I agree with you. True love is more than romance it is friendship and more. That one friend who stayed with you through the hard times and happy times , the one who was there for you in truth and honesty is more than what any lover can give. Wonderful and insightful poem on forgiving others and yourselves. As you said here there are many things that don't let people forgive others and themselves. I have been through the same problems where I just leave the place because talking would only make things worse. To forgive from the heart is always a difficult task but as mentioned here
"The greatest gifts in life are the ones we don't deserve." we have received the undeserving forgiveness from God and we ought to do the same to others and ourselves. Well written..

Beautiful poem and dedication to your friend. The comparison of a human and a sparrow you have done here speaks volumes about the wonderful qualities of your friend. The friends she makes, friends both big and small, strong and weak. Finally though she passes way, she still stays in her friends heart.

Just like your title the message you have portrayed in this poem is like a burning flame. You have written how you will not live a life full of promises in sorrow and vain. You push yourselves forward to higher things than sitting in the hurt and pain of the past.

Hello Caroline,

Nice and thought provoking. Its true most of us are not the person we seem to be when we are with people. We are different to different people and why are we putting this kind of act in-front of people is not known. Sometimes we are unknowingly forced to be someone we are not because of the pressure from peers and parents so in-order to adjust with the situation we become someone we are not. We need to be strong and courageous to be ourselves wherever we are.

Meaningful and deep letter. Death is a thing most of us dread to even think of or imagine what it would be like. You have written here a letter asking/ pleading God for how your death should be and what the world should think of you after your death.The words you've used are very good and the depth of knowledge you have about the current age and how it is referred to as is also good.

Hello Redtowrite,

A very interesting and sad tale. Surely this tale has a very intriguing twist and yet the truth strikes and the lives and love of Steven and Noni are brought to an end. The dedication and love of the mother is just great. The cold grand-parents who could have come and visited and help the girl and her mother. The ending was good , emotional and finally the feeling that the child need not suffer any more but can be at peace with her dad.

Lovely poem about a shy person and his/her feelings. I'm able to relate to most of these lines as I have been shy in the past. Overcoming a shyness is always a difficulty but tired with some help from friends this can be overcome. One of friends has this feeling of how everyone else can be bold and not shy and only he is that way, I'm still trying to make him come out of his shyness but don't know when I'll succeed. Wonderful and powerful poetry. Few people make us smile and few others make us cry, but when the person who made us smile is the reason for the tears and pain it is much for hurtful and painful. Love the most misunderstood and misused word I can say has caused many a true loving soul to be crushed by lies and lust of this selfish world. Hello,

Wonderful poem. The title is apt and the words used are also good. As described here no-one would expect a old beggar to be thanking and praising but this old man not only does that but though I'm sure he has no education he has knowledge that none of us could ever attain. He must have been peaceful though a man with no money, no food and shelter. Comparably we though we are blessed with all this we are not peaceful at all.

Lines
"Grace is when God gives us what we don’t deserve…salvation.
Mercy is when the Lord doesn’t give us what we do…damnation" - Very Insightful and tells about the great qualities of God.

Hello KTM,

Wonderful and Insightful passage about ballet flats and sneakers. Both are my favourite shoes but I never got to think of them the way you have explained here. Personally I feel very comfy with ballet flats than my sneakers (that's just me!!). It certainly does bring out the good old feminine character of any girl. Though we walk we almost feel like dancing wearing those because of the flexibility you mentioned here. Nice quote " Dancing is the poetry of the foot. ". Very interesting passage, shoes, love it !!

I generally like love poems... I like how the fact that years together does not cause it fade but strengthens the couple together as described here...

They may be getting old but they still feel and share the same love which doesnot go low but grows as every passing day..

Sounded and felt almost like a suicide note... The effect of the poem moved to think this person might me someone real and wanted to comfort and console this person described here..
