The fondness and your admiration of your friend, John Yarber is clear and in every letter. Friendship like that brings joy to my heart. This poem brought a smile to my face, just for the glowing way you talk about John. I almost feel like I did meet him. I enjoyed reading this.

A very engaging story. I like how you showed the struggles of being a teenager that is different a universal struggle. Having her friends do the cruel thing made me angry on her behalf, but then you redeemed them and gave it a happy ending. I enjoyed this story.

Review of My Love My All

A lovely sonnet. The rhymes were natural and worked well. This poem shows your love of the subject very strongly. It engenders feelings in the reader, me at least, of hoping the love is reciprocal. The flow just easily carried me along. I really enjoyed this.

What a lovely ode to the love of your life. I am happy that you found each other again and are happily sharing your lives. Parents can be blind for sure. The flow just picked me up easily and carried me through the entire poem. I really enjoyed reading this.

Review of MEMORIES

Max, that poem was so raw and beautiful. The heartfelt conversation with Mittens was so deeply personal I almost felt like I was intruding. I am so very sorry for your loss and that you had to go through that. Your love for her shows through the pain you expose. Thank you for sharing this.

An amusing and patriotic poem. The images of the flags was fun and drove the patriotic message home. The jaunty flow carried me along easily through the entire piece. "Old Uncle Fred" seemed quite a character. I really enjoyed reading this piece. It was truly "short and sweet."

An engaging story. I liked how you ended it right at a critical part. It leaves the reader wanting more. It leaves one unanswered question hanging heavily in the air, the question of what happens to Silas. I like how it kinds of shows that you get what you pay for. I really enjoyed this.

Review of Cry Sanctuary!

This poem has a lot of very dramatic, dark and rich imagery. It pulls you along through the entire poem. If I am correct, and this is about being "reborn" everyday with a new start, very well done. I like that the drama of the nightly change is so well illustrated. I enjoyed reading this.

Review of Saving You

A very powerful poem. This illustrates the importance of being there for someone you care about. The love you feel for this person shines through strong and bright. I hope your friend/lover/relative (whoever it was since that type of love can be for any of those.) got through their difficulty. I really enjoyed reading this.

A very enjoyable way to learn the seven basic plots. I found them entertaining and enlightening. The limericks were each very fun. I enjoyed how you connected the last two plots with the Unicorn King from his spiritual fall (turning knaves into slaves) to his redemption by Miss Meadowlark. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

Review of Logic

What an amusing short story. It perfectly captured in insane strangeness of dreams. The randomness of the last line, "My guess...double Jalapeño pizza…?” was a perfect way to end it. It brought a smile to my face with that humorous ending. I really enjoyed this.

A good first chapter for a children's story. I liked how your characters' names had to do with their father's profession. It makes for amusement to a child while helping them remember the name. The story and characters were engaging.I also like how you start the story like you and the reader are conspiring on a secret that has to be kept from "older people". I really enjoyed this first chapter.

The loss of happiness is evident in this poem. I hope you have found happiness again. I like how you threaded each section together with the repetitive line of "My, oh my". Personifying happiness by having it leave a note and not change its mind worked well in showing that there is a hole where happiness used to reside. I enjoyed this.

A fun little poem. It made bowling seem exciting. The flow just picked me up and carried me through the entire piece. The imagery of the "two handed bowler" made it real. It makes sports accessible to people not really interested in sports. I enjoyed reading this.

A wonderful "storoem". The message of how love can make even a homely thing beautiful. The tree was not physically transformed, but it was transformed in the family's eyes through the eyes of the daughter. The emotional ending brought a smile to my face. I really enjoyed reading this a lot.

Workplace romance can be wrought with uncertainty. The flow was easy to go along with. Noticing the little things about a person, like her "peachy business outfit." is adorably romantic. Holding even a small friendly greeting to your heart is very sweet. I enjoyed reading this.

A beautiful scene. The reader is nearly transported next to the "writer". This scene is played out in many a cafe, around the world. This engenders a feeling of a peaceful creative time. In that regard, this scene is truly universal. I enjoyed reading this. Good job.

An intriguing short story. I found the main character very engaging. The ending resolved everything nicely, but not too neatly. I am not sure what a esper is, but it sounds formidable and grotesque. I really enjoyed reading this short story. I liked how you had him use aura to finish the battle.

Review of The Blues

This conversation could be between any two girlfriends or sisters. I like how you get so much story with just dialogue. The fun banter kept me smiling through the entire story. I enjoyed the turn it took in the end when it became about pizza and she got the message and gave her support of getting the turquoise.

A nice ballad type poem. I like how you tied each section with the refrain, "Wild Bill". You effectively paid tribute to the life of a legend. The reverence for Wild Bill shows through in each line. The reader gets to know the man through this piece. I really enjoyed reading this.

Review of sacrifice
Review by sadorose

A dramatic poem about personal sacrifice. You used the opening line quote as a great springboard into the rest of the poem. My favorite section, "but sacrifice means that the giver gets more than she gave, and our bird found it true because she loved and served, she was always adored though her feathers were windless, she felt that she soared though she was imprisoned, dreams found the locked door and finally pushed their way through" was just a beautiful image.

Review of hour glass

A nice poem. The imagery of the sand falling through the hour glass was well executed. There is a feeling of friendship, and there is also a little bit of a romantic felling? The flow just picked me up and carried me through the poem. I really enjoyed reading this.

An interesting short story/ fanfiction. I am not familiar with the source story, but that did not take away from this story at all. If I had any criticism, it would be your font size might be hard for some readers. I found this story engaging. I really enjoyed reading this.

Very intense poem. It reveals a deeply personal struggle, that many people have had their own versions of. This poem gives them a voice, and strength to move on. This insight into your struggle makes others feel less alone, and hopefully helps you feel less alone. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading this.
