For the past almost 3 1/2 months I have been feeling these things. I think the only way I am going be able to move on is if another man comes along to rescue my broken heart. This must of been what you felt too. If only the world weren't full of people that can hurt others.

I can definately relate to this piece 100%! I feel as though it was meant for me.
Emotional Impact:
The guy that I recently broke up with played me for a fool and I still feel like a fool. I was played for a fool by a fool. I keep thinking to myself what could have I have done differently. I guess there is really no answer to that question. With what he did, I feel like my heart broke into a million pieces, and I feel like these will be permanent scars that will sit with me for the rest of my life. I can tell by this poem that either you or someone close to you got burned pretty bad too.

Cancer is an ugly disease. That's one of my wishes too, that all disease would be erradicated, not just for children, but for adults too.

Emotional Impact:
I too, have lost family members near and dear to me. I lost my grandparents within 13 days of each other back in 2003. You never get over it completely. Grandma had a host of health problems that caused every organ in her body to shut down and her fluids turn to acid, she passed rather quickly. Then my grandfather had a stroke a day or two after grandma passed. He went quickly too. I was devastated. It's like having the rug pulled out from under you. But like you said, the human spirit is very resiliant like that, and that's how I was.

It looks like your son has inherited your penmanship. This is such a sad poem. I feel for him. I don't know what I would do if I lost one of my sisters. I am sorry for both of you, that you had to go through this heart-wrenching ordeal no one should go through.

What a great contest! I will have to see if I can come up with anything "dark" for this. I love the banner at the top, it has great color and character. I only found one typo; at the introduction you have "your", it should be "you're" or "you are". Just thought that I should point that out to you. I really enjoyed reading your journals about Fred. He is a very amusing animal. I love his reactions that he has. My cat likes to watch tv too. He likes the animated "Charlottes Web"......I think that it's the animal sounds that he's attracted too. It sounds like you either live in a country or wooded area. Another amusing story about Fred! My cat does some funny things too. My Max gets into those running fits too, mostly at night, but sometimes during the day too. He doesn't like to come in contact either, but he likes to watch me take a shower, which to me is kind of strange. Looks like I have a 'Peeping Tom' in my house, lol! Again, great story!
