A nice story segment. The characters were believable and compelling. Focusing on the romantic aspects instead of the carnal, lustful sex that many "love" stories fall prey to was a nice relief. Giving the characters flaws (getting irritated and smoking) makes them more human. I enjoyed reading this.

An interesting short story. Who are Sid, Zach and Freddy? I noticed you said that you will continue this story, good, I would like to read more. Describing the demon might add impact, or leaving it all to the reader to imagine could work well too. The open ending leaves the reader wanting more story. I enjoyed this. Good job.

An intriguing short story. A few new twists on the traditional vampire. The almost stream of consciousness narrative pulls the reader into the mind of the vampire telling the story. The characters were compelling. Leaving the question of do they die unanswered making the reader figure it out themselves is something I appreciate. I enjoyed reading this story.

Review of The Bad Oxen

A very entertaining little poem. I enjoyed the almost nursery rhyme flow. The imagery of the absurd scenario brought a smile to my face. It may have been a good thing that she is always late. I found the entire story humorous and liked that he even got away. I enjoyed this poem.

A very poignant poem. It is true, that so many important things are taken for granted. It is sad that one has to wait until they are advanced in years before realizing the importance of those things mentioned in your poem. I found the flow easy to follow. The imagery effectively illustrates the regret about waiting until it is possibly too late. I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing this insight, it may help some people learn this life lesson earlier in life.

Review of Life

An interesting, brief view of life and death. The imagery of the breath bringing both life and death was poignant and was illustrative of how easily and quickly life can pass. I found myself caught up easily with the flow. I enjoyed reading this poem.

Quite an intense character. He is a likeable "villain". I find him intriguing, I would read his story. I find it interesting that he only loves Egypt and Egyptian things considering his mom was Greek. His life seemed to be destined to be dark from the beginning. He is a very compelling character.

Review of The Letter

Quite a "poison pan" of a poem. Giving voice to many others that have suffered at the whims of someone else's inconsiderate, thoughtless actions. Your anger and frustration was clear in every word. The flow carries the reader along easily. I am glad you finally got to be able to breathe cleanly again. Good job.

Review of Corvus Corax

Both are wonderful examples of haiku. The imagery was so vivid in such a short form, the reader can almost visualize the raven. I like how you titled it with the scientific name for the raven. You managed to get a lot of impact is such a limited format.I enjoyed reading this selection.

Review of Hour Glass

This Haiku effectively captures the idea that life is made of the grains of our days. It evokes feelings of both hope and hopelessness. Hope that you can shape your own "sandy hill" and hopeless in that there is nothing to be done to stem the flow of each grain of sand. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of NOVEMBER HAIKUS

They each are great examples of haiku. You captured several beautiful images in such short pieces. Autumn is a beautiful season, it is my favorite season. Five separate haiku poems with one thread that connects them. I really enjoyed reading these. Write on.

Review of High Occupancy

An interesting short story. Curiosity is maintained through the entire piece. It is not relieved, even in the end. I like that the Mayor was trying to be a pervert and be respectful despite his obvious lust for the aide. An almost humorous name for the syndrome. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Want some?

A nice and light essay. It showcases your love of cooking and the importance it plays in your life. Talking about how it brings you joy to cook and watch your loved ones enjoy it was a nice personal touch. Closing on another happy personal note was a perfect way to end it. I enjoyed reading it.

A beautifully romantic poem. The imagery of the violinist and violist falling in love during the piece very illustrative of how love can happen anyplace at anytime. I like how you show appreciation for the violist, a much maligned musician. The flow was very fitting and was easy to follow for the entire piece. The poem ended with the finality of the song. I enjoyed reading this.

This is such an adorable meet story. I like how you did not even reveal the gender or name of your protagonist until the last line. It was a cute love story without being corny. Spending all that time on the character development payed off, it makes the reader feeling sympathy for her and like you know this girl. I enjoyed reading this.

A very dramatic poem. I can clearly see why it was awarded a blue ribbon. The dying man reflecting on the the things he took for granted and did not give enough attention to was a profound statement about what is important in life. The imagery fully illustrated the starkness and solitude of winter on the mountain. I enjoyed reading this poem.

Review of Ricky
Review by sadorose
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
An interesting short story. Ricky was intriguing, the reader is never really sure what or who he is, or even if he exists. The reader is left wondering if Laura went insane, or if the bird actually did save her. I liked how you didn't even explain if he was having an affair, engaging the reader to work these questions out. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Caffeine

Short, sweet and too the point. I can almost hear this very refrain everyday in any setting. Such a punch in such a short poem. It made me smile. I like both tea and coffee, in that order. The simplicity of the message did not need elaboration or imagery. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of The WISHING WELL
Review by sadorose

A interesting poem. The short lines made the flow just pick the reader up and carry them through the entire poem. The imagery of various ways wishes can come true was beautiful. The message of that wishes are not always obvious when they are granted. I enjoyed reading this.

A very entertaining and informative quiz. I enjoyed taking it. I did do better than I expected to, which is always a plus. I liked that I could go and learn the correct answers, that was very helpful. I learned quite a bit on perspective. I would recommend this quiz to anyone.

Review of Adversity
Review by sadorose
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
A beautiful example of the Lune form. I liked how you had two messages in this poem. The first one was about just loving someone passionately and purely. The second one was about racism, and how it does not belong in love. I liked the line, "Color coded sin." I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Be My Eyes
Review by sadorose

A unique take of a love poem. Instead of a romantic love, you show a need and a love between an author and readers. I like how you have him begging the reader to love them, while not seeming desperate. The imagery was fun and illustrated the universal desire to be wanted/needed in some way. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of FREEDOM

A dramatic opening gambit. The characters are believable. You allow us to feel the anger for the boys the entire chapter. I am glad you had them make good their escape in the first chapter. You keep the reader curious to how much money Tom managed to save. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Sarah McVeigh
Review by sadorose
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
An amusing poem. Starting each section by repeating a pattern of the lines gives it an almost chant or songlike quality. Poor Sarah McVeigh, losing her reputation and her father in one fell swoop. The flow easily pulled me along the entire journey of the poem. I enjoyed reading this.

An amusing short story. Those are some very strong leaves, if only some of them succeed in knocking over a cup of coffee.I loved how you ended it by not ending it, but instead just asking a question. I hope she managed to get her keyboard fixed. I enjoyed reading this.
