Wow, and wow some more!!! To the writer of "Man of the World", I salute you for this piece of work: a revelation of two people's attitude toward trees... I agree with you, this couple is definitely a "Man of the World".
To the writer of "My Search", I thank you for the clarification regarding "Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Moses, Mohammad, the The Bab"!!! I do agree (and I quote you), "The differences in each relition arose from the different capacities of humanity in the ages in which they were revealed." Such a simple explanation; and the truth sets you free...
Let us hope that others have had the chance to read your piece; and that they, too, would believe the "differences".
"Write it right autobiography" began with some sadness and pity. Life began with a time of suffering and patience; of many numbers of insecurities and helplessness. However, the writing flowed quite nicely toward a beautiful life of marriage and children... and a happy, satisfactory good life...
I am amazed there are writers who can bring out the many good senses that fill lives; and this tale gives the meaningful thoughts that produced this piece of writing. May the writer continue to give us joy when we read and review...
The lesson of "What Goes Around" is quite clear: "that everyone's important, no one should be spurned". It is indeed amazing that writers find a way to express their thoughts and ideas in poems and stories, depicting the many faults, the multiple goodness, and the unfathomable endeavors that give meaningful studies of humans... Here's hoping the writer will continue to impress us with many more of her/his ideas/thoughts...
"What I Remember" is one person's joy of remembering something that happened in the past. This short poem gives the reader a picture of someone who took the time to ask and was responded to with a willingness by another to be a part of a wedding. There is a neat little picture of a "happy bride" and a joyous "Grandfather-to-be" that becomes a "happy memory"... Here's hoping the writer would continue to write more happy memories...
So, Sean Fear, you caught my interest with your "The Way I Live". Quite a way to rant, the way you write... Anyway it caught my interest and I feel that this is your way of expressing your writing self... Not bad at all... So, maybe we shall see more of your work?????
"Why Am I Still Here?" is a poet's questions regarding the whys, and the hows of an existence. Definitely, these are questions that bother and bring more questions that cannot be answered. Until, however, when one settles down, when one decides to look for and find the answers to all the whys and the hows.
So settle down; rest your weary little head and endeavor to look inward, inside you; and there you would find the answers: it is not a burden to live and love one's children because that is why you are there; nor it is not a burden to take up space because you are created to fill up a space, to grace that space for the joy and happiness that you would bring into the lives of people around you; to care for the sick and the lonely and the old...
To the writer, let us hope that you will continue to grace the spaces of Writing.Com...
The writer of "The Heist WC:299" has somehow crafted a tale about a boy, who it happens, is not only a liar but also a robber... Too bad the Officer was not taken in by the boy...
To the writer, do continue to write and give your reader (s) a chance to read and review...
"Happiness Evades Me" tells of "someone" who has found no happiness in her/his life. So the person wishes for the day when she/he finds "release and soft embrace". Unhappiness becomes part of our lives when we become selfish or hide away or just wait for something to happen. Life is not lonely nor unhappy; it is an evolving attitude that we should develop in order to be happy...
To the writer, do continue to write what your thoughts let you to do. Writing is such a good way to feel happy...
To the writer of "Monkey Business", your piece of work made me laugh... and I salute you for creating something that needs to be written about, so that people would be alert at the dismall way we act towards each other; because we have lost that part of life: that of "respecting" one another... and giving each other a chance to be helpful...
Good of the writer to create a piece that make us sit back and realize we have lost our "respect" for each other...
Reading/listening to the daily news seems to have created "zombies" among us, which this piece seems to imply. Has the news of the day/of the week affect people, so that they become "zombies"??? And when we say "zombie", do we mean "insane" or "mad" or affected the brains of people? Are there no more sensible, reasonable, upstanding people among us? Or is the news really that bad that we let our brains, ourselves get affected?
As I read "Choices", I realized that the writer has learned to write but has forgotten (or probably did not bother) the use of capitalizing the first letter of the first word of a sentence; and the use of commas, periods, semi-colons, colons (punctuations) as well as tenses, etc. These are necessary in order to make sense of what one is writing about...
As I read "dad", I realized I was reading about someone who misses a father who was gunned down and killed.
I have sympathy for the person who lost a Dad in circumstances described in the poem. It is indeed a tragedy. However, there comes a time when a person should learn to forgive, to lose that hatred because forgiving means learning to understand the circumstances that led to the death of a loved one. If we carry in our hearts that hatred, it would eventually make us as hateful as the one who took our loved one away.
You write well, and hope we shall read more of your work in Writing.Com...
Let not December's "icy daggers" ruin your holiday celebration. Enjoy the many "Good Wishes" of the season because not long after comes the "New Year" bringing in the goodness, the mercies, the beauty of the earth and the wonder of happiness among peoples of the earth!!!
Hello, there, "Caterpillar", what is wrong with you? Stop all this nonsense about not needing wings. Definitely, you need those wings. Just imagine this: when you go ahead and get those wings, just show them off; and you will find out that the other butterflies will envy you for the wonder that you became: with wings that shine as the good old Sun shine on you and bring out those wonderful colors on your wings. Now, then, what do you think of that? So, get off of your shyness. Go shine your wings; fly from flower to flower, let them feel your joy for the beautiful colors you have!!!!
There is shyness every where; however, there is also the ability to get out of it. Inspire others by being a "beautiful inspiration" to other caterpillars...
The story about "Hatfield's versus McCoy's" reminds me of the many ways families create instances that cause the breakup of a family. Stories like this tale are very much common among families who are well-to-do. There is always someone (in any family) who wants more; someone who would cheat in order to attain a better way to succeed; or someone who just wants to be the better from any other member of a well-knit family. There is no solution to this kind of broken situations because of the nature of families. The way the character did was to move away, stay away, and stop every bit of communications available. I support this character's attitude... It is a hope, though, that the author will continue to present readers/reviewers with more tales...
When a person finds it necessary to call upon someone who departed from her/his life, we say that that person is either missing the departed or that that person needs some kind of help as she/he tries to live a good life. It is indeed human nature to wish for the "return" of someone dear to one's heart...
These are really interesting review signatures. However, can any one use it if she/he is not a member of Talent Pond? How can I find out if I am a member?
"Howl on the Breeze" is a little tale about a wolf pup, who was summoned by the "sweet sound" from its mother, to join the pack. It reminds me of children who begin to understand the million ways of being part of a "family", a "pack" of wolves. It is indeed a nice thought...
Ahh... "Inspiration"... Yes, it is a real challenge, something that gives us more energy, the gift of ideas, the rambling thoughts that give us the energy to write and write some more. What an "inspiration"...
After reading the writer's "Behind the Rock", I thought this short tale brings up (to me, anyhow) the matter of our being humans. For example, the character learns of stories about old men who seem to know the answer to questions we foster in our lives. We try and learn the mystery that surrounds our humanity. The realization, of course, comes when we actually come face to face with the real answers to all our questions: there are no mysteries; there are only questions that make us more humans... To the author, your tale is a very good read. May you continue to regale us with more "answers" to all the "mysteries" that surround our humanities.
The little things that give us understanding are the abilities we have as humans to realize how much we do not know. Therefore, the realization of our humanity gives us the ability to understand that there is a reason behind things that happen; which the characters in this little episode seem to emphasize. To the writer, this is indeed a reasonable assumption.
"Hope" is something one wishes for when one is in prison. Somehow, though, the character did realize that one day she/he/it would have the freedom again to wear the colors he loved...
To the author of "What Are We Afraid Of?": your piece of work really pulled me in to read it. Actually, I have the same questions that you have...the whys of almost what we experience daily in our lives. And I think the answer is: because we are human, and the Good Creator did make us different from each other; however, from then on, we never learned to accept the many humanness of our neighbors and strangers. We know, for example, that some people have a difficulty to communicate properly with others; and because of that difficulty, people (or shall we say humans?) have a long, long way to accept the differences between a she or a he; or that, perhaps humans have learned from the older generation that preceded them. And it goes on...and on... and on...
To the author, you are not wrong to ask all those questions; maybe one day you, too, will learn to accept what is...
Memories seem to be one of the ideas that authors write about. It is indeed a good thing to remember, the past, the glory, the feelings of love, whatever it was; but memories are thoughts that we always use to express whatever those memories make us feel.
To the writer, here is hoping you will continue to give us something good to read about...
