Another interesting read was "Questions from Charlie". We realize there are ideas and thoughts that spring out of our everyday life; and we read and be amazed at how some writers do really make it more clear how to write... Kudos to the writer of this piece!!!!

Review of "The Best Gift"

AS I reviewed the story, "The Best Gift", I was awed at how the death of one human becomes the life of another. I felt the agony of a man who lost a wife; however, the beauty of the tale becomes known when the man who lost his wife realizes that his loss became the very reason for the happiness that made his life complete. It is a good story, and I would like to congratulate the writer for his piece of work; and that I hope he will continue to grace Writing.Com with more lovely and pleasing works...

Review of Carving

The statement in "Carving" tells us of "life" as we look at it in comparison with "wood"; that living is a matter of understanding the "soft" and "hard" side of living; that life is not all "easy" but msy also turn out to be "difficult". Life is indeed as "easy" as you can make it or as "hard" as the bark of a tree... Kudos to the writer for showing us this comparison...

Congratulations to the writer of "How I became an English learner". She/he has learned the use of the English language!!! Hurrah!!! We need writers who will write and share with all writers in the world how satisfying it is to share... Let's hope the writer will continue to write more, not only about English but also about all sorts of ideas and thoughts...

Good for the writer of "Unusual Dance" to share his poetry. We do need to "spice" our writing with laughter... Thanks for sharing your thoughts....

Review of Short

This "Short" flash is not only entertaining but also an eye opener. We try to sort of hide a thing here and there, and there is always someone who has either a "good eye" or just the "one person or thing" that "sees and hears" things...

Let's hope the writer continues to write more that we, as readers/reviewers, would enjoy...

To the writer of "Stand Aside", thank you for such lovely assurances for those of us who are over-active, over-anxious, over-misguided... We need words that make us stop, think, realize that we are in need of a solution to our emotional vulnerabilities... and thanks to this writer for reminding us that we are not "alone"...

To the writer, thank you for such encouragement...

"A little fairy" tells us of the thoughts expressed by a poetry writer. As a reviewer, I followed the line of thoughts, and surely, I found it interesting... Maybe we shall read more of this writer's thoughts...?

Review of Destiny

This flash, "Destiny", is a fine read because it shows a good relationship between father and son. When we look at this generation, we see many sons and daughters who want to be independent. They crave to want to do what they want; and since they know what they are doing, it is therefore a parent's duty is go along with what the children want...

A good read, Jacky; do let us read more of what you are writing...

Isn't it fun to have children? This is the idea I got reviewing, "What's Mine Is Mine". Parents do provide for their children, and take pride in treating them equally; and yet as portrayed in this little tale, the decision of children to do what they want to do... One just have to laugh... It was good of the writer to show us how parents made things possible for their children; and how surprising it was to realize their children do have other ideas...

Review of Gaining story

Is it wrong for a father to want to see his son gain weight? Absolutely, not. However... no I think I would leave it to the father to think that the encouragement he gave his son to eat more, and thereby, gain weight, is a good thing. I wonder if a father would stop for a tiny moment and realize that becoming "overweight" may mean a few problems for the son?????

Thanks to the writer of "How To Embrace Your House Ghost", I am now assured I can "embrace" my house ghost. Yes, I, too, have a house ghost...although mine just comes and goes, and vanishes the moment I look at (should I say her or him)??? I do believe I have not heard bells ringing as yet...

Write on...

I found this poem, "Fuel for the Fire" intriguing... It is a human story, a human tragedy, a human way to "softly murmured", "Some more fuel for the fire..." Was there forgiveness after all????

A good read, indeed...

Review of Living With RA

Reading "Living with RA" made me feel uneasy because this tale tells of a writer who seems to enjoy the "pains" of RA, which also gave the author the "strength" to write... I think it is wonderful when writers find a way to express their writing so that others would realize, too, that there is a way to write inspite of bodily pain... I salute this writer... may she/he continue to show readers/reviewers the way to "good write"...

The mystery of the "Teaser: The Murphy brothers' curse" took me in: I just love mysteries. Nevertheless, this tale of the two brothers, their "bad luck" and the curiosity of one brother's wife leaving as well as the other brother's girl disappearing seem the start of a mystery... and the mystery remains to be solved or will it be solved???? I salute the writer for creating such a mysterious tale ...

Review of Time

Frankly, "Time" seems to tell that there is change when one is caught in a time of "unchanged, unhindered" "inevitable cycle"... and we should therefore "seek, the clearer it becomes" "as nothing remains as it is." It is indeed a good thought...

Review of White Tiles

When the writer created "White Tiles", the intention most probably was to "show" the feelings that one experiences in times of aloneness or when the writer "shows" the many different ways when senses control the human brain, and results in the many ways we write... I believe the writer knows how to write...

The writer's tale, The Wonder of A Smile, reminded me when I first took my grandson to kindergarten. Although, no other child approached my grandson when he started to cry, I looked around and realized that all the other children were in tears as well, bawling the place down!!! I also noted that the mother "wasn't ready"... Sharing this experience is something writers do emphasize: the feeling of love; the sense of parting that both child and parent feel; the smile that tells of a love that exists between mother and child... To the author, here's hoping we shall read more of your work... Good wishes,

Review of My Search

To the writer of "My Search", I thank you for the clarification regarding "Krishna, Zoroaster, Buddha, Moses, Mohammad, the The Bab"!!! I do agree (and I quote you), "The differences in each relition arose from the different capacities of humanity in the ages in which they were revealed." Such a simple explanation; and the truth sets you free...

Let us hope that others have had the chance to read your piece; and that they, too, would believe the "differences".

All good wishes as you continue to write more...

"Write it right autobiography" began with some sadness and pity. Life began with a time of suffering and patience; of many numbers of insecurities and helplessness. However, the writing flowed quite nicely toward a beautiful life of marriage and children... and a happy, satisfactory good life...

I am amazed there are writers who can bring out the many good senses that fill lives; and this tale gives the meaningful thoughts that produced this piece of writing. May the writer continue to give us joy when we read and review...

Review of What Goes Around

The lesson of "What Goes Around" is quite clear: "that everyone's important, no one should be spurned". It is indeed amazing that writers find a way to express their thoughts and ideas in poems and stories, depicting the many faults, the multiple goodness, and the unfathomable endeavors that give meaningful studies of humans... Here's hoping the writer will continue to impress us with many more of her/his ideas/thoughts...

Review of What I Remember
Review by elephantsealer

"What I Remember" is one person's joy of remembering something that happened in the past. This short poem gives the reader a picture of someone who took the time to ask and was responded to with a willingness by another to be a part of a wedding. There is a neat little picture of a "happy bride" and a joyous "Grandfather-to-be" that becomes a "happy memory"... Here's hoping the writer would continue to write more happy memories...

"Why Am I Still Here?" is a poet's questions regarding the whys, and the hows of an existence. Definitely, these are questions that bother and bring more questions that cannot be answered. Until, however, when one settles down, when one decides to look for and find the answers to all the whys and the hows.

So settle down; rest your weary little head and endeavor to look inward, inside you; and there you would find the answers: it is not a burden to live and love one's children because that is why you are there; nor it is not a burden to take up space because you are created to fill up a space, to grace that space for the joy and happiness that you would bring into the lives of people around you; to care for the sick and the lonely and the old...

To the writer, let us hope that you will continue to grace the spaces of Writing.Com...
