Hello! Just dropping by to leave a comment or two. Poor Sheamus, he let the holiday get the best of him. Bet he hears about it from the other leprechauns! Your poem accurately followed the form, and the rhymes were just fine. Interestingly, centering your lines created a little hill, and one can then imagine Sheamus ending up at the bottom. *Shock* Thanks for sharing. *ThumbsUpGreen*

Hi! I'm here with the third review as part of your winning bid on Package #2 in the 4 Seasons Raffle. I enjoyed your Grandma's story. It's always interesting to me to get glimpses of the past through the eyes of an older relative: a bit of courtship, a snippet of WWII, teaching in Kenya.

What I liked best: your grandma's determination to become the best version of herself, even without one hand. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Hello! This is your second review as part of your winning bid on Package #2 in the 4 Seasons Raffle. You chose an interesting premise for your story - living characters inhabiting a painting. Your animated flecks of paint realistically discussed their concerns regarding their future, and I'm glad they managed to stay "in the family". Thanks for sharing this with us, and keep writing!

Hello! This is your first review as part of your winning bid on Package #2 in the 4 Seasons Raffle. I've always liked stories that have a bit of fiction wrapped around a bit of history, and this one is just that. So many lives lost due to Lusitania's severe list, either preventing the launching of lifeboats or leading to their destruction. Set against all that is the immediate attraction, perhaps even love, between William and Margaret.

William told his grandkids a great story, and the dialogue felt very natural. I loved the dream sequence and then its realization at the end (I'm looking forward to one of those reunions myself), as well as the appropriate Scripture reference. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Review of Indecisiveness

Hello! I found your item via a search for new authors [Newbies] as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. First of all - welcome to WdC! I hope you've been enjoying your time here. The everyday bits of indecisiveness sure can be annoying, but the "big-ticket items" can stop you in your tracks. By definition, it's impossible to know how a situation would be resolved at the end of 'the path not taken', so choosing a course can be very difficult, and practically having the choice made for you doesn't necessarily make it any easier. I hope circumstances allow you to make an informed decision and that, as a result of that decision, things turn out as you would like.

Thanks for sharing this difficult topic with us.

Hello! I found your item via a search for new authors [Newbies] as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. First of all - welcome to WdC! I hope the last couple of months have helped you to find your way around here.

Although it's short, your poem hints at the incredible resistance the LGBTQ+ community experiences when trying to express 'non-standard' feelings for someone. What I don't see in it, though, is any hint that you'll give in to that pressure. The way I see it, you're going to be true to yourself, while hoping that society changes. Tough to do.

Thanks for sharing this with us, and have a great evening.

Hallo! I found your item via a search for new authors [Newbies] as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. First of all - welcome to WdC, even though you're not the newest of the new ! *BigSmile* I hope you've been enjoying your time here. The man has an interesting way of looking at things, which Louis seems to adopt at the end. The idea that if you set your mind to doing a thing every day, no matter what, actually is a bit like seeing into the future. It also folds in Jan Paderewski's and Jascha Heifetz' beliefs regarding practice: "If I miss one day of practice, I notice it. If I miss two days, the critics notice it. If I miss three days, the audience notices it." Seeing the future, though - a cool concept. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Hello! I found your item via a search for new authors [Newbies] as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. First of all - welcome to WdC! I think you're going to enjoy your time here. This is a cute story about a person in your past, important both to you and to Pennsylvania. Having a relative who designed something in 1930 that's still in use today - and a recognized historical structure to boot - is pretty darn cool. The contractor's guys and desk clerk must have been imports from Ohio, or something; Columbia and King of Prussia aren't that far apart. It's very cool that you have personal memories of him; mine only go back as far as my grandfathers. I like the pun in the item's title (On A Bridged vs Unabridged) *BigSmile* Also, I know of at least one WcD member from your great-granddad's neck of the woods, so that's neat.
Thanks for sharing this with us and, once more - welcome!

Hello! I found your poem via Browse by Genre as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. You weave a cool tale of planning a trip to Maui, how it's going to be funded, and how color is part and parcel of the whole process. Tangerine is certainly there to be seen, in their trees and also painting the sky when the sun hits the clouds just right. Lovely! Enjoy your trip and thanks for sharing this!

BTW - the view from the top of Haleakala is fantastic but, on your way up, watch out for bicyclists racing down from the summit; staying in their own lane isn't always a priority *Shock* Also, the Declan video just cracked me up. *Laugh*

Review of Lines of Love

Hi! I found your poem via Browse by Genre as a participant in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I thought I'd give it a read and, perhaps, make a comment or two. Ah, the complications of longing to express one's love set against a fixed nature. How has the journey been made in the past? In person, certainly, but that can be situation-dependent. For both their sakes, we can only hope the journeys become more frequent.

The part I liked the best: "...and wind my thoughts in silken strands of verse...". Thanks for sharing this with us!

Review of Bird in a Box

Hello! I'm participating in "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy, so I was reading the Noticing Newbies Newsletter titled "The Reluctant Participant looking for an item to review; I found this item as suggested reading. Having your poem listed there means someone's been checking out your port, which means you're already making a name for yourself - yay! I like the repeated first line, setting the scene for what's to follow. The story goes from freshly caught, through your growing realization that wild things ought not be kept captive, to your discovery that, although the bird has flown, it has left a bit of itself behind for you. Thanks for sharing this with us.

As an aside, I would guess that you've already found the forum for Newbies - "Noticing Newbies. If you haven't, you should check it out. There are several links listed which will then take you to more places than you can imagine, helping you get an overall view of the site, and to get used to the most common terminology and frequent activities. Welcome to WdC!

Hello! I found your tribute via a search as part of my "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy activity and thought I'd give it a read and, maybe, make a comment or two. Junior obviously made a significant impact on you, more perhaps, than others of the same time period. He was influential in your community and appears to have done much to further certain interests (motorcycles and community gatherings, for example). You seem to have had him as a kind of role model; it looks like he served you well. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hi! I found your poem via a Valentine's Day search as part of my "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy activity, so I thought I'd give it a read and, maybe make a comment or two. You seem to have created an anti-Valentine, using it to tell the tale of poor Vesper and how he was wronged. Perhaps he's the reason couples we've known suddenly drift apart, for reasons not apparent to those closest to them. An arrow from Vesper would do the trick. Then again, it's just a poem...right? Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hello! I found this via a Valentine search as part of my "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy activity and thought I'd give it a read, and maybe make a comment or two. Hello! I found your puzzle via Browse By Type as part of my "Special Round of I Challenge... Jeopardy activity, so I thought I'd give it a try and then make a comment or two. You chose good words for the puzzle, in that they're not too difficult to figure out. Since the system doesn't create puzzles that look just like the ones in the newspaper, there are usually few clues by way of multiple adjacent letters to help solve a particularly unusual word. You also paid attention to the layout. Not everyone does, and that can lead to conflicts where words cross.

You may want to make a few tweaks: for 6 Across, change Conflicts to Conflict (better matches the singular 'war'); in 1 Down, amend it to read "...led by a King and/or Queen."; and for 3 Down, change 'There' to 'Their'. Again, these are just suggestions; your puzzle works just fine as-is. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Why do I think this could make Nurse Ratched's Number 1 - and on a continuous loop, no less - on her psych ward's PA system? This is absolutely hilarious, even without the word substitutions! Thanks for setting it up for us!

Hi! As a novice Madlibber, I must say I'm very impressed with how well my random words fit into your framework. The blank after "She is very..." turned out strange, but only because of my word choice. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I, too, enjoyed my interactions with Rixy, and was sad to see her case turn White. This puzzle is a great reminder of what she was and what she did for the WdC Community. Keeping the words separated by spaces created quite the challenge for spotting the words, especially those running on a diagonal - for me, at least. Thank you for creating this in Rixy's memory.

This was fun, SLITHER12! Having some longish names yielded a good-sized grid, which made locating the shorter names just a bit more challenging. My only nitpick - observation, really - is using the hyphen in Nathaniel's last name; it made him pretty easy to find. I've seen other puzzles where the creator used hyphens and apostrophes, though, so you just do what suits you. Thanks for sharing this with us!

BTW, Pride Park looks to be a really nice stadium - Go Rams!

Good evening! I enjoyed reading your poem and I love the message you bring. I find the pantoum to be a difficult form, in that you have to craft each line so that it "feels right" within the context of the second quatrain in which it appears, and you did this perfectly. I also thought the emojis added a little something extra, especially the praying hands. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Greetings! Looking back, looking around, looking ahead - you covered them all. I like the by-the-quatrain rhyme scheme, and how that plays into what seems to me to be a poem about choices. Things didn't happen that you expected, but "...I was there, wasn't I?". Even now, you're making choices regarding what words to use in your work, hoping that they come across as you'd like. Tomorrow? The choices you'll make will help determine the outcome.

Thanks for sharing this with us!
