My beautiful world is a paradise. Use this line in your Blog entry today.

I don't know that I would call my world a paradise. I'd say it's a war zone. Whether people realize it or not there is a war going on. It's not a war between Whites and Blacks. It's not a war between police and the poor as many seem to believe. It is not a war between injustice and justice. It is a war between God and evil. Jesus Christ died to win the war but even though he has long since been defeated the enemy fights on. All one has to do is look around. America is a battleground right now. People are rioting and spreading Corona virus everywhere because they prioritize their "rights" above everybody else's health. Those rioters are bringing the country toward exactly what they say they are trying to avoid: anarchy or a military crackdown. It's time for people to quit trying to force their will and start voting. You think a convict got a bad rap? Okay, then get a law degree and defend them! If you want to change the law, get a law degree and become one of the judges who can change the law or go into politics and became a legislator! Rioting is a sign of immaturity and stupidity. You don't attract flies by putting out vinegar. We understand your angry but breaking the law is no way to change the law. Quit being the problem and become the solution.

Image for a blog forum Prompt: "David said "Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness." Psalm 141: 5 (New Living Translation)

What do you suppose he meant by that?"

I would have to do some research to find out what the historical background of this psalm is but I believe from reading the context I believe he is saying that others can usually see us going astray long before we do. It is good to listen to the correction of godly people and not get our backs all up in the air "because they are judging us."

I have practiced examining myself when somebody says I am screwing up for years. I often find they are correct.

The tour guide is so excited to have such a large group. And there's a lot of interesting places along our ride. Discuss what you've seen and what you liked thus far in Australia..

Perth looks like a beautiful city! I also don't know what kind of lizards those are but I want a pet one! I had a lizard once. It was an African variety that I don't remember and even if I did I could not pronounce or spell. Octo something. He was about 18 inches long. I had to keep a heat lamp on him and never give him water. He got his water from his surroundings and food. The pet store told me to never water him or it would kill him. I never did and he lived eight years before dying of old age.

Blog City image small Prompt: "So here it is for tonight instead. This article is interesting. https://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/global-warming-and-hurricanes/

Do you think storms are stonger or weaker than they were? What about where you live are there more or less storms?"

I have to follow the research and the research seems to indicate that the strength of the storms is about the same but the frequency has increased. It is not unusual to have 15-17 tropical waves per year, many of which dissipate. Recently they are more likely to develop. I believe global warming is an issue but one predicted by prophecy long ago.

We found this: "It is so beautiful the way you all reveal your real selves!

The things I learn are invaluable every time we talk!

Sharing the greats of your heavens, the hell of your hells!

Your stories are mesmerzing, the way you walk your walk!"

What do you suppose the poet means?

It seems to me the poet is complimenting everybody on WDC. I have to agree. I started Space Blog because I felt there was a lot of talent on WDC and I wanted to highlight that talent. I also wanted to encourage reviews. Reviews, honest critique if we have thick enough skin, can help us grow as writers. I am a student in seminary and I depend on the professionals at the writing lab there. So far they have never steered me wrong. If I make the changes they suggest I usually get A pluses on my assignments. This poet is reaching out to the authors here on Writing.com and encouraging them to keep on writing.

Created by Sharmelle's Expressions Prompt: "The disciples went and woke him up, shouting "Master, Master, we're going to drown. When Jesus woke up He rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm." Luke 8:24

Have you ever felt like Jesus was asleep? How did you wake him?"

I have had a lot of times when I felt Jesus had gone to sleep. This pandemic that keeps raging on and on is one such time. It makes me wonder at times what God is doing. At the same time, I know what the Bible's definition of faith is. It says "Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Heb 11:6

This tells me that even though the virus seems to have the upper hand, that God is still in control. What we see going on before our very eyes is the fulfillment of prophecy. When the prophecy is completely fulfilled this will stop. I trust God to get me through the waves. If the storm kills me I get to go be with Him so it is a win-win situation for me. I have no fear. Do I take precautions? Yes. I do that to protect others. I may not contract the virus but I could become a carrier. I do not want anybody to get sick or die because I refused to wear a mask. So I wear one. I am not afraid of anything though because Jesus is with me.

An image for the forum Today we were cruising the galaxy, right before the captain came down with space sickness and gave away a premium upgrade, and we came upon the star

There was a lovely planet circling the star:

~~Image #1935586 Sharing Restricted~~

On that planet one of the landing crew found "A piece of melody blends gently with the night,
carrying something, I didn't recognize."

Have you ever had an experience like this? Tell us about it.

I've had a few nights like that. I awaken to find myself confronted by something I did not recognize. One night I woke up to find a woman standing over my bed. She was trying to steal my computer. At the time I was not a Christian so I propositioned her. I told her that I was going to pretend I knew her and that she could deal with the police or deal with me. She said "Call the police."

No. I actually chased her out of my house with her carrying my computer. I tackled her in the yard just as a police officer came around the corner. He started to arrest me for assault but I told him to turn the computer on. My picture was on the computer so he took her to jail. She went to prison for attempted burglary.

Two of your links don't work! However I've always wanted to see the outback. I hear tales about it and I imagine it is one of the most famous places in Australia if not the most famous.

This image made by Sharmelle's Expressions. I have not answers today. I was hoping maybe somebody else could give me some insight. I live at the West Virginia Veterans Home where I also serve as chaplain. I watch these guys as they stand around in the hallways professing to know Jesus and doing the right things to turn around a few minutes later and come across a blue streak of profanity. Or they will do all the right things but absolutely refuse to go to chapel services. I don't understand it.

A big thank you to Flights of Fantasy Image Shoppe for the moving images! Today crusing through the galaxy, on the last watch, the captain found a shining star.

The planet is:
It’s just indifferent I’d say.  (E)
When words are left unspoken because you fear the outcome of a situation.
#2228483 by Scarlett Moon

where the author asks "What if these words could change everything right away?"

What do you think? Can words change everything right away?

I think words have a lot of power. They have the power to build and the power to destroy. They have the power to fly and to swim. They have the power to walk and to run. They have to power to heal and the power to kill. They have tremendous power. I try to choose my words carefully and if I have nothing good to say I would prefer to say nothing. Words have tremendous power.

Created by the talented [Link To User poulynoe] Prompt: "The Lord appeared to us in the past saying:

I have loved you with an everlasting love,
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jer. 31:3

How is this true for you today?"

It is true for me because I am still above the dirt. I look back on my life each day and realize the accidents that I have been in and walked away from when in fact they should have killed me. I consider all the illnesses that I have had, including a 90% blockage of the left aorta AKA "the widowmaker" and walked away. I consider the overdoses I have taken of alcohol and drugs and walked away. I've had my kidney on the verge of rupturing and doctors scratching their heads wondering why I wasn't dead. I walked away. God has blessed me tremendously. Now I am a seminary student making good grades. He continues to bless me.

{image:image:2003087-20.5%} 30 day prompt.
From your morning stop at the outback outpost of Manguri, you’ll venture into the weird and wonderful opal mining township of Coober Pedy, where more than half of the residents live underground. Here, you’ll enjoy a day of discovery, and a gourmet lunch in the most unique of locations: underground. Dinner is served back on the train where you can enjoy a nightcap as your journey continues.

We'e going to get dirty today. But maybe we'll score an opal.

Let your imagination take you wherever.

Even though I am traveling the Outback of Australia my mind is still firmly here at home. I love my jobs and dedicate a lot of my time to them. Regardless where I roam my mind is on work and school.

Opal mining, on the other hand, could take my mind completely off of those things. There be money in opals and I like money. In fact, I just bought a jewel of sorts last night. I bought a guitar off of a friend. He has a ukulele that I am also going to try to buy. Then my project will be learning to play them. I want to play them for chapel. My goals are simple. I want to keep them that way.

Blog City image small "Prompt: Different people keep the world moving. Use this in your Blog entry today."

I don't know that I totally agree with that. I believe different people can change the world but I don't believe they keep it moving. I believe one Person keeps the world moving and that is Jesus Christ.

I am now officially what I have wanted to be for a huge part of my life. I am now a mental health therapist by license and by trade. As such I would say there is no personality that I don't find fascinating. After all, personalities are what I work with. I find them all fascinating. I figure out what makes people behave the way they do. Usually, I find it is the past which strongly influences the present. We react the way we do because it is a learned behavior. Anything we learned we can unlearn.

says "It's raining today. Better for the garden, it's been very dry lately. I love the sound of rain, on the rooftop, on the window, on the tiles in the street. It's soothing and comforting."

Write about a rainy afternoon. What do you like to do with rainy days?

On rainy afternoons I like to nap like anybody else. If it isn't flashing lightning I will go out and sit in the patio. The patio has rocking chairs and a metal roof. So on a rainy day, it's a great place to sit and meditate. Of course, I am busy a lot of rainy days. I now have licenses to do therapy with three mental health organizations and I am a master's degree student at Regent University. I spend a lot of my time doing research for papers and reports. I've become quite adept at Turabian format and know how to do the research now. It took a while to learn it but I've gotten all As so far this term. I got an A-minus in two of my classes and I have a solid A in the third right now. I only have two more major assignments to get back but I am confident they will both be A work as well. So rainy day or otherwise, I work usually. My classmates all are gunning for me. I usually get my work turned in early and the professor usually gives me extra credit. However many points I get in extra credit set the grading curve. I have a target on my back so I have to keep moving. No time to stop and listen to the rain!

Image #2225755 over display limit. -?- Prompt: "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you..."

How is Holy Spirit our Advocate?"

This question may seem a little tough but part of the reason for this forum is Bible study. I asked in the prompt how Holy Spirit is our advocate. Does Hebrews not say that Jesus is our High Priest (Advocate). How then does Holy Spirit serve that same function?
A few of the verses which show that Holy Spirit does serve in this capacity are :

“There is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.” I Tim. 2:5
“Who also maketh intercession for us׳ “Romans 8:34
“We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ.” I John 2:1

Holy Spirit lives in the believer's heart. Spurr says that many of us pray and use the words “In Jesus’s name” without stopping to think of the power and reality behind doing so. Spurr says this is unwise of us because we should never use ancient words without knowing their meaning. {3) In Jesus’s name activates the power of Holy Spirit so that Holy Spirit advocates or acts in our behalf. There is much, much power in Jesus’s name because of it activating Holy Spirit who is the power of God. This same power created and sustains the universe. All the other power in the universe combined is not stronger than this power source because they all come from this source. They depend on Holy Spirit for existence. When I say Holy Spirit is our advocate I mean that we have the power of God at our disposal. He serves us and helps us. He is our advocate. Spurr says we should never take this power for granted or discuss it glibly. {4} Spurr says “Not until these loose ideas are dissolved and replaced by some of the sternness which attaches to the idea of holiness and law, will there emerge a doctrine of the Divine Fatherhood worthy to be held.”
We must be more respectful and in awe of our Advocate. He weilds great power and when we invoke Jesus’s name we invoke that power.

I look out and see the sunshine chase the clouds away. I no longer want to hide in the dark but survive.
Use this line in your Blog entry today.

This is a very healthy attitude to have. Hiding in the dark doesn't do a thing for us but make us more depressed than we already are. Facing reality with a will to live gives us a little hope and it gives us a future.

Image #2225669 over display limit. -?- Prompt: Is it alright to ask God, "Why have you forgotten me?"

I think we all have times when we feel forgotten. And yes, it is alright to ask God why He has forgotten us. The problem is that if God has forgotten us it is due to sin and God does not sin. We do. We must confess our sins. There is also another possibility. God may be testing our faith. After all, faith is the evidence of things not seen. God knows our faith. He wants us to know our faith.
