Hi Kare, I’m pleased to hear you’re surrounded by art and colour. It sounds as if Udon Thani is a beautiful place. I already know the people are beautiful in outlook and nature.

I think art is important. The main market in Udon Thani is always decked out for a festival. Lots of pink at the moment.

And there are children on a bench... at least two sculptures. I really like visiting there. There's a good mix of food and shops as well.

Hi, Kare, from what I know of you I think although you have a preference for certain places in the world, you, like most of us, do need and enjoy the company of people. So maybe you are more canine than you imagine.

Green eyes... reminds me of an old song.

Cats have a way with humans... for sure. I usually can get them to trust me.

Do I get attached to places, not people? I need to ask myself that because I'm definitely more feline than canine.

You’ve certainly got a point, Kare. People may eventually have to, by necessity, learn to be satisfied with less. It’s scary how the population is exploding. Surely there’ll come a time when the world simply can’t cope. Can’t produce enough. Whether that be food, water or energy. I’m happy to have lived in the years 1940 onwards. We saw the best of times. Folks were happy to have enough.

Yes, unless there is a breakthrough in technology (like mini-nuclear-plants for the household or neighborhood) I think that nuclear power is passe.

One issue with electricity is usage. How to use less. Same with water. Engineering, architecture, prioritizing, being satisfied with what one has, just-saying-no, could go a long way in cutting demand.

A major enemy of this idea? Greed. Another? Entitlement.

We do have very hot summers, but blue skies most of the year. Our town is considered a 'tree city'. We have lots and they are always planting more to replace those that are dying.

Sounds like you live in a perfect place.

Mountains and snow are in very short supply in Mundaring. But we do have very hot summers, really blue skies, and lots of trees. I don’t miss the snow having lived the first 28 years of my life in the UK.

It sounds wonderful. I live in North America, USA. We have wild deer eating in our yard. Lots of deciduous tree forests in my back yard. We heat with corn. When we clean the corn, we always have very tiny kernels left to feed the birds. The deer come at night to raid the bird feeders. Therre are bear, coyote, and bobcats in the woods but, they so far are staying in their own area.
Lots of different variety of birds, squirrels, woodchucks' I have lived in 4 different parts of the USA and one of Panama Canal Zone. All in cities. I will always prefer rural.
