I'm the lead editor for a small independent press, but I am on maternity leave for the next several years and thus not accepting submissions. I'll tell you my professional opinion on first chapters or short pieces and whether I would have accepted it or rejected it if I was looking for work. I've dealt most with controversial speculative fiction, and I'm most interested in polyamory a.k.a consensual non-monogamy.

This is a great start! I'm not familiar with the fandom, but the characters were portrayed in a dynamic manner.

Formatting tip: please start a new paragraph every time the speaker changes in dialogue. This is standard practice in fiction and helps make the piece easier to read.

Hello! I found this through the random “Read & Review” feature.

I am indeed blessed as well, though I only have one child, and I'm glad I waited. Even one child is very overwhelming for me, my husband was out of work for three years, and we've both needed therapy. I believe Husband needs more therapy than he received, but what little he did have helped a lot. Everyone has a different path to happiness and different abilities to handle the twists and turns of life.

This is a lovely idea, though one would need a large house to collect all those balls or get really creative with displaying them. Personally, I don't have the space for it, but I did get a cheap beach ball with an Earth globe on it that can be blown up and collapsed as needed for educating my son.
