Oh my. Your story had me in tears by the end of it. Your post was really well written. I am several years older than you (I think) but I know how Grandfathers can be. I had a Grandfather similar to yours. We would always track Santa when I was younger. This is how I learned all the states and their capitals. My Grandfather was also a history buff. We bonded over the JFK assasination too. We read every book out there. My Grandfather was also there that day since my Grandfather was from Texas. I took him to the JFK library here in Boston and the stories he told me were fantastic. It was nine months later that we lost him to Lung Cancer. To this day I still read the JFK books and I eat up everything I can about JFK. I can feel my Grandfather close to me when I do this. Enjoy your memories. Keep up the great work.

Your poem was very pretty. All babies are a blessing. My nephew Jimmy's 7th birthday was on super bowl sunday. I remember the day he was born and it seems like it was just yesterday. They grow so fast. I miss the days I could hold him in my arms.
You have captured how I feel. I suffer from Bipolar and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I often tell people I am fine, I am okay, and don't worry all the while I am so very depressed and hurting. The only thing that stops me from killing myself when I am in a depressive state are my two nephews. At the moment I am doing great and making a lot of improvements. Writing also helps me.
