I like to read novels and biographies, so if I can review them at the same time, why not. My ratings are usually at the high end because I think if someone has taken the time and effort to write a large piece, it is an achievement. The review will give the opportunity to flag up typographic errors. I do not mark down ratings for these errors because they are easily fixed.

Capitals at the start of each verse would perhaps give more impact. The lack of punctuation is obvious and may be intentional. I have sometimes put on unpunctuated poems and got marked down for it. But that is not the main point, in my view. It is the content that counts with me, and I found this to be a very pleasant and enjoyable read. I like what you have done here and you must have spent a bit of time getting it the way you wanted. The only bit I'm not sure of is the last two lines. I would try to re-write them, but if you are happy with them, that's as important as others criticism. Well done with this, and I hope to see more of your work.

A charming and very enjoyable read. A tale from your past showing your skill as a writer as you draw the reader right in as, if we are there watching.

What a lovely, facinating, and original tale. Very well-written and a piece to be proud of. There is so much doom and gloom about, and a lot of writing reflects on that. To read your stories is like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for writing and displaying this, and I hope to read more of your work soon.

I loved this tale. Again I found it faultless and written so well that it all came over very visual as it was read. I think that you are very talented in the craft and I hope you continue to entertain us through your writing.
A very fond welcome to WDC, and I hope to visit again soon.

Canada, Tasmania, Adelaide should be in capitals, also These boots... and Thoughts of who... There are also a couple of mis-spelt words which you can pick up with the spell-checker.
This is a good start to what could be an interesting tale. Even being so short , it captures the imagination of the reader, who wants to know more. Well-done with this and welcome to WDC.

What a wonderful and enjoyable story. Being a doggie person myself I could relate very well to it. My dog always chases cats and luckily he never catches them, or he could come off worse. It is a very visual piece and I could see it all so clearly.
Thanks, well-done and welcome to WDC.

Should 'I'm pulled by to reality' be 'I'm pulled back to reality'?

I got this sent from the random read dice, and I'm glad that such a nice piece was sent. A well-thought-out and well-written poem that flows well and prompts the reader to reflect a little. A few kind words or some thanks make things a little brighter. Well done with this. It's full marks from me.

A great poem with a lot of meaning. Some poems ramble and contain things that are irrelevant to the theme, but this is all good and flows well. The only bit I'm not sure about is rhyming, strong and long, in two consecutive verses.
Very well-done though, and a lovely read.

And good ridance to him. Tell your character to go and find a nice guy. There still are some about.
I really like this poem, it is something different giving an entertaining and enjoyable read on that dodgy choice and mistake that some of us have made at some time. The advice is there. If the relationship is no good, move on.

A nice piece of writing and a lot of fun to read, unless it's true and you didn't get the job. Then it's just a nice piece of writing. It flows well and the content seems well thought out. An entertaining piece and I look forward to reading more from you. No errors to my eyes, though I wonder why the quote mark is between( How “they ). Top marks from me.

A lovely well-written short. You have got so much into this little piece. I particulary like the sentance which includes "darkness moving within..." and what great thoughts and images throughout the work. A brilliant piece of writing and faultless to me. Well done with this gem and welcome to WDC. It's top marks from me.

I don't recall reading a second person short story before, and it turned out to quite a treat. The content was great, very visual and believable. I spotted no errors or typo's, though I was so wrapped in the tale that they would have to jump out of the page for me to notice. Thank you for a very good read.

I love this great little short. It is great to get into the point of view of the horse as the story unfolds. I especially like the line about the wooly mammoth. Although I think it is a wonderful read, it is spoilt a little by the typing errors. Well done though for showing us something different.

A very well crafted poem. Nice rhymes and it seems to have been proofed by the author to ensure that there were no errors or typo's. A warm and loving poem that is a joy to read. I particularly like the first verse, which could easily stand alone, but is still complimented by the others.
Top marks from me. One of those, I wish I wrote that poems.

Such a delight to read another of your poems. The rhymes were great and the flow was top form.
The topic was something original, entertaining and easy to visualise. The last line was very clever and made me laugh.
I could find no errors, an enjoyable read.

Well done with this interesting, historic, story.
The prologue is a good introduction and gives a personal input to the story.
Chapter one seems to comment on factual events, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I enjoyed chapter two more though, because it was an action adventure in itself, and although fiction, gives us an insight into similar events that could have occured during the conflict.
I could find no errors and enjoyed the read very much.

What a lovely piece of writing you have here. The flow, rhyme, punctuation and content were excellent to me. But mostly, I really adore the form and the way you mix end rhymes with internal rhymes. I wonder at the different music you were listening to to produce this, but don't need to know. A gift from this poem is that we can work out our own music, which I have to the first and second, and will find something for the third. A wonderful poem to be proud of. I'd give six out of ten if I could.

This is to me, a well-written poem with an easy-readable flow. The poem’s narrator could be a partner, son or daughter, or even a very close friend. It’s a poignant story that makes us reflect on those loved ones around us; never knowing what lies around the corner for them, or for us. A poem to be proud of.

I think this is a very good poem. I can see into the mind of the character and the excitement and confusion she feels.
I think that the fifth verse could do with editing a bit because it is the only one which I struggled on. Get that verse right and you will have a gem of a poem.
Very well done, and welcome to WDC.

An original theme to this poem, and a content that is scarey to many. I love the rhyme and the way that it flows. Except for: 'My spider-for-a-snack loving cat?' which I feel stopped the flow, and I struggled a bit with it, although the content of the line was great. A very enjoyable read, with no errors noted.

The first two verses reflect the thoughts of many of us loving parents. The third makes us think a bit. Is the Lord proud of me. I don't know, maybe. I've never been downright evil, but some of my commitments to the commandments may have faltered a litte during my youth.
A lovely poem. Well done.

The message, content, rhyme , flow and punctuation are all very good in this piece. I would remove 'front' from the last line, but that's just an opinion.
A very nice read with personal thoughts to reflect on. It is so refreshing to read items like this.
Top marks from me.

Looking about for a quick and pleasant short read before turning in and, what luck, I found this.
I can clearly see the horsey lady, and the prince with his tunnel vision. It brought a smile to my face a few times, especially at the end.
I could not find any fault with this. Nicely done, cracking content and a very enjoyable read.

I could tell by the first paragraph that this was going to be a great read. If you only had that one paragraph displayed, I'd still give you top marks. A very good start and such a valid point at the end of it.
You do have a few typo's to sort out. Then I suggest you display this on the request reviews page.
I enjoyed reading this very much, and it brought a smile to my face many times. Even with the typo's, it's top marks from me.

I like what you have here. It is a piece that is thought provocing and we can all relate it to our own journeys. With a few minor alterations this could even grace the tables at a wedding reception.
Pesonal opinion. I would make the first two lines into one. At first I thought that to make it even you could remove a line from the third verse, but that may be difficult, and being the centre verse it seems to sit okay anyway.
Could find no typo's. Though maybe an apostrophe in 'others'.
Well done.
