This lady has a cat that pretty well runs the show. Lets consider the cat the queen of the castle.
There is virtually little that pleases this ill tempered----cantankerous feline.
But when all is said and done there comes the evening snuggle time, that makes up for it all.
Lets just say this 18 year old cat has more than 9 lives.

When you think about poetry don't you just love
to bounce around the rhythms and the sing-songy rhymes?

That's what makes poetry so special. Emotions, a myriad of emotions. Those that make you laugh, love and even cry.

The wiggling toes makes me think of little kids reading their first books. When you stop to think about it the books teach them about sound and matching by their very composition.

This is good!! Thank you for sharing.

So many young people believe the hype that after school, things are going to fall into place.
Well it really isn't like that.
They begin to find that the illusion of catching that brass ring will be simple. No sweat. No problem.

Life isn't a bed or roses and sometimes it even stinks.
You got to keep going cause you never know what you'll find around the next bend.
Never give up on you or your future.
Put some muscle into your determination. It isn't all the hype in books.
Don't feel your are the only one that might fall on a few bumps in the road. You might even find a fallen someone to help back up and keep going.

This is a very interesting piece.
I like the way the author introduces himself to our site.
He has the same desires we do. He wants to put his writing out there and have it received.
After so many pieces are presented we know each other over vast miles through our words.
The most amazing thought of all is how we connect and are accepted and find it important to look beyond the surface of the words to the heart of the author.

This reminds me of a country song. The guy just knows that his lady is waiting. He just has to find her. The right one. The one with the warmest eyes. The biggest heart. The welcoming arms.

A man finds himself in a dark place.
There is a gap between what he knew all his life and what has been fed him like a good steak.
Well, the steak is spoiled and is spoiling him.
Because of this change he has forgotten what the good food of the Lord is.
He is being tempted and his throat is burning from the evil words in the liquid he drinks.
He feels he has no control over his mind any longer and is being persuaded to move in the dark direction regardless of what he knows.

He is strong with the Lord's love.
He is hopeful because of the Lords love.
He will run toward his Savior path.
Pray for that freedom he once had is as close as
His open loving arms away.

She was young and excited about the new carnival coming to town.
All the children could hear the noise and even music from time to time.
Finally the night came of the grand opening.
Lined up waiting to pay her way on that swing ride.
She looked and found the right swing for her.
It was perfect.
The swings begin being carried higher and higher. Round and round. Faster and faster.
Then the unthinkable happens.
She is lost and forever trapped on that swing.

This is good. The picture fits well.

Could it be our author is bringing us along a trek to the past.
This place just might be an old place where there were bands and celebration. Perhaps a fairground.
The old balloons being mentioned.
Could there possibly be a merry-go-round with animals to match those cloud animals.

Then the pinwheel keeps spinning a tale of another time and place which still offers a bit of whimsy even now.

It's a dark and lonely night and our character is unnerved.
The noise won't stop.
There is a figure in the window becoming larger. Could this be a figment of him imagination of death walking about.
Soon he is certain it is death knocking on his door. Fear is escalating and he knows he will never see the light of day again.
As with Poe's writing; our author brings the fear to notice a bit subtly. Then before you know it the fear is all the reader can think about.
Even to the extent of wishing perhaps the character might find a light in that horrible dark and death stenched room.

We all know how relationships can be off and on for years. They get mad, then make up again until the next fight.
Well, we find our character taking that difficult step of cutting the ties that bind.
No more playing Ping-Pong with the heart.
Starting fresh is on the agenda.
It takes conviction and determination. Most of all courage to break loose from those things that drag you down.
There must be a better life around the bend.
Keep going toward the sunshine and let it be your guide. Leave the darkness behind.

This is a cute basis for a children's book.
It helps them learn about numbers and creatures.
I like the part about the little mice, slipping on the ice.

Then counting the sheep and falling to sleep.

Kids you got to love em.
This little kid hears a noise and lays there pondering what it could be.
I get this mental picture of him with the blanket pulled up just below his eyes. Staring from side to side. His eyes as big as half dollars.

Finally, after investigating and imagination going wild he finds out it was nothing harmful after all.

We all know how rough school can be. All the little groups of the best of the best and the rest of the rest.
Well we have a heart broken just because he crossed that line.
She laughed at him for asking.
He felt a bit of a anger as they laughed.
Sometimes in a moment like this a young person might start growing up.
They might realize that being rude and mean isn't the way to go.
That possibly that young person might be missing out on a good good friend.

Lets look for a moment at the situation this author is in.
For some reason this author thinks that the work put forth is no good.
How could she have got that idea?
Could it be the author ran up against one of those highly critical reviewers who found absolutely nothing good about the work?
That's all it takes sometimes to make an author feel why bother.
Unfortunately, because the writing isn't "any good" thoughts come to mind that nothing else is.

Lets look at this same author if there had been someone to help and encourage rather than tare apart.
We, as authors, put so much into our work. To have some show some consideration of that point means a lot. Trashing something doesn't help anyone.
There has to be something good to mention.

A single mother looks in the eyes of her trusting innocent baby.
She sees peace there and no time for hurt yet.
She knows one day, though, the world will start taking it's toll on her child.

Becoming discouraged because reaching it seems impossible.

Our author reminds us that there are all sorts of emotions going on inside our bodies. Some not so pleasant.
The object of the piece is to remind us to reign in on those negative and hurtful emotions.
Even putting on a fake smile can serve a good situation.

I bet if we all would be honest we'd all feel like days seem to just run into the same old thing.
We find our excitement gone and not much to dream about.
