She is sitting alone at the mall. She watches those around her. Some are children and adults.
Each has his own story just like the girl.

The piece begins to move to a more somber mood.
The woman alone is upset and there is a young man walking by talking on the phone.

Instinctively you know the upset woman and the walking guy belong together. A silly fight has brought them to this point.

What will it take for them to put aside the anger and embrace each other with forgiveness.

From the last line, it shows how much he loves her:
Then there's the man who waits for you
Even when all his hope is gone

Thank you for sharing.

This is a beautiful prayer.

Bringing warmth and hope for peace.

We have to pray to Him and know that he will answer.
He works on His own time.

This piece addresses the chaos we deal with daily.

It asks that He brings light to overcome the darkness that sometimes surrounds us.

Notice, the positive thoughts.

Notice, the prayer is humble and moving.

Notice, the prayer asks for His guiding light.

Thank you for sharing this and caring about your fellow man.

She was in her sleeping bed, as he called it, looking different.

Still he loved her.

It would be his turn soon to view her.

Being young, it seems this character doesn't quite understand the finality of the situation.

He moves forward, bends to kiss her goodbye and places his teddy bear in her casket.

His final thoughts is his mommy is gone.

Sad piece.

She has to accept the fact it's over.

She doesn't want to hear those love songs because they simply aren't true.

She has cried and be disappointed in her man.

He has done things that have hurt her and made their relationship fall apart.

She knows, words won't fix anything.

They won't change anything either.

She simply can't trust him ever again.

She has to take charge of her life and find a better way.

After reading the other piece it is obvious the couple doesn't like mail.

This one is about a piece of mail that absolutely terrified them.

Each again refusing to open it because they know what is in it.

There it sat.

Now it was time to decide who would do the talking as it was delivered to the family member.

Actually, most parent can relate to this situation.

It's like the floor fell away from their feet.

Suspended in midair were they when the subject arrives.

Full of excitement was she.

Full of dread was mom and pop.

Thank you for the laughs.

As we all know there are little things in marriages that might spark a spat.

Here it's the electric bill.

I love the was this story develops.

Picture a single bill same place for days.

Neither partner wanted to open it to see how big it was.

Along with that was a bottle of wine waiting as well.

For three days they would come and dare each other to open the bill; hence the wine never was opened.

I laughed at this silly thing.

Thinking how each one was as stubborn as the other.

The ironic part is, it hot like 105 degrees.

They both know they need to turn up the cooler but are afraid of the bill.

Good job, real feel
Thank you for the laughs.

Two doctors discuss the patient behind the two way mirror.

This man is suspected of killing his wife with a knife.

They had physical evidence but they needed a diagnosis.

One doctor thinks the prisoner is playing a game.

The other doctor isn't so sure of that.

They are running out of time before court.

Finally a rather frightening reaction came from the other side of the mirror.

Could they be dealing with a split personality?

Maybe it is a good job of acting?

Thank you for sharing.
The story came together well.
Ending came as a surprise.

It was a group on vacation and the character wasn't all the horse smart.

Climbing upon the horse didn't seem to big a deal.

The horse was a bit of a challenge as they went along.

Taking our character out of the herd and getting him slammed against a tree and landed in a muddy place was not good.

Well, that ticked off our character. He had had it.

Time to tell off the horse.

So, picture if you will, a muddy rider having a heart to heart talk with a horse.

After that talk the horse had respect for the character and vice versa.

Thank you for sharing.

A young man is visited by an old school mate this one evening.

They talked like old times.

Teased each other a bit.

Our character is concerned about the friend and how he is doing.

The friend says he likes where he is and not to worry.

It is sad that the friends parents couldn't be here tonight.

This night gave him a bit of closer.

As they walked the old halls it became time for him to go.

Good ending but sad.

Thank you for sharing.

He was alone and in the middle of going through another persons home.

It had been abandoned long ago.

He thinks he has found some coffee. What a treat.

Even sweet sugar and milk brought a sense of normalcy.

Then a loud bang sent him outside to check the noise.

It turned out to be a dog stealing his jerky.

Apparently one of the few remaining creatures residing in the city.

Will our world really come to that?

Our author brings us a glimpse of nature this evening.

An ordinary dandelion that seems to go unnoticed for it's simplicity and beauty.

Remember blowing all the little blossoms around when young?

Adults consider them a weed and should be done away with.

Usually, if one is seen in the yard, it's time to mow.

Our author is reflecting on how despite their beauty and innocence, they are less than desirable.

Unfortunately our character seems to identify with the dandelion.

What ever good, beauty, compassion shown is overlooked.

Thank you for sharing.

She was confused with her situation.

Then she quickly understood.

She is a wife and mother.

The relationship has gone on for a while.

They created a foundation for their home but yet she feels a nagging loneliness.

What is troubling her?

What is she missing?

She believes if she were to find another man it would solve her problem.

Would it though?

She would be adding infidelity into the marriage which would erode the foundation.

She would begin lying to her family.

That's not really her.

She is depressed, like a part of her is missing.

Maybe she married too young.

Maybe she gave up some of her dreams for her
children's care.

She knows the problem is in her.

She doesn't blame her husband or children.

She just needs to figure out why, even with all she has, why she feels alone.

Thank you for sharing this complex topic.

Our author brings the complexity of writing poetry.
Actually calling it chaos.

The objective here is to find the clarity and bring about the essence of the emotions.

Expressing the work as smooth as silk yet capturing the reader between the lines.

Granted it is not easy. Who's to say how we write?

Are we not allowed to write what we feel?

Should we cut and edit until the work is no longer ours?

Each piece of our work is part of us.

Can we not reflect that freely in our work?

Thank you for sharing.

One would think, in this day and time, that a recently deceased fly that occupies a mans head isn't of concern.

Just because they killed it with chemicals doesn't mean it needs to stay there.

Are we seriously waiting until it is to be mounted on the outside of his dead head for study?

Or better yet is the doctor afraid of flies and the man will become another mutant?

Thank you for sharing and the laughs

There she was a bit bent out of shape.

She feels like no matter how she dresses or presents herself, she will still be ordinary.
Calling herself a dancing monkey is sad to this reader.
She wants to be validated and finally fit into the spotlight.
Then what next?
She considers herself nothing.
Not even worth being noticed.
She feels as though she is a waste of time.

Now lets look at this in a different light.
She is special in her own way.
She has been blessed by God's own hands.
She is important to God and important to others.
Does she matter?
Can she share her gifts with others?
Can she begin to love herself and then love others?
The spotlight, she speaks off, is created by man.
The spotlight, or guiding light wakes her every morning with the dawn.
She will one day find that gift to be filled with limitless possibilities.

Thank you for sharing.

She was ready for the chaos.

She knew what she wanted and went rapidly down the isle.

Were there casualties left in her wake? Perhaps.

This was Black Friday and we all know what happens then.

Waiting for the doors to open at an extremely early hour to be first.

Those advertised temptation items were waiting for those brave and fast enough to reach them.

Then the surprising ending.

They were young men and believed in their mission. They had to get the word out and show their support for Abe Lincoln.
They were strong and many who marched in good or bad weather.

It wasn't like today with mass media. Instead they walked the dark street with lanterns to guide their way.

Thank you for sharing and reminding us all that our freedom isn't free. It takes people to get involved and have conviction as their driving force.

It hard to be the one left behind. The relationship fell apart.

Nothings is worse than being played by a master player. Just the right words, actions and lies.

Then you realize you are one of many left in the wake of this betrayer.

There is loneliness and abandonment felt.
There are questions and yet full knowledge of what a pretender is.

It might take a while before trust is given again.

We have a man reflecting on the past.

Things were simpler and safer for him.

Being young didn't carry baggage and freedom to find a wonderland in the back yard was his.

Then, as he grows, the world seemed to bring him pain. Loosing his brother tore him apart.

Finding the love of his life and together they build a foundation of that love.

He starts a family and is blessed with a child.
Oh, what a special love it is deep within his soul. Wishing the best of everything for his little one and it's all up to him.

He no longer chases dreams and even lost a few.
He knows now that there are still some dreams and limitless possibilities just waiting to come true.

Here we have 3 brother strings trying to get into a bar.

No luck. The bartender says we don't serve string.

Well, the string brothers, try as they might with not success.

The last string brother tries something new.

Love the ending.
The twist on words.
Caught me by surprise.
Clever and well done.

Our author brings us a parody to check out tonight.

Since the subject is wine-filled Christmas and a Champagne-filled New Year, I guess we all need to go shopping.

Just be sure and not get filled with Merlot before driving to the Mall.

You might find yourself walking the long police check-in hall.

All in all pretty good job.

Our character has had a busy day but laying on the damp grass brings comfort.

A coolness that is most needed.

The character wonders how such small pieces of nature seems to be just what is needed.

There are willow branches; green and filled with life just above. The stars are shining.

Over the centuries, one might say, it is a miracle that nature still survives.

We as caretakers haven't done a good job.

Then comes the comparison between heaven and God.
All this amazing tapestry He has created for us is just a glimpse of heaven.
When we treat it with such disregard we are not honoring God.

Heaven will be our new home and God waits with open arms for His children.

Thank you for sharing.

Here we have an interview with the sun.

We all know how children are full of questions.

Here we have a child asking the sun where does it go when darkness falls.

Does it go to sleep and where?

Does it move elsewhere to cast its lovely light on others?

A few more questions and then comes the reassurance from the sun.

When the morning comes so does the dawn and it's light again.

Thank you for sharing.
