Hello Words Whirling 'Round

My Thoughts: Having had a few of "those kind of days" myself, I can totally relate about the coffee being a type of salvation. LOL.

My Favorite Part:I remember my Dad wanting coffee in the morning, but finding it not brewed, and his fussing about it when I was a little girl. Thank you for the memory trigger.

My Suggestions:I am reviewing this as part of the November Raid with the PowerReviewer group, and I am glad to have found this to read. Love this fun poem...sound just like a Monday Morning...or whichever day is "spuddle". Keep up the great work. I found no mechanical issues in your writing. And thank you for adding the prompt (coincidence it is from Coffee Queen Lilli? I think not).

My Thoughts:I am a fan of coffee, to be sure, but to say you like/need coffee would be an understatement, indeed.

My Favorite Part:"life support in a small brown bean" cracked me up.

My Suggestions:The only suggestion I have is to myself - to read more of your work. Your sense of humor comes through greatly, and this ode to coffee was a fun read. Thank you for sharing. I saw no mechanical issues, nor grammatical issues - to be expected since it was a contest entry. You didn't say if you won, or not.

Hi again!

After reading your work, My impressions are these:I love the picture you paint about a childhood memory. I can see it clearly in my mind's eye.

My Favorite Part(s) being able to smell homemade bread from "12 miles away" and the "lucky" ones getting a whole loaf to take home. These bring up memories for me when my mom used to bake bread when I was a little girl. Thank you for sharing this poem.

Final thoughts: I am glad that I got to delve into your portfolio for this month's anniversary reviews. Thank you for sharing. I hope you will write some more.

My First Impression: Oh, honey! I've only felt this way a few times in my life...I couldn't imagine living like this...it is gut-wrenching to read and I just want to wrap my arms around you to protect you, even if it sounds silly.

My Favorite Part: Your words are so cutting and descriptive. I'm guessing that well meaning people try to give platitudes and walk by; My thinking is that they DON'T know what to do or say.

My Suggestions/Final Thoughts: I know you've probably heard this many times, but I am grateful you are here, and you matter to me. My First Impression: I found your poem in the Read & Review portal. I agree with your writing. While we cannot know for sure; we can have the hope that something better is coming. I choose to believe in that hope for myself.

My Favorite Part:I like how you use the analogy of a pearl. But even that gem is brought about by an irritant in the oyster, and the coatings over that irritant produce such a glorious pearl.

OMG!!! These are just too wonderful. What a variety of trinkets and Merit Badges you have. As a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice, I'd like to get a Jane Austin Merit Badge or the Elizabeth and Darcy Merit Badge. My First Impression: Your title is what drew me in. I found your writing on the "Read and Review" port.

My Favorite Part: "If your religion requires you to hate Then you need another religion." This stuck with me.
Also all of the "golden rules" of the different religions basically boiled down to the same thing: Treating others as you would want to be treated.

My First Impression:A not-so-simple concept expressed wonderfully in two poems. One of our ancestral family, and then our day-to-day family, so to speak. You are correct when you say that family is more than just our DNA; there are the emotions, experiences, and bonds that involve the whole of a person.

My Favorite Part:"...Soul stirring passions...splintered...one race" The last stanza epitomizes the wanderlust that man has, and how we've become so different.

My First Impression:What interesting dolls! They are very elaborate and detailed. You've clearly put some time into them.

My Favorite Part:I like the dolls that have a little "side kick" with them. I've never seen anything like these. How long does it take you to do a doll?
