This was a very interesting prose. It is so true life is what we make of it and how we choose to remember it. Each of our "roads" are different in different points in our life as well as from other people. Those we "passed" in life are tough to get over as we may still see their road, but never cross over it again.
This was a very interesting and very beautiful poem. I loved the choice to use the rainbow as it's a sign of one of God's promises. When times are tough, we should look towards God to help us get through those times. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
This was an interesting read. It actually tickled my funny bone and I normally hate satire! I guess that goes to show just how good this was. The part about the voodoo curses was my favorite although I can't say I didn't like the part where your girlfriend caught you messing around.
Really great story! I loved the play off of the musical terminology and how you came up with the different names. I also loved the message of how we are all different, but equally loved. This would be an awfully great story to publish for kids. Keep at it!
This was interesting. The story had many disjointed twists and turns. The word "bus" in "bus saw" should be "buzz". The ending didn't really make any sense. Why the projector and how did the guide get ahead of them without them knowing they were even after the treasure?
This was an interesting and beautiful poem. The topic of nature was a good choice. The rhyming was catchy, especially the last two lines. I liked how you described various different aspects such as the leaves and bees. The title was well chosen as "nature does indeed know best."
Hmm. This was a very interesting story. I liked the idea of a diamond hidden on a mountain that would be revealed by the northern lights. Theoretically, this is totally possible as diamonds gave been used to redirect lasers, so could one reflect the aurora borialis while not be seen in regular daylight (especially because the light intensity is really low in the extreme north). Great story.
Hmm. This was an interesting read. Congratulations on winning third place. I just wanted to mention that this was technically multiple Haiku so they should be separated by an empty space to avoid confusion. I especially liked the part about the "dew". However, what does "pulchritude" mean?
Hmm. This was a very interesting read. I absolutely enjoyed it. I loved the heartfelt message it carried and the timelessness of it's appropriateness. This could be for any person anywhere that is away from home and at anytime, not just Christmastime.
This was a very interesting and enlightening read. I tend to come back and edit my items quite often on WDC. That's why a lot of my items look quite polished. As part of my OCD it gives me great relish knowing how these tiny edits help make my work better over time.
This was an interesting and beautiful haiku. I liked the winter theme. My favorite part was the last line. There is just something about a "winter days dream" that rolls off the tongue in quite the satisfactory manner. I hope you did well in the contest since this was pretty good.
This looks like it will be an interesting read. It sounds like an awfully ambitious project though, so be prepared to see it all the way through. This item should be rated E or ADR instead of 18+ in the same way movie trailers are rated G instead of MA.
Hmm. This was a very interesting read. The rating is way too high though. The poem could not be any more than ADR, as there are no suggestive comments and while the word pistol is mentioned several times, you don't actually portray the suicide itself.
Sounds like your nuts about nuts! You definitely seem to have plans for using them and they sound delicious. It also sounds like you got some good friends. My mom would get ecstatic when my aunt sent her Georgia peaches in the mail. That hasn't happened in a long time.
This was a very interesting and decent retelling of the bible story regarding Abraham, Sara, and Hagar. I do wish to say that the biblical context does heavily imply that between Hagar's and Sara's distaste for each other & Ishmael's and Jacob's separate inheritances (both were promised many descendants) that they had to be separated for the sake of both nations to begin not to mention the part of God's plan revealed in Exodus.
Hmm. This was an interesting poem. While you chose a good topic (fairies) and your lines were not bad, I feel that this poem is missing the emotion behind it. Nothing seems to invoke any of my feelings. This might be just me though so don't take it as a fact.
Hmm. This was an interesting read. I liked the sense of humor you have about your own brain. There is nothing wrong with having fun with your brain's imagination as long as it doesn't get in the way at work time. Visualizing a paperclip as a train was a different view for me.
This was a very interesting read. I enjoyed how you started with a passage from the bible, then asked a question before getting to the "meat", and lastly, finising with another biblical passage. You even made some great points and recounted a personal life story.
Hmm. This was a very interesting read. Some parts felt a little off. For example, the prose was on a very serious note until the end when you used the phrase "see you later alligator". Also, the reference to the bible with "creator's love" being the only true love is incorrect. God also has a "maternal love", a "fatherly love", & many more.
Hmm. This was an interesting read. I liked how you chose the snail mail letter as your subject. It really is true that almost no one sends physical letters anymore and that is just a crying shame. After all, a hand written card means so much more than an email or text.
Hmm. This was a very interesting and very informative historical story. I always enjoy learning something new from you from history. How do you find out about these things? Even more importantly though, I hope you continue to write more of them in the future.
Hmm. This was a very interesting read. Regret can indeed be a very powerful emotion. It can haunt you your whole life simply because you wish things could have been different, but you know that it never will. This can feel like a very fatal "Catch 22".
Hmm. This was very interesting and very beautiful. The subtle use of wording was very well done and provokes some strong emotions in the reader. Beauty can very well be deceiving in more ways than one. Of course, beauty is also in the eye of the beholder.
Hmm. This was a very interesting and very sad poem. War has truly been devastating to so many people in so many ways. It's especially hard hearing about how it affects those who don't even help support the war such as the very young. Why should they suffer for others greed & hate?
Hmm. This was a very interesting item. I love the Christian appeal. It was very insightful about how we tend to think we know better than God & unintentionally try to manipulate him. Thank God we can't! He will always ensure that what we really need will happen.
