Quite an unusual way to remember someone: a handkerchief. This short piece from the author does tell a reader the depth of love that one has to a departed Grandma. There is the search for something that would be most appropriate for remembering; and to choose a handkerchief is not at all unusual. It just shows that the granddaughter wanted her Grandma with her throughout her life...

To the author, you do write well; do continue to write more...and for that, here are 130 GPs for the entertainment...

This short story sends a message to people who read it. Just like Mr. Voelker, who was either a cynic or someone whose life has not experienced the love of a brother... It is rather sad that there are people like Voelker whose heart and mind are focused on "hatred", on anger that seems to keep them without a heart... To the author of"For My Mother", you have written something that is close to my heart: all about "Mother". It is indeed a tribute to one's mother, loving and respectful words that bring to the surface the love of a daughter to her mother.

In many ways, mothers are the one person in the universe who deserves the honor, to be talked about, to write about, and to love and respect. In as much as we love and respect fathers, I believe that mothers deserve the honor most of all...

So to the author, write some more about mothers because they do deserve all the honor and love from daughters and sons.

I have learned a long time ago that mermaids do exist; that is, if you can spot them. This short sketch about Paddy and his mermaid is fun to read. It reminds of the saying, "believe it or not" because to the Paddy it maybe real but to a reader? I truly do not know...

Anyhow, the author wrote it out of an inspiration...Good for you, author; carry on with more something out of the ordinary...

Indeed, the words are not enough to let veterans know how people, not to mention their families, are forever grateful for their sacrifices. Veterans are truly people who deserve honor and respect as well as the honor attributed to them for their willingness to fight in the wars; to leave their family and loved ones for the love of their country; to sacrifice their lives so that those of us, who are not veterans, should continue to live free.

Do not "feel for people" because they do not have pets. You should, however, feel for people who actually are as human as you are because they probably think and believe that pets need to belong with their own "animal" group, and should not be handled and doted upon and petted by people... Maybe you should write more about pets, let people without pets realize that pets are the answers to their need for "technicolor" in their lives...Yahoo for you...

To the author of "Just Dreaming": good for you because now you have realized that "compromise" and "consensus" are "dirty" words that do not belong in any conversation. If you must remember, you are talking about humans with human emotions, human thoughts, humanity within their veins. The "disunity" and "fanaticism" are but only two words that truly and really incapsulate the humans of this world. What is happening really is that "we" have matured to the reality of "ourselves": mere humans whose thoughts, ideas, and "fanaticism" as you call it are truly and in reality mere words that do not mean anything at all... However, do not despair because as a writer you are somewhat leading other writers to think more of the "humanity" that runs through all our veins...

Well, then, author of "In Love", what do you intend to do about your love? Have you told him? Sure, you should at least let him know that there is "you" and that he should appreciate you. However, I would suggest that should you find that he is already attached to someone else, that you do not go crazy and hang yourself... Love will always restrain you from doing something that may hurt you; you know that, don't you????? So, carry on "loving"; it never hurts...

Do I detect from the author of "Gettin' Old Is Not For Sissies" that she/he has no intention to get "old"? Wow, and wow again; we do get old, you know; and the despair of dentures, etc, is just one of those things. The author of "Forced Isolation" brought to mind the many times I have learned about people who feel isolated from family, from friends, from relations. It is a sad and part of relationships that go haywire because of reasons that cannot be fathomed. I believe, at times, that there is this mis-connection with others because of differences in beliefs...in the way one is brought up...in the way one person thinks...

Nevertheless, the author in her/his poem has brought up this misconnection with such agility...carry on with your writing...
