| Wednesday January 24, 2024 7:45 pm I thought it was Thursday, SuperPower Reviewers raid day. I thought people were raiding already because I had 4 of my stories reviewed. I love the feedback. When someone enjoys a story and gives a reason, like one person saying they started their day off great after reading my story. I will be writing a lot more being in the I Write 2024 activity. The friendships I am making here are fabulous. Not everyone is someone else's cup of tea. When there is a connection, though, it is a beautiful thing. About this time of night I review what goals in Habit Heroes I still need to finish. One was this blog entry. Go me! I did it! ****Edit**** I returned to say if I need to work on my Dear Me entry one more time I am going to scream. I need to transfer it to Word so I stop deleting finished sections which are written exactly as I want them to be. It is a horribly bad habit I have of typing right in the item. Slapping myself upside the head. |

| Tuesday January 23, 2024 11:30 am I am working methodically through my Just Do It list today. I have fallen into the old habit of catching a wave and getting to the shore eventually. What ends up happening is I don't get everything done. Not even most of it done. I wander off and my day could be summed up like a Family Circle cartoon with me moving about in a zagged line. Some days that is okay, especially on light commitment ones. The end of the month approaches at breakneck speed and I am hanging on |
| Monday January 22, 2024 8:20 pm I have the first episode of the new season of The Bachelor on. The kids and gkids gave me a huge TV for my birthday. The colors are awesome. I feel I have so many opinions of late. Expressing them in a non-threatening way is something I work hardest on. I read an enormous amount of work here last week. Amazing techniques, fabulous vibrant words.. Nothing like letting my eyes read the lines of a poem where a story develops quickly and effortlessly. I missed the I Write deadline due to my grandson's hospitalization. It sounds crass but I am glad I am human enough to allow myself to prioritize my real life over my online one. |
| Once again I wiped out my entire blog entry responding to the Blog City prompt.. My computer was compromised by a big mess involving shysters who attempted to take over my computer. I was stupid and had to have my guru computer guy, aka my 27 year old grandson come rescue me and shut the criminals down before the damage was done. All was cleared off, and i am starting like I have a new computer. My passwords are being saved to a vault but that is a little extra step which I keep saying I will fix but I don't do it every time. I tried to access WdC earlier today. My computer blocked the site saying it was not secure and for my protection I was being blocked. I have little to no tolerance for technological issues. Period. So no rewrite, no explanation of the SNAFU I encountered. And no info about my 11 year old grandson who has been in the hospital for six days. It is all irrelevant to anyone but me. |
| Wednesday January 17, 2024 3:20 pm Prompt: Who is your favorite Disney character? Mickey Mouse was my favorite character until I started watching Disney Movies culminating in Elsa and Anna. I am Anna, of course. i have been AWOL. My youngest grandson has been in the hospital since last Friday. I had a 3 day stomach flu. Now I am just fatigued. |
| Friday January 12, 2024 6:10 pm I called my sister halfway through the day to ask her to stop the world, I wanna get off for a rest. She laughed. I told her I knew she loved me and would do anything she could for me. That, she told me, was not one of the things she could do. So she agreed to listen to me blather for an hour. She sounded relieved when I said I was out of things to say. I need to refer to my posting of my 2024 plans. I am sure I am already doing extra stuff not in the plan. It looks like I have italics turned on. That is different than usual. I hope things are different this whole year. I want it to be my most active year writing ever. |
| Monday January 8, 2024 7:00 pm I wrote an entry this morning. It did not stick. It was just a few lines but part of it may or may not be something I wanted to write. I will repeat it anyway. I am concerned about some recent interactions which included, perhaps unintentional, hate speech and anti-semitism. I discussed it with a trusted friend and have worked through it. If there are situations that make you uncomfortable, use that knowledge to prevent being in the same situation and expecting it to turn out anything but the same. |
| Saturday January 6, 2024 12:35 pm It is Saturday, but as long as I have been retired, it is just another wonderful day to do who, what, when, where, and how I want to do what I do. Wrote a couple of short stories from prompts. Working on some group stuff. I must get my schoolwork done instead of waiting until the last minute. It is my final week of the class called Technical Communications. Working with my email inbox next. Having a honey bun for lunch right now. I know...not good for me...it was hard to decide whether to warm it up or not. Heated is best.  |
| Friday January 5, 2024 12:45 pm  Prompt: Random words for inspiration on this first Friday in January: snow, wind, mountaintop, survival, pickles, colorful, seat, and a bikini. It was a weekend of skiing and snowboarding at the resort in Colorado. Snow proliferates at higher elevations. When you arrive the wind screaming in all directions. As you look up at the mountaintop, your eyes move on to gaze into the colorful sky with varying shades of colorful blues. If you take a seat near the fireplace inside the lodge, you contemplate survival on the slopes. When warm and dry you are ready to go again. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I am working on setting good habits regarding dividing my time each day. I set less goals. The result is a few hours later in the evening to work on my hobbies. It makes me happy. |

I haven't tried it with a blog, but with book entries you can click the gear in the upper right corner of the entry and then hit Edit. Then you should be able to edit, not just the words, but also who can see it. Just change it to For My Eyes Only. 
And I find it adorable that you didn't know how to tag yet.
