My impression of this item was: This is a poem about love. Love is a dangerous thing when it is misunderstood and misapplied. The best definition I ever heard of love is doing the next right thing for the next right reason. So many in our culture believe that love is something you wear like a coat. Then when it gets old you dispose of it. That is not love. Love is fully committed and never backs out. Love cannot be offended and keeps no record of wrongs.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem based on Alice in Wonderland. Alice knows the right choice but cannot get the colors to cooperate. She knows that green is the color that will give her the proper outlook. It reminds me of my dad driving to my grandmother's in the winter time. There was a huge mud puddle in the road. It would freeze solid. The only thing a driver could do was get in a rut, hit the throttle, and keep going. This poem reminds me of choosing the right rut!

My impression of this item was: This is an essay about fibromyalgia, from which the author's wife suffers. Fibromyalgia is a terrible condition. I tend to believe that you are correct; it is a demon. I have a friend who has fibromyalgia. She suffers greatly with it as well. I will keep her in prayer.

My impression of this item was: This poem is the perfect description of the fantasy that many call "love". The poem speaks realistically of love being painful as it often is. Love is sacrifice. Love does not keep a record of the things done to it. It has no remorse and no resentments. All too often in society love is thought of as walking off into a fairy tale and living happily ever after. This poem says this is not the case. Love is an action and a deliberate sacrifice.

My impression of this item was: This is a romantic poem about falling in love with the perfect somebody that we all fantasize about. I do not recall the title but there was a song once about a man who fell in love with a woman who was anything but the perfect woman his mind had envisioned years before. Your poem reminds me of that song. You speak of the person of your dreams as only existing in your mind and wish they could become real so you could touch them. Good job!

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about a man's faith in his creator. Some fools would argue that there is no Creator and that everything that exists came about because some infinitesimally small thing called a singularity exploded. Yes. I know. Believing that takes a lot of faith and a willingness to ignore common sense. Scientists seem to be replenished with such willingness.

Your poem expresses the truth as I believe it and the only truth that makes sense to me.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about a person who lost their way and fell into the debauchery of the world; drugs, sex, etc. The poem tells of the mess the world became and the lost feeling of being there. In the end the person is saved.

My impression of this item was: You confused me for a moment with this one. The woman in this one seems almost reluctant. When I read it I was left with the impression that it was a pedophile hunting a reluctant child. Then the woman seems to be somewhat compliant although she seems to feel trapped.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about a lonely homeless woman who gives what little she has to feed the birds. It tells how the birds seem to be friendly and close as long as she has something to give. Then when she is out they abandon her. Humans can be this way. Friends seem to come out of nowhere when you have plenty but are gone when you run out.

My impression of this item was: This is a poem about the author's desire to meet a demigod. While I do not hold to these beliefs, I respect them and can relate to them. I am a Christian and the God I worship lives within me. There are times when I cannot sense His presence and I long to do so. The author in this poem longs to meet the deity they trust and be led by that deity.

My impression of this item was: This is a beautiful poem about a maple tree going through its life cycle. The poem starts with the tree waking up in the morning and goes on to tell of the cycle through the seasons. I love the rhyme and the picture you painted is gorgeous.

This is a poem about anger. The poet describes anger as a sucking pit. This is accurate. The main thing to remember is that short term anger is healthy. Long term anger is like cancer. It doesn't hurt the one we are angry with. It hurts us.

My impression of this item was: This poem is a metaphor for a very toxic relationship. It sounds like the author needs to make some hard choices: 1) Move on or 2) stay in the relationship and continue to be tormented. These choices are not easy to make.
