My overall impression of your work: You have the basis of a good short story here. When I read this it felt more like I was reading a writing prompt than a poem. Perhaps you could clean up the grammar and submit it to one of the prompt contests?

Your spelling and grammar needed some work. I read quickly so I could easily overlook something. It read like a run on sentence.

My overall impression of your work: Sex addiction, or any addiction can be devastating. I am a peer support specialist by trade so I know all about addiction. I was actively addicted for 38 years and there are still times when I findf myself acting in a manner that I know is disease instead of recovery. When I do I have to get honest with myself and move on. Addiction is sneaky and subtle. I have learned that when I think I have it by the backside its got me by the throat. If I do the rest of the day today what I did yesterday, I think I will be sober tonight.

What I liked most about your article /poem was: I liked the look at this aspect of addiction which is so often overlooked.

My overall impression of your work: This seems to be the perfect motto for a writer. At times it does seem as if the rest of the world is asleep so we writers continue to do our thing. My overall impression of your work: I have always heard that anything worth having is worth working for. It sounds like your couple worked toward love but gave up and let it fall apart. Sometimes we have to be willing to carry the whole load when it comes to love. My recovery from drug addiction is much the same way. I wouldn't have it if I did not put forth a lot of effort. I think people sometimes develop a sense of entitlement. "You owe me" and the truth is that nobody owes anybody anything. We earn it or we don't have it.

My overall impression of your work: This always seemed like it would be a hard form to master but your poem seems spot on. I have had several head injuries resulting in traumatic brain injury so the area of my brain in charge of math is screwed up. That does not mean I fail to see good flow when it is so. Your poem flows well. I liked the topic as well.I work with homeless people and I think a lot of them could relate to the safety you discuss.

My overall impression of your work: I thought it was cute. As a man who grew up on a farm I know that rabbits would indeed be everywhere if there were a lot of them. They can be cute and cuddly but also erratic and uncontrollable.

My overall impression of your work: Some of my fondest childhood memories are of listening to the rain as it fell upon my tin roof. I lived in an old house built with a tin roof. It could be hotter than blazes in the summer and bitter cold in the winter but rain was always a symphony of God to me.

My overall impression of your work: The Renaissance had its share of pluses but it also had a lot of downsides. Slavery was acceptable then. Women were treated like children or property. Lives were hard. However the writing from that time period was exceptional. We will never see it again but as writers we can work toward a new Renaissance can't we?

My overall impression of your work: I remember well my first broken heart. I promised myself that I would never love anybody that way again and I successfully kept that promise. The problem was that doing so also prevented me from successfully having a relationship ever again. I was married twice after that but she always haunted me and made me a poor husband. Do yourself a favor and let it go. It isn't worth it.

My overall impression of your work: As a daddy myself I can appreciate this poem. It is very obvious that you love your dad very much. I became my son's dad when he was four. I had babysat him since birth and was both mom and dad to him. I asked his mom to allow me to claim paternity and he was my son. It takes a lot more than sperm to make a father. I know I was nowhere near perfect but my son was loved. Good job!

My overall impression of your work: I can see why this won second place. It is well written for prose and exclaims love for a mountain. I have felt that way about pieces of property. The land on which I grew up is now nothing but oil and gas production and reserved primarily as a place for people to run ATVs. But I am protective of that land and will always have a soft spot for it.

My overall impression of your work: I hate snow but you made it sound wonderful. I guess it does have its own beauty. I was forced to work in it when I was a child and learned really young to despise it. However there were a lot of good times in the snow as well. My overall impression of your work: There is definitely hope inn love. I can tell from this read that you have gone through a lot. You are a survivor and one who over comes. Don't let anybody take that away from you. Use your experiences to help others find their way. You'd be surprised how rewarding that is. Nothing you went through was useless. It made you who you are today and that person is worth loving.

Your spelling and grammar were good as far as I could tell. I read quickly so I could easily overlook something. However everything looked good to me.

What I liked most about your article /poem was: I liked the exploration and self-searching.

My overall impression of your work: I always hated waiting. My late ex-wife use to leave me waiting every day. One day I did some math and I came to the conclusion that she would leave me waiting about 17 solid years if I stayed with her. Then she filed for divorce and waiting was over. I find that God was using all that waiting to teach me patience. I still hate to wait but it is much more bearable now.

My overall impression of your work: I don't know how many times my mother told me to listen to the silence and embrace the quiet when I was trying to go to sleep as a child. This little ditty would be perfect to read to a child trying to sleep. I have no children now as my youngest is 18 and my oldest has grandchildren of his own. (I was blamed for another child when I was young and I've always sort of claimed him even though he wasn't mine.) I love children. This new generation has really impressed me. I think our generation raised them right!

My overall impression of your work: Fear of change keeps a lot of people paralyzed. As a peer recovery coach/peer support specialist my biggest obstacle is getting clients to embrace change. So often people will trade the release of freedom for the familiarity of pain. I was one of those for over 30 years. I was addicted and knew life clean would be infinitely better but the fear of change held me prisoner. Change is change. It's usually growth.

My overall impression of your work: This poem expresses gratitude to our Creator for making such a beautiful creation. How can anybody think this is all pure happenstance? I don't believe in accidents or coincidences. I, like you, believe in Providence. You may want to check out the Christian Blog Forum and blog each day about our Creator.
