Texas Sunflower I really enjoyed this outlook into what you see as you compare and balance the life that we live... Maybe I am reading more into this than is there but if your writing makes someone think then you have the power of a true writer!!!

I am so sorry that I have been negligent in getting back to all those such as yourself that has visited my humble lil ole port. I plan to make up for this "lost time".

Its great and I mean GREAT that your going forward in this direction to accomplish what others such as myself are afraid of.... getting a book published!!!

And as you know.....

Always your friend John

Review of What are clothes?
Review by Emilbus™
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
interesting and unusual is this poll. I wear clothes because Eve ate the fruit why else.... lol

I find that clothes are more for protection from the outside sources of harm... Not only the weather but I work in an enviroment that often has sparks and welding and other types of airborn harm.

And if I didnt what would I do with my keys and wallet?

Your philosphy carries alot of wisdom as well as weight!!!

I find this a very possibility not a probability though...

Your very intense post brought back a Steve Miller song... remember Steve Miller?

Feed the babies
Who don't have enough to eat
Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
House the people
Livin' in the street
Oh, oh, there's a solution

Yes this is possible but the wealthy usually giving to a charity is their absolution for whatever wrongs they have committed.... I say there is more to life than just giving to a charity... Help your brother and sister for we are all in this together.

Your foundation is quite firm. You support it so many different ways with the symbolic reflections easily (so it would seem) painted by your hand!

I like the parallels you draw upon to help your perspectives!!!

Hurrah my friend *Smile*

Review of Would You Stay?
Review by Emilbus™
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
A question we all find ourselves asking from time to time and sometimes over and over...

Love, the loss of, and the feelings contained are always and forever will be topics that poets write about and express.

You have done a decent job of describing the angst that is running rampant in these simple words!

Sounds like somr really good advice!!!
The options you have discussed are quite simple however the completion of said options are totally uphill most of the time...

Turning our positive options into convictions to live by seems simple enough as well, but this is part of the solution perhaps.....

You address this subject in a very uplifting manner!

I liked this post!

It takes and effort to write (and relive) the moments that embarrass us!!! I have many and lately I have tried to express some of them in short story form. I loved your story!!
It made me laugh!!! And a laugh is a good thing for me as they dont come near as often as they should.

Thank you for your wonderful post*Smile*

The love that you describe here tell of many others love!!

I am not the best to even rate a poem about love as I tend to not understand this one emotion, that I thought I knew only too well.

It is a tribute to the one who you wrote it for and I applaud your convictions

Great writing here!!!

I like the rhythm and the flow that seems so flawlessly put to paper (or in this case screen)!!

To use prompts to express your thoughts is really so intimidating to me... You do it rather well I see!!

What a sad poem.... one of the emotions that seem to be written about alot.

The way you express it seems so intense, clear, consise, and yet the sting of love lost lives on...

I too have felt the exact feeling you have penned so well!!

I believe it was Einstein that when asked about world wars he commented the 3rd world war will be fought with Atomic weapons.... the 4th world war will be fought with sticks and stones..

After reading your post this thought somehow crested in my memory. I believe that this is quite an imperfect world complete with terrorism, overpopulation, corrupt politicians, contamination of all that was good (air water food). Who do we blame?
I think that Leadership somehow led us down this path as I contend that most Americans are like a flock of sheep just feasting on the dollar unawares of the waves that this creates within our enviroment and world that we inhabit.

When I was a child there were foreign cars... Volkswagens. Volkswagens that was the foreign car... Now look around you. How many foriegn car companies are out there chasing the American dream and taking it home to their own country all the while thinking in the back of their mind "those stupid Americans".

Usually about now I apologise and put the soap box away however I will no longer apologise for having an opinion and stating it... I will apologise for the forum that I chose to reply in.

The point of no return: that point that it is easier to complete the journey rather that go back to the start.

Are we there yet?

Interesting situation that you have written about here...

I also enjoy the ending !!!!

It enhances the poem as a whole in my humble opinion.

I have ended a poem on a simular note and have been both praised for the allure and pitied for not closing the way the reader wanted...

Keep on writing and I'll keep on reading!!!
