The author successfully hook the reader with the opening scene of the story. The author has beautifully portrayed the life of the people and the culture they followed. The dialogues in this story will help the reader to understand more about the story-line and the in depth meaning the theme of the story coveys. The shift in the time travel takes not only the characters, but also the readers.

An emotionally poignant story that could bring tears to a reader and it made my eyes filled with tears. The author has brought out the meaning of the word 'spring' sharply that brims with too many meanings. In this story, the author has successfully portrayed the picture of a happy family that cherished moments in their lives, and a lonely woman who waits patiently to get back her husband and child for a decent burial. As a reader, I could understand the shades of being humane and how life make us realize its true meaning at odd circumstances.

The author has distinctly described different layers of depression that would show a different face every time. Without much effort, the face will wear a different mask bringing out the different personality that the person may not want to show to people around them.

As a reader, I could relate myself with whatever the author has described. Going through and getting out of depression to be a normal person again, really requires strong mental support both from the family and the people around the person.

The simple verses flow through the thought process of the author like a smooth stream reaching a different level in the succeeding lines/paragraphs.

The author has brought back to me as a reader, memories about watching gold fish along with my toddler daughter. As a reader, I am virtually carried away watching the last autumn leaf dance. It made my heart dance along with its swirl bringing in notes of melody unheard for a while at my heart. Though the revised write-up introduces the reader to the background story of those beautiful thoughts, as a reader I was captured by the flow in the draft. The ideas flow like a smooth stream and as a reader I could feel gliding through words that tell me the story of a mother and her child. Leaving behind a life that could provide her days of love and sun shine, the young mother is left inside the tomb along with her baby boy. Unknowing heaviness occupied my mind as I read through the poem. Though in simple verse, the author has loaded the poem with thoughts heavy and unbroken. The poem just made me remember my grand-mother who died with her unborn infant and left the world with unfulfilled wishes of bringing up her daughter, my mother, who is now in her seventies.

I will be very happy if this helped you to get the scholarship.

Growing up, I have faced struggles financially. Along with my twin brother, though a single parent, my mother gave us the best.
This scholarship will give me the opportunity to move ahead in my studies with college education. This will not only help me advance in life, but also to be the first to earn a college degree in my family.
As a child, during my 1st and 2nd grade years, I struggled to read until I discovered Dr. Seuss. (some more sentences can be added here. Write how Dr. Seuss influenced you and helped you to improve your reading skills).
Fast forward till my senior year at school, I developed an insatiable love for classic literature. English has been the most stable and constant thing in my life. I felt content and happy whenever I was studying or reading literature.
Reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee sharpened my love for classic literature. Her ability to merge readers with her writings showed ways for better writing, and it also inspired me to write more.
Leonardo Da Vinci received no formal education beyond basic reading, writing and arithmetic, yet he achieved many great things in his life. Leonardo is a great inspiration to me and I believe that by furthering my education I can also aspire to do great things.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your Great-Grandpa. Your writing brought back to me, my yearning to meet my grand mother who died leaving behind her toddler (my mother). My memories of living with my grand parents (my father's parents) are still in my memory. By living in a nuclear family we are denying that comfort to our children.
