| 2 Kings 4:26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? and she answered, It is well. This passage in the bible amazes me. The woman has sent for Elisha because her son is dead. He sends a servant to ask her, is everything well. Even though the woman's son is dead, she states it is well. This is a strong testimony. That no matter what was wrong in her life, the woman trusted God and knew that all was well. Our family has experienced many trying times in the last four months, when I heard our pastor preach on this verse, I had to say it is well. That no matter how much sorrow, grief, trials and problems that we experience all is well. The reason all is well, because God is in control. His will is going to be done, but He will always take care of us. He will place no more on us than we can bear. We also have Jesus Christ as our Anchor in life. He is our Lord and Savior, and has provided our salvation by dying on the cross for our sins. Praise God He arose on the Third Day. By accepting Jesus into our heart and believing He is God's only Son, I can say It is Well. Jesus will carry us through any storm that rages in our life, by the love He shown we will one day see heaven's shores. So I can truly say, through Jesus Christ's love It Is Well. I know that our family will face many obstacles and that Satan will try his best to make us stumble. Through Jesus Christ we will over come everything. We will give all the praise and glory to God, and sing It Is Well With My Soul. It Is Well Lord, so much has happened in the last year That has filled our eyes with many flowing tears Many times our mind has been filled with dread With wondering what we may face that is ahead Then to You we have turned and prayed and cried To help us through this storm, to please be our guide Then sweet relief comes to us from within Knowing You are with us, on You we can depend No matter what we may face through out today I can honestly say It Is Well all of the way You are the Anchor to which we cling All is well, because You are our King You will help us face the problems that arise All is well, because You dry the tears from our eyes No matter what problems may appear Lord, we know that You are always here Through You any mission we can achieve Because in You we truly and honestly believe There is no mountain that You can not move There is no heartache that You can't soothe With Jesus by our side, anything we can defeat All of our fears and sorrow, Jesus can always delete With Jesus as our Anchor, I can say It Is Well Because Jesus saved my soul from Satan's hell |
| Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Let us rejoice in the love that Jesus has for us. He died on the cross so that you and I could be saved. He suffered greatly, because His love for us was so true, and still is today. Let us follow the example Jesus set for us. Let us love one another, and tell others of Jesus' love. We can find peace in the true love that Jesus has for us. Let us strive to live our lives so that it reflects that we have Jesus dwelling in our heart. True Love Let me tell you about the truest love that I have ever known By God in heaven, the truest love was shown He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins He bestowed a love on us that has no end Jesus was beaten, tortured, and whipped The abuse continued, and of His clothes He was stripped But still the worse was yet to come Jesus said, "Father Let Thy Will Be Done" Jesus was nailed on the cross for our sins to bare What love He had for us to remain there Jesus had thorns placed upon His head as a crown He could have called a legion of angels and came down True love was what Jesus had to give He had to die, so you and I could live Jesus was placed between two thieves on the cross at Calvary One knew that Jesus was the Christ, Jesus told him, today you will be in paradise with me In His final hours, Jesus prayed, "Father forgive them, they know not what they do Now this is the truest love, that has ever been shown to me and you Praise God that on the third day That the stone was rolled away Jesus is Risen, He is Alive Everyday for Him I will strive If you don't know Jesus I pray soon you will All your wounds and hurts, Jesus can heal |
| John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger: and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Isn't this a great promise. That when we accept Jesus we will hunger no more. He will fill our thirst. By believing on Him we can have eternal life. Jesus is the bread of life, for our sins He was sacrificed. True love is what Jesus Christ has given to all who will believe and accept Him. Praise His holy name. BREAD OF LIFE The bread of life one day I will eat I’ll hunger no more when I bow down at Jesus’ feet There will be rejoicing and praising God that His word to us was spread That when our soul did hunger He kept it feed There were many times that the storms in my life would not cease Until I prayed to God and He gave me peace Many things in my life I tried to conceal When Jesus saved me every sin to Him I revealed The bread of life I have found For thousands of years it has been around The bread of life Is the one and only Jesus Christ He filled my cup I thirst no more I’m happier than I’ve ever been before |
| Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. As I read this scripture I had to ask myself, am I growing up in my spiritual walk with Jesus? Are we growing in spiritual maturity? When we are growing in our relationship with Christ, we experience a true life changing relationship. I know I am growing but my growth is slower than I would like it to be. Many times I place God on the back burner in my life. Let us strive to put Jesus back in number one place. Then and only then can we mature in His love, truth, and life changing relationship. That we are truly transformed inside and out.If we allow Jesus to place His stamp on our heart and soul, we will truly never be the same again. To allow His truth spoken in love, to reflect from our lives everyday. That is when our light will truly shine for God. Only Jesus can truly calm every storm Even our very soul Jesus can transform I want to grow up, and mature in His love To seek His truth, and guidance from above Our whole life Jesus can completely change Our heart and direction in life He can rearrange Let us follow the example Jesus set, while on this earth To truly grow in His love, and experience a new birth To extend love to all that we meet, to speak out of love To tell the world that Jesus is the way to a home above That we will no longer be ordinary Because His touch is extraordinary In Jesus we can grow daily, in His love and truth To be humble and loving as His example set in Ruth Let us strive to grow and mature in the love of Jesus Christ To be a tree planted by the river, growing and showing new life Let us sprout roots for Jesus and flourish Let our heart and soul, for Jesus to nourish |
| Psalm 32:8 (King James Version) 8.I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. I pray for God to guide us in our daily life. Many times I truly wonder what the day may hold. I often focus on what God's plan is for our life. What mission does He have in mind? Where does He plan to have us go? I know God has a plan for us, sometimes I am frightened when I think of what our destination may be. Then I am reminded by God's holy word that He will give us peace, and God does not abandon His children. When I think about God's calling on our life, now I get excited. I know that God will lead the way. He will show us the direction we are to go in uncertain times. We will fail along the way, but God will pick us up and help us get back on our way. Our mission only God in Heaven knows. One thing I know for sure, He will be with us every step of the way. We must pray and trust God, and lean on Him when things seem impossible to us. He will nurture our faith, and through the Holy Spirit strengthen our walk with Him daily. If we just read our bible and let God lead, trusting Him completely, we can never go wrong. So when we think of what God has in store for our life, let us think of it as wonderful adventure. Something that will bring glory to God's holy name. Let God use us to tell the world about Jesus Christ, all the days of our life. What does God have in store for our life? Telling the world of His only Son Jesus Christ Let us not be afraid of the mission God has for us In Him let us place every ounce of our complete trust Let us not fear the road that we may have to travel God will be there to catch us if we stumble in the gravel God has a plan for our life, we need to let Him take the lead He will lead us to our destination, He knows our every need He will guide our footsteps no matter where we may go In Him we find peace, because He loves us so In time God's plan He will reveal He will carry us up every hill |
| Matthew 11:29-30 29.Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30.For My yoke is easy, and My load is light. In this life we move at a fast pace. Many times we pass God right on by. We focus on all of our troubles and trials, and forget to involve God in all that is going on. We try to handle things on our own, then end up making a big mess out of everything. Let us slow down and let God work in our life. Give Jesus all the burdens that hinder us. Let Him carry our load, in Jesus we can find rest. Let us sit down and talk to God. To let Him know everything that is going on in our life. To share with Him all the things that bring us down. Let us sit down with our heavenly Father and catch Him up on all that is going on in our life. He already knows what is going on, but wants to hear it from us first hand. Start including God in everything that we do daily.Get His advice on things before everything goes hay wire. To alert our Father to the pain and sorrow that we are suffering, so that He can relieve our heavy heart. Let us slow down and make time for God daily. To exercise daily by going to Him in prayer. To share our joy and disappointments with Him no matter what. To let Him carry our heavy load, to realize that we can't do anything on our own, without God working in our life. Let us slow down, and quit running so fast that we leave God out. Slow down and sit and talk with God about our daily problems. To let Him dissolve those mountains that we can't move. He can move any obstacle if we just have the faith and believe. Slow down and rest, let God work in your life. Let us quit stepping on His toes, trying to resolve problems that only He can. Slow Down Father, let me slow down, so that You can work in my life To remove all the mountains and obstacles that create strife Let me remember to sit and talk with you on a daily base To tell you things that are going on, not to run around in haste Father, let me take the time to kneel down at Your feet Talking with You daily makes my life feel complete Let me share with You, all the problems of my day To ask You to carry my load, take the problems away Let me slow down and feel Your presence within my heart Let everyday of my life on this earth with You always start Forgive me Father, when I move at a fast pace I need to slow down, so in my life you have first place Let us slow down and talk to You, and give You our heavy load You will carry our heavy load, By You the load will be towed |
| Psalm 124:8 124:8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Many days we grow weary and tired. With all of the problems that life throws our way, we get down and out. We begin to feel sorry for ourselves. It seems like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. When we get to feeling this way, let us think back to all that God has brought us through. That no matter how impossible things have seemed, God has provided everything we could ever need. I know every now and then we have a pity party, and let Satan encourage that we are getting no where at all. On those days, Satan has a party at our expense. Let us remember to give God the praise, for all that we have been given. Not to worry about all the things that we need. God has never let us down, and He will not start now. He will provide for His children daily. We are not always going to experience joy and happiness. There will be hard times, and times that we are so tired we can barely go on. No matter what we need, God will deliver. Keep the faith and try not to focus on things that God will provide eventually. It is hard at times when it feels like the whole world is caving in on you. God will make the sun shine bright on us soon, so just hold on. When we get tired of trying, we need to let God take the reigns. When we have done all that we can, we need to pray and give it all to God. He will help give us relief from all things that burden us. No matter what problems we are facing, God will deliver in His time. We just have to trust and believe, in His awesome power. God will use these times of trials to draw us closer to Him. Father, when an emergency occurs we call on You You always come to our rescue, and pull us through Father, I know You love to hear from us in good and bad times You are awesome Father, Your timing is always so divine Father, when we begin to doubt things in this life Let us run to Your only Son Jesus Christ No matter what our need, I know help is on the way Because You provide for our needs every single day You are our true source of help when things seem bleak When we hit rock bottom, to You Father we can speak When things seem so wrong You always make us strong Father, Thank You for Your help in all things Thank You Father, for the many blessings Your love brings |
| Isaiah 49:14-16 14But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Sometimes when things fall apart in our life, we feel that God has forgotten us. It is during these times that we have to remember, that God is carrying us in His arms. He has not forgotten us, He is just holding us when we are too weak to stand. Just when we look around, God shows us His power. He shows us in our most desperate times, that He is with us. When friends, family, and the rest of the world have given up on us, God has not forgotten us. He will be there in our darkest hour, even though some times we don't realize it. He is beside us every step that we make in life. Just like the footprints in the sand poem, He carried us when we could no longer make it. So when we notice just one set of footprints, let us remember, that God has carried us that last mile. Just like stated in these verses, a mother can forget her child. But we are God's children, and He will never forsake us. So when the world seems against us, remember God is for us. No matter what goes on in our life, God is always faithful and true. He will always be there for me and you. When times get tough, He will make a way to bring us through it all. Father, I know that You have not forgotten me You sent Jesus Christ, to set this sinner free I know that You will forget us not You are with us when we are on the spot You will embrace us in the worst of times You will be with us, when everything is fine No matter what we may face each day Lord, You are truly with us all the way Father, when we see only one set of prints We will know that in Your arms that time was spent That You carried us when we could no longer stand That You led us and took us by the hand That You showed us the way we needed to go You have not forgotten us, You love us so |
| Ephesians 3:16 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man. We want to live our lives for God, but sometimes we become defiant. Inside we have the desire in our heart to do what God requires, and needs us to do. But on the outside we are influenced by the ways of the world. That is when God's strength comes into play, we must cling to Him daily so that He can strengthen us through His Spirit. To strengthen us to resist Satan's temptations, God can empower us through His Spirit with strength to truly live for Him. God can give us the faith, the will, and the enabling power to resist temptations that Satan places in our path. Through God we can have peace of mind, and the strength to face everyday problems in life. Strength From God Lord, let me place everything in Your hands To let You strengthen me in things I need to understand To let You make my life what it should be To place love in my heart and set my spirit free Your strength can help me truly soar Through Your strength I can do so much more Through the strength that You provide I want You always to be my Guide Father, strengthen me daily so my life can be pleasing to You Strengthen me to work for You in all that we may do |
| 1 Corinthians 3:11 Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Many times we try to build a life that we think will be perfect for us. We build our life on hopes and dreams. Then later down the line everything is destroyed and taken away. After a time we realize that we were using the wrong foundation to build our dreams on. None of our foundations were truly strong. Then when we built our life on the true foundation, which is Jesus Christ things no longer seemed to wash away. Our feet are on solid ground, we find that our foundation is strong. That we are no longer drifting out to sea because we built our house on the sand. With Jesus as our true foundation we can truly weather any storm. Because Jesus is the Rock, the firm foundation on which to build our faith and life. Through Jesus Christ we receive salvation and the perfect foundation. Solid As A Rock Jesus is the perfect foundation He is the solid Rock to salvation Jesus is the perfect foundation on which to build He is the foundation that makes Satan have to yield At one time my house was built upon the sand It was washing away until Jesus took my hand Now my foundation is built on Jesus Christ A firm foundation that will last for life Put your foot on the Rock that will last forever The foundation that will stand firm and stay together So let us build our foundation on Jesus our Rock Then our salvation is secure as a strong lock It can't be broken and no one can take it away With Jesus our foundation is firm and will always stay |
