opponent stay away. No so lucky. There must have been something it was defending or protecting in the tall grass along the water. No way would the opponent let an intruder step in the area.
Soon it is an all out run with our character becoming trapped. The opponent took a bite and that's all the is too it.
Thanks for the lighthearted and funny piece for this evening.

We watch them grow and then watch them go. Soon enough they are on their own. The little toys that meant so much to them are from the past. The hardest thing a mom has to do is to part with those last few tangible memories of them. This is good. This is full of real feelings. A mother saying goodbye to little remembrances. All we can hope is that another child might find joy with them. Our minds go over the times we have seen them riding a bike or swinging on a swing. Pictures are one thing but still the real thing leaving her life is so very hard and final.

She was alone and wanted to have a party. She sent out invitations and no one came. The years rolled by and she became angrier and angrier. More invitation were sent and this time one came . She wanted the loneliness to be gone by keeping him there with her.
The story led up to an unexpected ending.
I thought she was just crazy from loneliness but she had something worse going on.

Our author brings us a funny piece about someone who has too much going on and doesn't know which way to go. Sometimes we all feel that way. So overwhelmed with do this and do that. Then maybe it would be better to do it another way. Confused and yet the responsibilities are mounting like a small heap of 'CAN'T IT WAIT JUST ONE MORE DAY?. Of course, they can't be ignore forever.

He might have felt he has lost control more than once. His safety net is always letting him down. His life is constantly in a negative state and yet he tries. He feels why bother if another fall is coming. So he figures why not let this fall be the last. Or maybe this leap of faith might change his whole way of thinking. There is mention of family and how he thinks they might be better off without him but he doesn't really feel that. Living doesn't have to be constantly on the ledge and waiting for the right time to leap to the dark abyss. Instead, he can take this leap and run with it. Life is that parachute and he packed it knowing he didn't really want to give up. He, deep inside, wants this fall to be a positive one. One that he will finally be thankful for and start a new sense of being.
This a very interesting piece.

Imagine being this man and remembering the abuses he suffered. The words will never leave his head. Picture a little boy being yelled and screamed at because he was born. Thoughtless parents and ignoring neighbors left him to suffer this alone. It makes the reader ask why? Why this child had to suffer so? He didn't bring on the anger and hate of the parents but he was the one they picked upon. Shameful, simply shameful. To this day, he must cry deep inside feeling he was never loved. Don't forget, this kind of thing goes on more than we would like to admit. Listen to a child crying and look for the signs. Call someone, do something. Other wise there will be more traumatized children that become traumatized adults.

This is a cute piece about the springtime and the birds making there appearances known. Each has their own melody. So busy doing their birdie things and each won't hesitate to sing. Our character finds them a joy to watch. Sitting on the porch and swinging away. A sweet glimpse of nature and the magic of spring.

She spend time alone communing with God. She had questions about her life and He offered His reassurance and love. Letting her know he is always with her through the good and bad. He called her His child and to be at peace. Isn't it a blessing what prayer can do? Taking the heavy weight away and giving it to Him. Let God be in charge. Sure we all question but He knows we will. We aren't perfect and His plan is beyond our understanding. So live and let God.

Wow. I like this. A man who couldn't be captured finally meets his match. He had escaped numerous times for years in many situations but this time was different. Totally different. So surrendering was something his heart had to do. Without hesitation he began this new captive life. No protest now, no vision of possible escape. A smile took his past life and through it out the window.
I like the way the piece came together to a very surprising end.

Our author brings us a piece to ponder this evening. This world we live is can be an unforgiving place. An unhappy place. A place filled with anger and painful loss. We must be careful not to let the outside world change who we are inside. Reach down and find the human side of you. Look beyond others negative attitudes and share a positive one. Find the courage to be kind and helpful with others. It can start with just one smile. After all, isn't a smile infectious. Like the saying goes 'if you can't say something good, don't say anything at all. Isn't it better to share a bit of sunshine than to pray for rain.

We all know about the pigs. Right? Well, this one has a real estate plan. He welcomes those that might want to live in the same environment as he does. Unfortunately the visitor center was destroyed by an enemy. Then his home was attacked and this enemy turned everything into rubble. Finally and most tragic of all, our pig ends up the result of foul play.
Interesting and clever take on the story.
Funny and love the town name Porktopia.

Lets say you lived in the city most of your life. You are use to the culture of the city as well as the crime. You are used to rarely seeing the stars because of pollution and the city lights. All the concrete with little area to find serenity.
Now suppose you decide to move to the country or even just visit it for a few months. The whole lifestyle is different. The night sky comes alive with stars and even some lightning bugs might twinkle here and there. What if by chance you might find this lifestyle a bit appealing. The quiet, the culture a bit more friendly. Certainly less crime but most of all love. You develop a love for nature. The beauty of the mountains and lakes. The trees and small creatures. You might still be a city dude but the transformation is beginning the first time you watch a the morning mist cover the land.

Picture if you will, a little child sitting on a chair backwards and hanging on the back watching out the window as the rain falls. Curious where it comes from and yet knowing how necessary it is. Probably has been taught about rain in the elementary school class. Aware it gives nourishment to the grass and trees. Then comes the call from mom; so the rain watching is over for a time.

Our character is angry at God for not being around. He admits he messed up but didn't think God would abandon him. Then he demands that God show himself. Then he feels the God is afraid. Then he questions if God even exists.
Sometimes people get lost and forget they must have faith. There is no signpost in the middle of the road pointing to where God is. He is everywhere. He won't be pushed or disrespected. Certainly being angry at Him is not a good thing to do. One thing for certain God is real to this character. The character wouldn't be angry at a cloud in the sky for not raining. There is emotion here and perhaps a feeling of a child being abandoned by his Father. It's like the character is throwing a fit like a child and is directing it toward his father for not being there for him.
Interesting the way it is written.
